Cool whiskey-ambience. Great for happy hour or date night. I hear they even have absinthe! Service was solid. Friends were chatty and catching up so our server was direct but nailed it. All food was delicious! Will be back!

It was quiet for a Friday night. The service was fast; we had our food in no time. My wife had scallops which were perfectly cooked with mushrooms and I had brisket entree cooked for 16 hour. Bar scene but can take the family to dinner.

This place looks nice , we came here on a Friday night and it was practically empty. The place had a strong fish smell for some reason, the server was great and very helpful. We tried a few different dishes and they were just okay , the brisket fries were good, scallops were meh and buratta is hard to mess up. The portions were crazy small for what you pay and the food was not worth it. I wouldn't come back here again.

Food is great. Drinks are also. Our bartender was pretty cool and we got to converse while it wasn't busy. He showed us his recipe for LI Ice tea. I will post the picture.

I had a window seat looking right onto second street, it went right along with the rest of the restaurants ambiance. The mint julep was very tasty and fresh. The chicken flatbread was cooked to perfection. It had a nice crisp to go right along with the rest of the flavor on the flatbread. My waiter was attentive and had great recommendations. Highly recommended checking it out.

The ambiance was pleasing. We had the table in the front to see second street. However the food we ordered wasn't flavorful and it was drowning In gravy. Both entrees. I had the brisket and my partner had the lamb chops. There literally was no seasoning on the food but I can say the brisket was tender and they did ask to make things better by offering a dessert. I'd come back for a drink at the bar but not the food.

6/10/23-Very warm, eclectic atmosphere w/absolutely delicious food & great service! Dessert was totally delish as well--a lemon, berry marscapone cake--but I ate it fast & forget to take pic.

Before COVIID I really loved this place and they had my favorite- short ribs with gnocchii! Menu is smaller now and they cut many things off their pre-COVID menu. Food is still really good, service was friendly and attentive and they have some great happy hours! Best coleslaw I've ever had! Try the Mac n cheese!

A must-visit whiskey and cocktail bar with dedicated staff and warm atmosphere, this sister restaurant to Carley's always goes above and beyond to deliver a memorable meal (and the best old fashioned in the city). I have a lot to say about the food, cocktails, and hospitality, so bear with me! Food: The evolving menu at Stocks brings mindful dishes in incredible portions, and pinpointing my favorites is a challenge. I'm the type to just get appetizers and drinks, but here that can go a really long way. The recently added roasted beet and goat cheese side is a great way elevate the happy hour Muffaletta sandwich special, or staff favorite Chicken BLT. Almost all appetizers are generously sized for sharing: Classic soft pretzel sticks are served hot, the brisket Mac and cheese or loaded fries are menu gems, and the spinach artichoke dip is the right combination of rich indulgence and fluffy lightness so you don't feel like a monster if eating the whole thing alone (I do it.) The sides are reasonably priced but never disappointing- I get the asparagus nearly every visit! For entrees, the 16 hour brisket entree is incredible, but for the veg and lower carb crowd, the eggplant parmesan is hearty without heaviness. I was sad to see the caprese flatbread leave the menu, but the fig, mushroom, and prosciutto replacement is both comforting and sophisticated. Dessert: The peanut butter pie here is one of the most indulgent and shareable things on the menu, like an enormous Reese's cup, and you can order a full pie in advance for special occasions- last year I got it for my Dad's birthday and it was a huge hit. The tiramisu is one of the best in the area, and is even better the next day if you're too full but get it to go. Beverage: When I first visited Stocks, the atmosphere was cozy and the crowd was congenial, a perfect vibe for conversation, but the cocktails are crafted and bring you back again and again. If you're a whisky person, their selection is extensive, and their half-price Wednesday special from 5-7 is unreal (Their daily happy hour features $4 Old Forester and reduced beer/ wine prices, along with a selection of their most popular bites.) Their bitters collection and house maple simple syrup make theirs hands down the best old fashioned in town. If you're looking for a mindful craft cocktail, this is one of the best seats in the city, and the experienced bartender who curates is beyond creative and accommodating if you're looking for something off menu or have a special request. While William carefully designed and refined each cocktail to offer everything from a classic tin cup Mint Julep to a balanced but fruity blackberry Bourbon Bramble (probably their most popular drink on the menu), my favorites are the robust Priest Vallon featuring aged whiskey and and port, and Exit the Warrior, a true craft botanical cocktail complete with egg white and a house infusion of sage and berries. As a final note, the hospitality at Stocks on Second excels because it's truly a team working to provide every guest with an excellent experience. The kitchen staff is not only talented but kind, and they accommodate restrictions like gluten intolerance with grace. I've seen surprise groups of 16 be accommodated last minute even on a busy night, and I've watched the bartender specially hand stuff olives at request for an extra special round of dirty martinis, or muddle special ingredients for an extra herbal cocktail, or set up a proper absinthe presentation. Every one of the staff is a friendly conversationalist and will leave you feeling like your visit was special.

