O Sushi was absolutely fantastic! I tried the spicy tuna rolls, and they were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The presentation was beautiful, and every bite was delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was modern, clean, and inviting, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional, adding to the overall great dining experience. Sushi is better than all in Tuscaloosa and also much better than Blue Sushi Sake Grill at the Summit (which sucked). But, don't order the pork Katsudon as it is thin sliced, over cooked and dry as hell. This dish should be thick and juicy as it is in Japan. Service was good. read more

Finally found the time to dine here. Been craving sushi, so we went with the mini love boat. Plenty of food for two. It was delicious. We loved the tuna, yellowtail, salmon and whitefish. We also got to choose two special rolls which were also outstanding. The miso soup that we started with was good. Overall, lovely and clean place, nice staff, good quality fish for fair pricing. Will be back soon to try more of the specialty rolls. read more

We eat here often, it's a hidden gem. The food is fresh, beautifully served, and the service is always good.

absolutely love this place. i love their ramen, calamari, and sushi. And the servers were also really super nice 10/10

My favorite place in town to grab sushi! The service is always friendly and fast! The sushi is fresh and everything is delicious!

Yesterday my husband and I had an early dinner at OSushi. We went there several years ago, and I really don't know why we never went back. The food is fresh and delicious. My husband had two rolls, one was the Auburn roll, and I forget the name of the other roll, but he loved both of them. As a matter of fact, when we got up this morning, he said "I'm still thinking about the rolls I had. They were super good." I had the sashimi deluxe. It was fresh and cold. We will definitely be putting this jewel on our rotation list. read more

This place was a nice change up in our usually sushi spots. I really like the bamboo wall and cleanliness. Not a lot of staff, but they are efficient. We have tried the crab Rangoon and calamari for appetizers. I did enjoy the crab Rangoon but I wouldn't order the calamari again. It wasn't bad just too chunky for my preference. For our meals, we tried the steak hibachi, the salmon hibachi, which come with soup and salad. We also ordered the shrimp tempura roll, the eel roll, and the triple roll. read more

O sushi is the place to go if you want to eat real Japanese food! I've tried chicken katsu and shrimp and vegetable tempura bento box and also ordered dragon roll. Chicken is nice and tender. Tempura is very authentic real Japanese! Sushi is very good because sushi rice is so good and fish is very fresh and tasty! I also tried yakitori chicken which is nice and delicious with good taste sauce. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to eat good Japanese food! I will definitely come back and try more menus! read more

If I had to sum up my visit in a few words, I'd say great service and amazing food! My husband and I have ordered sushi as takeout from here a few times, but tonight we decided we wanted to try ramen for the first time so we chose to dine in. We entered the establishment and I noticed they have a 98 health rating, which definitely makes me feel good. We're almost immediately welcomed by a nice lady who quickly seats my husband, me, and our boys. My kids wanted Miso Soup and sushi rolls and my husband and I wanted ramen. The lady who greeted us was our waitress as well and she answered the questions we had about some of the ingredients in the ramen. I ordered the Beef Ramen and had spicy miso paste added for a kick. My husband decided on the Roasted Duck Ramen and asked that the bean sprouts and scallions be removed. The kids food was brought out first and I was really impressed by the presentation of the sushi rolls. They were garnished with edible flowers, which they ate. Our ramen was brought out not too shortly after and it looked so good! We can officially say we love ramen! We both enjoyed ours and it was definitely more than enough food. All the ingredients paired well together. Our waitress surprised us with some sliced fruit as dessert, which my kids loved. She was very attentive to us during our visit and really helpful. When she brought our ticket, she had some candy that was really good. It tasted like mango. We will definitely be back to this gem we discovered! read more

I came here last week. It was an okay experience. This place is a lot smaller than I expected it to be, but the inside was very clean. You can sit at the sushi bar if you want to watch the chef make your rolls right in front of you. I tried the gyoza and the summer roll. The gyoza I did not like. I'm very particular with my seasonings and would not recommend it. The summer roll I loved and would totally recommend! Service was alright as well. read more

Perhaps a bit of a hidden gem, they consistently deliver excellent quality of food and service. I have eaten here many times over the years, and have never once been disappointed. It is obvious that the chefs take pride in quality and lovely presentation. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the interior is clean and modern with a very relaxing atmosphere. They even play cool music. Love it. read more

I ordered the So so soy sushi roll and had the kitchen make me a veggie ramen with spicy miso broth. The sushi roll was not as expected but it was good. I would order again. The ramen isn't worth repeating. The broth's flavor wasn't developed. The veggies they put in it were cabbage, carrots, broccoli and celery. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, the restroom was clean and the service was decent. read more

