When we first entered the location, we were greeted by a very nice waitress. The bathrooms were right in the front, and they were very clean. We stopped in just to get a few sushi rolls. I got the veggie roll, which was delicious, and our server surprised us with a second row. This is a must-stop if you're in the Hoover location.

Service was better than in the past. Not much of a wait. We ate at the Chinese side because the hibachi area was very hot. Booths are super tight for anyone larger One of our menus was really filthy Silverware only included a fork and no knife. Server was kind, big drinks and straws set out already. Small plate set out with appetizers Portions were minuscule in comparison to the price

It was good. Basic hibachi grill, complete with flaming onions and a good time. Good for date or groups. They sit you at a large table with others. Chef puts on a show. I notice uneven portions of rice and veg given to folks but hey, that's life. Cocktail just ok. I'd eat here again. Walkable from hotel in Galleria.

We went last Sunday the service was good the cook was good but we had too talk to him he wasn't very entertaining but the food was great

I absolutely love this place. The wait can be kind of tedious, but it's with it. We came here on a Sunday for my nephews birthday. The wait was about 45 minutes for the hibachi side. Let's talk about portion size. OMG you with plenty of leftovers. I ordered a kids shrimp meal for my daughter and as you can see in the picture it looks like an adult plate! The sushi is always good here to. If you come on the weekends be prepared for a wait, but like I said the entertainment is well worth it!

This is my all time favorite hibachi restaurant. I've been eating here for around 13 years and the service has always been top notch. They have a Chinese and a Japanese (hibachi) side to the restaurant. A pro tip: if you love hibachi but have seen the show too many times, if you don't like eating with strangers or if you're tired of the chefs throwing shrimp at your face. I'd suggest going to the Chinese side where it's normal booth seating and ordering hibachi from there. They prepare it in the kitchen and bring it out to you as a finished product. I've tried everything on the hibachi menu. Everything is delicious but when I want to splurge, my go to is fillet and scallops. Don't forget to ask for yum yum sauce (orange). It makes the meal for me.

Stopped here in on Sunday to have dinner with the family and I wasn't sure of what to expect. Other restaurants like this around here have disappointed me in the past but I was willing to give them a try. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the server seated us and asked for our drink order. The menu was your standard hibachi menu. We started out with the soup and salad. The soup was really good and had just a little kick to it. The salad was your average salad. We had the steak, chicken, scallops, shrimp and your vegetables and fried rice. Our cook was very entertaining and made sure we had enough food. Our portions were a nice size. He did a great job in preparing our food and made sure there was no cross contamination. I have found a new place to enjoy the hibachi grill experience.

Dish #1: Xiaolongbao, XLB, or as Mr. Chen's calls it: A5. Small steamed bun (pork with vegetable) I love these things. Sweet, juicy, soupy, I just wish they came with black vinegar sauce as their sauce is sweeter than I expect. Dish #2: A4. Pan-Fried dumpling (chicken with vegetable). We exclusively get them pan fried not steamed, the pan fried in my son's opinion are eye-rolling good while he will not even touch the steamed ones. I get these everytime since he is addicted to them and asks for them once a week. Dish #3: Cumin Lamb. I love lamb, but even if you are not a fan of gamey flavors, you may still enjoy this dish. The meat is sweet and flavorful with very little game. This has become a frequent purchase. Dish #4: SP.2 Boiled fish in szechuan special pepper. My wife loves this dish due to the peppercorn numbing effects. I love this dish for the flavor of the fish. I only wish this was spicy with a thick layer of hot pepper oil ontop, but my wife perfers it exactly as it comes. P.S. If you get this delivered, be careful, although they bag it twice, there is likely a lot of soup that has spilled into the inner bag. Dish #5: SP. 3 Boiled fish in hot oil. So due to the lack of spice I desired in Dish 4, I tried the fish in hot oil. I really enjoyed this dish, however there is less broth and they did not keep the peppercorns. Someday in the future I will probably end up mixing SP 2 and SP 3 getting the hot spicy oil I want with the peppercorn numbing. I do not know why they do not have both in one dish. Will make another post about that if it goes well. Dish #6: SP. 9. Hot & Numbing style tofu. This mapo tofu is pretty good! I enjoy the spice, though I feel like it should be even spicier. It is always a toss between this or the lamb. Overall Mr. Chen will remain my local dealer of spicy Chinese food and dumplings.

My moo goo gai pan had barely any chicken in it. There were huge chunks of vegetables and it was way too starchy. It was like they were trying to compensate for the lack of protein in it. I haven't ordered from them this year, but I did tonight. Listen the economy is rough for everyone but I paid $15 for this chicken and they used maybe 1/8 of a chicken breast in it. Not cool. Hate to leave the negative review, but I need to warn people that they're using filler food to complete the orders and charging more. What's not cool anywhere these days is paying more and getting way less than just a few years ago. All of us are working hard to earn money and it just feels so disappointing to not get what you pay for, especially when you're paying more than you used to. I don't know who to blame for this. If I wanted a carton of vegetables I would have eaten a frozen bag for $2.50 tonight.

We got so many things to start with Coconut water rice cake. Yes it does have the consistency of a sponge cake. It was good! I also got some Panda red bean buns. Cute and also good! For drinks: Sake, Taro bubble milk tea, and a Thai milk tea. We tried Winter Melon and clam soup For my entree I got Chicken with Lotus root which I enjoyed, My husband got crispy intestine . (My husband said he has never had it done that well-clean taste ) I tried it and it was ok. My son got the Szechuan style sautéed brisket and he ate it up ! To go yep we got sautéed pork belly and eggplant, pork, & basil . Both were also good. The waiter worked his bum off and we gave him a good tip. The only complaint were the young boys working up front who weren't friendly and acted like working was killing them. Why I didn't give you a 5! Otherwise you would have deserved it !!! All the food was delicious! Now on to the market - I like this better than the hometown market why they have many things I haven't seen including Jin noodles I have been looking everywhere for!!!! We bought many things to try including cucumber, orange, and what I thought was Mango potato chips. Nope it was abalone ! Not so good but the orange was good Of course Jin noodles , tiramisu mochi, banana milk rice snacks(yum) , tamarind drink, orange pepper spice, and chili crisp Our cashier though was joyless . Would I go back to both ? Yes I would!!

What a pleasant experience!…read more I ate here one afternoon as part of a self-care day. Upon entering, I immediately felt as if I were taking part in a celebration as I took in all of the vivid colors and decorations that adorned the space. I was warmly greeted, and taken to a table that had been freshly wiped clean. My server was very sweet and recommended several appetizers to start my dining experience. She complimented my handbag and we shared small talk over the uniqueness of it. She also brought out chilled tap water that I requested and poured it into a small glass. I decided to try the lavender lemonade and I'm happy I did. It was glass of my favorite childhood drink served in a restaurant. The lemonade was sweet as if my mama made it and the lavender added just the right pizazz to the drink. Plus it was a pretty drink! I loved the fresh flowers that added an elegant touch. Now for the main course. I opted for the drunken uncle noodles with beef lunch special that includes a complimentary crispy roll. The roll could've been a tad bit warmer, but not a deal breaker. It was still tasty with just the right amount of crunch. The star was the drunken uncle noodles. They were absolutely delicious! The spices, the flavors, the tenderness of the noodles and beef were all superb! I've been thinking of this dish since I ate it and I can't wait to order it again and again!
