The owners, Joanne and Jim Conroy, could not have been more welcoming, arranging the Rose Room with an extra cot for my youngest daughter and serving us an absolutely delicious breakfast each day. We feasted on fresh fruit and orange juice, coffee/tea, yogurt with granola and home made nut pancakes, quiche, and just out of the oven muffins. The conversation with various guests from countries like Belgium and Germany was wonderful. A rolling outdoor lawn was a fabulous spot for a picnic lunch. All in all, we can't wait to come again to visit local favorites such as Naumkeag, The Divine Mercy Chaplet, Tanglewood, The Rockwell Museum, and so much more. An all season destination, come to Conroys, hands down better than any hotel! Five star!

There are several restaurants, an ice cream store and coffee roaster within walking distance of the Inn. Our room was lovely (Tanglewood room) on the first floor - which was nice with our dog. Every room has a patio/balcony where you can sit out and have coffee, wine or read. The innkeepers were so nice & have thought of just about everything. From bathrobes to dog biscuits. It's non-contact check-in, checkout & breakfast. Breakfast is left in your room the day before. Milk/juice, yogurt, fruit/scone or quiche, pastries. And really good coffee/machine - from the local coffee roaster. The grounds are beautiful with gardens. There is a short path in back into the woods - but as John (innkeeper) said - beware of poison ivy. There was also a neat trail nearby that John told us about, with unique sculptures to discover along the way.

Lenox, Massachusetts, of course is absolutely beautiful so we spent our first day watching the Boston symphony orchestra and Yo-Yo Ma at Tanglewood. We arrived at our bed and breakfast after and were greeted in a friendly manner by Stan, the innkeeper. We were given lots of information in a personalized note and guest book. I can't imagine operating a bed and breakfast during a pandemic but Stan's expertise made for a safe and relaxed experience. A breakfast buffet was included. It was delicious. We sat in the dining room but might try the porch tomorrow morning. The pool is amazing and warm. We took a walk to town this morning where I did a little shopping. Tonight we will go out to dinner and tomorrow we will enjoy another breakfast and leave for a different adventure.

Jim's breakfast desserts are phenomenal and the Happy Hour with live music is superb with Doug and Jim both lending their voices to entertain guests in collaboration with a pianist that truly brings back the concept of Parlor music into the 21st century. The musical ambiance at breakfast is also reminiscent of my own playlists, with a mix of classical, new age, and soft instrumental listening. The historic inn retains much of its charm with original details throughout - truly a step into New England country charm. My partner, now fiancée, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it will forever be memorable as our engagement destination. We are looking forward to returning for many years to come!

Though the inn, like most old homes, abuts the road, once you're on the property it's perfect. The grounds are massive. The Inn: The house itself is beautiful, inside and out. Every room (two shared lounging areas, one dining room, and the room we stayed in) were so well decorated and put together. Nothing felt too precious to sit on or enjoy, and nothing felt cheap. Amenities: Our room was cozy and beautiful. The bathroom floor warmers were a nice surprise on the cold November day we stayed. The Aesop products were a welcome treat, too. Only thing I would have asked for were more plugs given the number of devices we travel with. The breakfast: Oh my god the breakfast. The owners cook it themselves. Simple, tasty, local. And I don't know where they get the beans, but the coffee is absolutely perfect - especially on a fall morning like we had. One note: They have a sweet, friendly dog who is mostly in his own quarters but if you're deathly allergic I'd email them to make sure you have the accommodations you need.

Our private bathroom had excellent water pressure, something you don't always find in older homes. The towels were fluffy, the sheets freshly ironed. I loved the lulling sound of bullfrogs at dusk, and the morning chorus of lowing cows. This inn is a gem--truly the best of the Berkshires.

Anita was great to coordinate with about check-in time, showed us around the home and was helpful with activity and dinner recommendations. Before arriving, my biggest concern was that the rooms and bathroom were not going to be up to my cleanliness standards because let's face it, it is someone's home and it is an older home. This was definitely not the case; everything was spotless in our room and bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was nice, we were able to chat with the other guests and Anita's food was delicious. She is very accommodating to any dietary restrictions and her presentation is lovely. Breakfast is served on China and silver that was passed down through her family. If you interested in the history of the Inn, just ask her- she's happy to share. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you're planning a trip to the Berkshires. This country style oasis is the perfect Eco-tourism spot. It even features a few hiking trailks to a nearby gazebo offering beautiful views of the area.
