Yesterday my husband and I had an early dinner at OSushi. We went there several years ago, and I really don't know why we never went back. The food is fresh and delicious. My husband had two rolls, one was the Auburn roll, and I forget the name of the other roll, but he loved both of them. We have tried the crab Rangoon and calamari for appetizers. I did enjoy the crab Rangoon but I wouldn't order the calamari again. It wasn't bad just too chunky for my preference. If I had to sum up my visit in a few words, I'd say great service and amazing food! My husband and I have ordered sushi as takeout from here a few times, but tonight we decided we wanted to try ramen for the first time so we chose to dine in. We entered the establishment and I noticed they have a 98 health rating, which definitely makes me feel good. We're almost immediately welcomed by a nice lady who quickly seats my husband, me, and our boys. My kids wanted Miso Soup and sushi rolls and my husband and I wanted ramen. The lady who greeted us was our waitress as well and she answered the questions we had about some of the ingredients in the ramen. I ordered the Beef Ramen and had spicy miso paste added for a kick. My husband decided on the Roasted Duck Ramen and asked that the bean sprouts and scallions be removed. The kids food was brought out first and I was really impressed by the presentation of the sushi rolls. They were garnished with edible flowers, which they ate. Our ramen was brought out not too shortly after and it looked so good! We can officially say we love ramen! We both enjoyed ours and it was definitely more than enough food. All the ingredients paired well together. Our waitress surprised us with some sliced fruit as dessert, which my kids loved. She was very attentive to us during our visit and really helpful. You can sit at the sushi bar if you want to watch the chef make your rolls right in front of you. I tried the gyoza and the summer roll. The gyoza I did not like. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered food online last night and was told it would take 35 minutes. I got there around 35 minutes. I paid and left a tip (I shouldn't have left any tip) and waited. I ended up waiting over an hour for my food. The "hostess" or whatever you want to call her was incredibly unhelpful and seemed like she was a high schooler. It seemed like she was avoiding me so she wouldn't have to talk about how long it was taking. After an hour I finally got my food, and went to the car and realized my order was wrong. I went back in and STILL couldn't get anyone to help me. At this point I was livid. I regret paying for this and wish I had asked for a refund. When I got home and gave my husband his food, this was his $20 "Teriyaki Chicken" that looks like it was from a school cafeteria. The avocado in our sushi was also rotten. Our meals came with the standard ginger salad and miso soup. I had the salmon which was a good sized portion. It came with veggies and fried rice. My fiancé had the seafood tempura which is a giant amount of fried food. He didn't read the description well and didn't realize it was all fried so he wasn't happy with his but wasn't the restaurants fault. I have eaten here several times. The sushi has always been very good. The ramen unfortunately has been hit or miss. The last time I got the ramen it seemed like it was right after the broth was made, I'm used to ramen broth that has been cooked for 12 to fourteen . The staff could be a little more courteous to the customers. Several times I have been there and I feel they are rushing you to get finished with your meal. The servers tend to be eating their meal or being on their phone. I never want to bother someone if they are on their lunch break, so maybe they can take turns. I will continue to try this establishment in the hopes it will get better with time. Overall, I will go back and keep trying it if I am in the area. We found a LONG HAIR under our sushi (see photo). After telling our server, the owner first offered to take off 20% of the bill. I was unhappy that they still wanted me to pay for my sushi even though I couldn't eat it. The owner then accused me of planting the hair and that I had already finished most of the food, even though I had only eaten 3 pieces of a 12 piece order of sushi. If I was trying to game him, I would have eaten the expensive special Toro before telling him, but instead I had to leave it because there was HAIR on the food. He kept asking me what we wanted him to do, I said I cannot pay for food I cannot eat. I tried to reason with the owner, but he was very confrontational. She came back and I ordered a lunch special of one spicy tuna roll and one salmon roll, and I added 2 orders of salmon sashimi. The sushi was made to order and she brought it to my table pretty quickly. I have not seen her since. At first I was mad, because their soy sauce is VERY salty and I wanted to dilute it with water, but she never came to check on me. But now I'm getting worried. Is she ok? Instead of spicy tuna, I was given spicy salmon, which is ok but not what I asked for. I know the difference. Sushi is my favorite. No. One. Came to check on my. After about 20 min someone walked to my table, sat a bill down without saying anything, and walked away. The stopped him and asked for a box. He came back and sat it down, again without a word. The sushi isn't great. It's mediocre. The service could have made the difference in this experience, but instead it added to my tragic lunch. I will not return. read more
