I came here for the sushi and fried rice and was quite disappointed. Growing up my now husband loved this place, so I have been a few times in the past few years. Each time seemingly more disappointing. Their fried rice had little flavor and was definitely nothing like traditional hibachi fried rice. The sushi is quite expensive around $15-18 a roll and left a lot to be desired. It did not seem too fresh and as newer sushi lover it made me doubt if it even like sushi. I think it was better the next day which is a little sad. The rolls were also very small. I'd recommend another place for sushi and fried rice especially for the price. For these two rolls and a side of sushi I spent around $55. I have given this place a few tries but I think I'm done trying. I'd rather save my money or spend it elsewhere. read more

We went in for dinner and they had a new waiter the poured an entire bowl of scalding soup on my husband splashing from his head down. Not 1 person asked if he was OK. The kid took the soups but didnt come back so I took napkins from the silverware and cleaned my husband and the floor. Horrendous that management couldn't be bothered to see if their customer was ok and even worse that they made a 1st day employee continue to be embarrassed by management not handling the situation. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this was highly disappointing. My daughter made reservations for my birthday on Saturday. I specifically told the waitress I couldn't have sesame seeds on anything. She assured me that they don't use them on anything, which I found odd for hibachi. I ordered the shrimp it came with fried rice and veggies. When my food was plated, everything but the shrimp was covered in sesame seeds. When he placed my shrimp on top, seeds from the veggies and rice got all over the shrimp, so I couldn't eat anything. When the waitress returned at the end of our meal, I informed her that everything had sesame seeds. She shrugged and said that the cooks each do things differently. There was ZERO concern, ZERO effort to make things right. No manager visited the table, so I'm guessing the manager wasn't informed. They are lucky my allergy isn't a life threatening allergy. So disappointed with dinner. We sat at the hibachi grill and it was obvious the Bria's was not getting hot enough as there was no seat on anything and our chef left 3 times to talk to someone. He still served us the food. We talked with the manager and he took the scallops off the bill but that was all. The only thing I would warn you about is that they add a three dollar surcharge if you get fried rice. This was my first visit to Stix and it was an extremely lack luster experience. Scratch that, border-line terrible experience. We had a reservation for 5 people. There was a minimal wait once we checked which was fine. Once we sat down it was a solid 10inute wait for our waitress. When she came we were rushed into ordering drinks, appetizers, sushi, and our dinners. Thankfully we had 10 minutes to look over the menus. Drinks arrived. Appetizers arrived. Everything was good but slow. Then our cook showed up. He was in a rush to do everything. Didn't talk to anyone at our table. Put on zero show. Undercooked steaks. And then walked away. That's it. No shrimp catch and no interaction at all. And instead of serving the little big of veggies he had leftover to someone, he threw them away as well as an entire order of mushrooms. Such a waste! Half way through our dinner, the waitress brought a bowl of white rice for someone. This is when we all ordered refills because every single person at our table - including those not in our group - were completely out of drinks. And had been for a while. This is the only time our waitress came by until my husband went to talk to the manager. We were brought our checks, togo boxes...but still no refills. Oh, and at this point, they had come to sing happy birthday to our table too. Still no refills. It wasn't until AFTER we had paid that she brought out refills. As we were leaving. Seeing as sushi sates me in the most blissful way, my family decided to make a trip down to the Legends for my birthday! It took a NY minute to get drinks, but everything went uphill when our server Vladimir came by! He brought a sense of humor, lively spirit, and took great care of us. He was quick with the drink refills and came by often to make sure we weren't missing anything. We ordered 2 Shrimp Pad Thai, General Tso's Chicken with brown rice, and 8 sushi rolls: 2 Philly*, 2 Phoenix*, Las Vegas, BMW, Red Dragon, Dynamite (* are my favorite rolls, hence the 2nd order!) They were so generous with the filling of the rolls and the fish tasted fresh. I was impressed with the quality of all of our food. At the end of our meal, the waiter brought out two bowls of ice cream. My family and I sang "Happy Birthday" while Vladimir