After a long hot day of driving (without air conditioning - 10 hours in 90° temperature) I was looking for a restaurant that would offer a late lunch that was somewhere near my hotel here in ... (where am I?).... I checked Yelp and found a restaurant about a half mile from the hotel. I walked there on the green belt becausw I needed some activity after sitting for so long. Yes it was hot but I knew a shower was awaiting me back at the hotel. The restaurant I had chosen was actually the one next-door to this. But I'm so glad that they were closed because Stock's was great. It was cool inside and the staff was very friendly. I liked the decor - a traditional dark wood but modernized too. I scanned the menu and asked the bartender for a recommendation: the brisket or the stuffed peppers? She was vegetarian so highly suggested that stuffed peppers. It was large, the stuffing of cheese and spinach was well seasoned, savory, and absolutely delicious. Marinara sauce floated around it. While waiting for my meal I noticed that they had Pisco Sours! I hadn't had one since I was in Perú. So I ordered one. Overall it was a great place to stop and have a wonderful lunch. Do keep it in mind if you are in the area! Enjoy!

We made reservations for New Year's Eve. They had a speciality menu just for new years. We had the rib appetizer and two entrees. We also got two alcoholic beverages. Everything was delicious! I'd definitely go back again to try more of their meals. I got the lobster tortellini, which was excellent and made perfectly. The restaurant has TVs, bar area, and several seating areas/options. The servers were friendly and pleasant.

Made reservations for New Year's Eve and they had a specialty menu for the night. When we walked in we were seated immediately. The cocktails were amazing and the spareribs appetizers were so tender and delicious! The beef Wellington was absolutely perfect. Will definitely be back to try the regular menu!

    Short rib stroganoff

If you haven't been here in a while, come back and be impressed. I believe they've gotten this concept implemented and perfected. The place has looked great since the remodel years ago and the menu and cooking is now on par with that updated image. The menu dishes rotate seasonally and they mix things up from time to time. Happy hour (5-7 M-F) is a great way to sample quality appetizers for $5 each. 10 wings and a brisket French fry is plenty to share with two people. (They recently changed the brisket tacos to carnitas and the fries were short rib instead of brisket). whiskey Wednesday from 5-7 is half off whiskey drinks. $4 for a whiskey sour is a great deal for such an amazing drink. Specials are good any weeknight and Wednesday is a great time to try many different drinks at a reduced price. Tonight I dined solo at the bar and was served by a cheerful Sarah who was knowledgeable and made great whiskey sours. I had a side Caesar salad to start (it was large for a side salad) and the short rib stroganoff that was served over gnocchi in an amazing sauce. I ordered a side of the Parmesan risotto and they mistakenly gave me full portion of the risotto of the day (chicken with fried peppers and onions) and it was so good. I barely ate any of it because the short rib stroganoff was so good, but I did manage to enjoy several tasty pieces of chicken and risotto. I will continue coming here for the quality food and awesome prices. The service has been top notch and I feel welcome and satisfied every time I dine here. You will too.

When I realized I'd be just minutes away late Friday afternoon on one of the nicest days of the year so far, it felt like the perfect time to finally give it a shot. Friday afternoon, 74°, end of a long work week...this absolutely screamed "patio dinner," and Greystone delivered on that front! I arrived around 4:45pm and asked for patio seating, and was seated at a great table in full sun. The vibe was exactly what I was hoping for -- calm, quiet, and a really beautiful setting. When I got there, the patio was about one-third full, but by the time I left around 5:30pm, it had nearly emptied out. That said, I could definitely see this being a go-to spot when the weather is nice, so reservations are probably a smart move if you're aiming for patio seating. For my meal, I went with the shrimp salad wrap with a Caesar salad and a Diet soda. On paper, it sounded like a solid, light dinner option. In reality...it didn't quite hit for me. The shrimp salad was very mayo-heavy with minimal seasoning, and it was loaded with large chunks of celery (like...a lot of celery). The menu also indicated the wrap would include tomato but it didn't. The shrimp were left whole, which made it tough to eat as a wrap -- I ended up just picking out and eating the shrimp and leaving most of the wrap behind...along with what felt like an entire stalk of celery. Not exactly what I had in mind. Service also missed the mark a bit. My server checked in shortly after the food was delivered, but then disappeared for quite a while. I finished eating and waited about 20 minutes for my check, with both my Diet soda and water empty and no refill in sight before she eventually came back. My total came to $24.30 before tip, which put the experience right around $30 for one person, one cold wrap, one side salad and a Diet soda -- and for that price point, I was expecting something a little more elevated, both in food and service. Greystone definitely has the look of an upscale, country club-style dining experience. The space is beautiful, especially the patio, and the overall atmosphere is appealing. But right now, it feels like the execution isn't quite matching the vision. The food lacked that "oh my god this is GOOD" factor, and the service didn't support the price point. Also worth noting -- a few small maintenance details stood out, like a broken toilet paper dispenser laying in pieces in the women's restroom and loose floor tiles near the bar that shift when you step on them. Not dealbreakers, but noticeable in a space aiming for a more polished experience. Overall, Greystone is a great spot for the vibes -- especially on a sunny day -- but the food and service didn't quite live up to expectations for me. I'd come back for the patio, but I'd probably manage expectations (and maybe try something different on the menu next time).

The Review: Men in the Kitchen…read more My reviews are different. I do not announce myself or tell anyone. I am here to do a review!! It was a rainy Sunday, and I was working up a hunger while driving Uber for content. I went to three different spots before I finally found the place I should've gone to first. The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are so good that I want to find another establishment just like it, but so far--at least on this day--nothing in the area can beat it. I don't know why I treat this restaurant like a good wife that a man might constantly cheat on but always returns to. I'm not saying that I actually cheat; I'm just using that for context! So, I found myself once again at Two Men in the Kitchen. Since it was Easter Sunday, they offered a buffet or a special limited menu. There was fish and chicken wings available, and I chose the wings. Since I don't eat meat often, I asked for their "House Sauce," and it is by far amazing. I paired the wings with the 3-cheese baked mac & cheese and sweet potatoes. I went for the sides first because I wanted to save the best for last--I already knew that house sauce was going to be incredible, especially on the chicken and greens eggrolls they have. The mac & cheese was great; it had a crunchy outside yet remained soft in the middle, and the cheese pull was amazing. The sweet potatoes were definitely homemade; I could tell because every slice was a different cut, which I appreciate because it proves they didn't come out of a can. Now for the best part: the chicken wings. They were cooked perfectly--neither overdone nor underdone, with no pink on the inside. Everything was pure. I did happen to taste a little bit of Old Bay on the wings, so I asked the chef if that was part of the secret seasoning. He said no, so maybe someone slipped some in by accident, but it didn't stop me from indulging. I also ordered one of their house special drinks--a Hennessy and rum cocktail. It was a very pretty drink, but unfortunately, I am not a fan of Hennessy. Personally, I think it tastes like house keys or licking a brass knob when you're a kid. On my scale, the drink was a 2 out of 5; I just don't think rum and cognac should mix, but that's just my opinion. The atmosphere was amazing and the bathrooms were clean. I will definitely visit this place again and again, although sometimes it is hard to tell if they are open because of the heavily tinted windows. For those who know the area, this is the old firehouse in Harrisburg. I was told that on the weekends, they clear some tables to create a dance floor, which is a nice touch. There is plenty of bar seating and booths, making it a kid-friendly environment. The only thing I don't like--which applies to every restaurant on 2nd Street--is that it's very hard to find parking. You have to do it online, via text, and it won't allow you to purchase any time less than an hour. Kinda sucks for those carrying out. Totally not the restaurant's fault though. I got the jerk quesadilla without the jerk ranch sauce. They don't serve this or their regular quesadilla with salsa or pica de gallo so it does taste a little bland. The jerk flavor isn't coming thru for me. It's a little disappointing but it's also just a quesadilla so I don't expect much. I'm not deterred though. I'd be interested in trying more on the menu. It seemed like a cozy place to sit and eat. I'd also like to eat there on my next visit. I'll update my review when I do.