danced! It was such a sweet gesture. Overall, it was such a blessing to be in such a joyous atmosphere all night. My family and the service absolutely made my day! It was all smiles and laughs! Let me begin this review by saying: I try not to be too harsh to restaurants. However, this was truly the worst Asian fusion food I've ever had. We split the Dan Dan Noodles. Honestly, I was super hungry so my food bar was set pretty low. It was gross. Tasted like spaghetti noodles topped with ground beef and teriyaki sauce. I have occasionally eaten at Stix over the last 6 years. The food has never been outstanding but the staff was nice and the food was acceptable. I love Sushi and this is the nearest sushi restaurant to my home 6 miles. They have reached a new low and I won't be back. 1) They have the illusion of a full compliment bar but could not make a Manhattan due to the lack of ingredients. 2) the Nigiri sushi looked like it was a 3 year old's art project. Not sure who made it but it truly was a 1 on in a 10 scale in appearance and taste. 3) the "Godzilla roll" (restaurant favorite) was a mushy fall apart concoction wrapped in indestructible seaweed. This chain restaurant was a bust for me. The hibachi show was neither spectacular nor entertaining. Hibachi prices start around $18 for chicken and go up to $32 for steak and seafood. It significantly lacks flavor and was extremely bland. Fortunately, I also ordered sweet and sour chicken and kung pao chicken off the Wok menu which was average, but made up for the hibachi meal. We went to Stix last night for my sister-in laws birthday. There was only 3 of us for a hibachi dinner. The place is DIRTY!!! There was a bowl on the floor by my foot that had 2 broken egg shells in it. At the table across from us where the cook stands, there was a broken egg shell on the floor and a lot of food scraps and dirt. A guy came in with a broom and dustpan but didn't hit those areas. If it's that dirty where customers can see the dirt, can you imagine how dirty it must be in areas we can't see. We have been to other hibachi style restaurants and the cook usually puts on a little show. He did toss shrimp into my s--laws mouth but that was about it. He tried the onion volcano but it erupted into a blaze, not like it's done at other places. I felt they were just trying to get us fed and turn the table over. I had the rib eye, but it was expensive ($31.00) and not very good. I can get better rib eye for much less at another local restaurant. My wife said her food wasn't very good either. First time going today around 7:30pm on the dining side. It was not a good experience and first impression. Bathrooms were awful. Water all over the floors in stalls. Toilet paper holder was open in mine and the toilet paper was all on the floor. One stall was out of order. No one was in trying to clean up the mess. I didn't go back in to see if it was cleaned up. Employees acted like they didn't want to be there. The host to us to our table and he wasn't very friendly, he apparently wanted to go home. The server was nice but very slow, we ate our appetizer before she even took our order. It was still steady when we got there but got slower around 8pm. We saw some other servers cleaning the floor or putting tables back to where they were at, but they could have helped. I got a really good drink, pineapple dream cake. Yummy! We got the crab wontons for an appetizer. They were good, but small. The girl that brought them wasn't friendly at all and just kinda put the plate on the table and it made a loud sound. She obviously didn't care. Finally we ordered and got chicken fried rice and beef lo mein. Both were pretty good but the fried rice didn't have any carrots or scallions like it said on menu. Had a lot of sprouts, it just looked kinda boring. I ate some and I was just done with it after 5 minutes. I will add more veggies to it at home. Beef lo mein was way better. Better flavor. We were so disappointed with our most recent visit to Stix at The Legends. 5 of us went to dinner on Saturday June 5th with a 7pm reservation, to celebrate my grown sons birthday. First we didn't get seated until 7:20, then We were rushed through our dinner. It seemed as though they wanted us out in under an hour. Customer service was very poor. We have been here MANY times and the dinner and cooking and eating can not be done successfully in under an hour. The "chef" barely cooked for 10 minutes, show and all... veggies were still hard and we feel the meat was undercooked. My son came home and threw up all night. We are sure this was due to undercooked food & using same utensils for both veggies and raw meat. For a $200+ dinner bill, we expect better. I should have spoke up at the time as I knew it wasn't right but I was caught up in our celebration. The people at the other end of our hibachi table said they also felt rushed.