We are glad we finally did. 1762 was formerly known as The Warwick Hotel, and that's the prominent markings you'll see from the street. It is a really excellent spot on the square in Hummelstown with cozy charm and exceptional service. My companion was initially skeptical when she saw wine on tap but immediately changed her mind when she saw the offerings--good quality and reasonable price point. The beer selection is also good. Not a huge number of beers but well-selected. Although we didn't have a full meal we did enjoy the sausage and honey appetizer, which was outrageously tasty with sausage from a local butcher in Hershey. Service was efficient and friendly, especially considering the bar (where we sat) was hopping. We also met the owner, Dave, who rolled up his sleeves to assist at the bar while also personally greeting customers. Our biggest regret is that we waited so long to finally visit...and we'll definitely be back soon.

The cocktails alone are worth the visit. The bartenders really know their craft, and the alcohol selection, including local beers, is solid. My only real issue is brunch. Every time I've visited after 12 p.m. (brunch is served until 2 p.m.), there's been a problem--either they're no longer taking food orders, the kitchen is backed up with a 45-minute wait, or they've simply run out of food. It comes off unprofessional and could definitely be handled better. I've noticed this becoming a growing trend during brunch service in general, and while some people suggest arriving as early as 10 a.m. for the best experience, consistency matters. If you're offering brunch, you should be properly staffed and prepared to serve guests throughout the full service window. Period. It's especially frustrating when you've traveled specifically to experience their culinary offerings and hit a wall like that. Overall, if you're looking for a spot that feels like a New York-style dive bar with elevated drinks and solid food--if you catch it at the right time--this place delivers. Just plan strategically if brunch is your goal.

I was at their original location many years ago and loved my experience there, so when I saw they have a second location in Harrisburg while on a weekend trip to Hershey/Harrisburg in November, I jumped at the chance to have dinner and a beer there. The Harrisburg location is not half as nice as the original location, as it's in a fairly nondescript building on the side of a major highway. But we nevertheless had a great time there. Our server was Arley who was superb. My girlfriend and I both got flights. Unlike most other breweries I've been to that serve 4 beers to a flight and might charge extra for high ABV beers, Lancaster Brewing Co. serves 6 to a flight and only charges $13. That's a great deal in my experience. My girlfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the lamb burger. Both came out quickly and were top notch. We had a great time and would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again. In the meantime, I'll keep looking for their beers at the liquor store.

The servers set the tone every visit. They're always warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. Sunshine has become our favorite over the years, but the truth is every server we've had has been wonderful. Chef Dougie and his crew deserve every bit of praise. The food is consistently delicious, prepared exactly the way we like it, and clearly made with pride. It's the kind of cooking that keeps people coming back, and we certainly have. My waitress (Danyell) immediately took my order of shrimp cocktail and the prime rib special. The food is where the experience soured. The shrimp cocktail (6 pieces) was cooked well and arrived chilled. The issue I had was with the garlic aeoli, cocktail sauce, and old bay seasoning dust that was generously sprinkled on top of the shrimp. Both sauces were under seasoned and the dry old bay seasoning added an odd texture and taste that detracted from th flavor of the shrimp cocktail. The prime rib was extremely tough, had no flavor, and was missing the cap. This was a big disappointment as I expected more from award winning chef Dougie Krick. The meal included mashed potatoes, however, as they do not offer a baked potato, I substituted for steak fries which arrived greasy. Total with tip was $85. Given the quality of the meal served, not a value. The server was very attentive and frequently refilled my drink without asking.

Fairly busy Saturday morning, the order line moved at a nice pace, allowing my friends and me time to examine the menu while we waited. I found it a little difficult to take in the HUGE menu and make a decision while standing in line, but that's just me. So we ordered, got a table sign and went to find a table. There weren't many available. Like, maybe 2. We sat. We watched some amazing looking food go by. The food was brought out, along with our coffee flight and other beverages. I had a 2-egg breakfast combo and upgraded to the Fruity Pebble French Toast. It was a huge amount of food, likely enough for 3 people. The French toast was beautiful dish and I couldn't finish it all. Once food is dropped off (wordlessly) there is no more "service." You refill your own coffee mug and bus your table when you're done. The food is imaginative and excellent. It's not really a service style I prefer outside of theme park vacations, but the food is good enough that I'll be back.