Birmingham's Hidden Gem for Sushi! They have the highest grade sushi in town and excellent service. They had lovely wine and sake pairings. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered food online last night and was told it would take 35 minutes. I got there around 35 minutes. I paid and left a tip (I shouldn't have left any tip) and waited. I ended up waiting over an hour for my food. The "hostess" or whatever you want to call her was incredibly unhelpful and seemed like she was a high schooler. It seemed like she was avoiding me so she wouldn't have to talk about how long it was taking. After an hour I finally got my food, and went to the car and realized my order was wrong. I went back in and STILL couldn't get anyone to help me. At this point I was livid. I regret paying for this and wish I had asked for a refund. When I got home and gave my husband his food, this was his $20 "Teriyaki Chicken" that looks like it was from a school cafeteria. The avocado in our sushi was also rotten. This is my first time ever leaving a bad review on any platform. I have eaten here many times and never had an issue but I will never be coming back. read more

Horrible customer service. I placed an order online at 12:05 and arrived at the restaurant at 12:30 after being told it would be ready between 12:20-12:30. I'm still waiting at 1:05 even though they've taken several walk in orders who got their food right away. No apology no explanation. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be back. read more

This is definitely a sushi place, so if you are looking for really good sushi, come here. We had the viagra roll for an appetizer. It was really, really good. Our meals came with the standard ginger salad and miso soup. I had the salmon which was a good sized portion. It came with veggies and fried rice. My fiancé had the seafood tempura which is a giant amount of fried food. He didn't read the description well and didn't realize it was all fried so he wasn't happy with his but wasn't the restaurants fault. Next time we go here, we will probably just stick with the sushi for our main meal. Can't wait to come back! read more

Bleh, ordered the chicken teriyaki dinner it was awful! We did take out, the chicken came bare/dry with some sort of salty non-Asian seasoning/rum on it. The teriyaki sauce was served on the side and it overly salty as well. I couldn't finish it. It cost almost $19. Extremely disappointed as I would not have expected a restaurant of this caliber that servers excelled quality sushi to serve awful food like this. read more

This place is a hidden gem! I went for an early dinner around 430pm today and the place was completely empty which was great! Service was quick and it's just a really nice atmosphere. The sushi was AWESOME. My friend and I fought over the summer roll because it was THAT good. All around great sushi and good vibes. Side note: The regular soy sauce tasted like pure SALT and the reduced sodium soy sauce wasn't any better in my opinion so beware. Overall 10/10 recommend for fairly priced quality sushi. read more

We found a LONG HAIR under our sushi (see photo). After telling our server, the owner first offered to take off 20% of the bill. I was unhappy that they still wanted me to pay for my sushi even though I couldn't eat it. The owner then accused me of planting the hair and that I had already finished most of the food, even though I had only eaten 3 pieces of a 12 piece order of sushi. If I was trying to game him, I would have eaten the expensive special Toro before telling him, but instead I had to leave it because there was HAIR on the food. He kept asking me what we wanted him to do, I said I cannot pay for food I cannot eat. I tried to reason with the owner, but he was very confrontational. He said I can only give you 50% off the sushi, not the entire bill. I am sad I cannot come back here anymore. read more

I have eaten here several times. The sushi has always been very good. The ramen unfortunately has been hit or miss. The last time I got the ramen it seemed like it was right after the broth was made, I'm used to ramen broth that has been cooked for 12 to fourteen . The staff could be a little more courteous to the customers. Several times I have been there and I feel they are rushing you to get finished with your meal. The servers tend to be eating their meal or being on their phone. I never want to bother someone if they are on their lunch break, so maybe they can take turns. I will continue to try this establishment in the hopes it will get better with time. Overall, I will go back and keep trying it if I am in the area. I would not make a special trip here though. read more

Ok. I am a seafood and sushi fanatic and I love trying restaurants based on recommends from friends and family. I came here once with my cousin, but it was on a Monday and to my dismay, they are closed on Mondays. Today I figured I'd give them a try since it's one of my cousin's favorite spots. I get here around 2:30. The place is empty. A lot of places are, since Covid. Not a big surprise. I'm dining alone and greeted quickly. She was friendly and took my drink order quickly. She came back and I ordered a lunch special of one spicy tuna roll and one salmon roll, and I added 2 orders of salmon sashimi. The sushi was made to order and she brought it to my table pretty quickly. I have not seen her since. At first I was mad, because their soy sauce is VERY salty and I wanted to dilute it with water, but she never came to check on me. But now I'm getting worried. Is she ok? Instead of spicy tuna, I was given spicy salmon, which is ok but not what I asked for. I know the difference. Sushi is my favorite. No. One. Came to check on my. After about 20 min someone walked to my table, sat a bill down without saying anything, and walked away. The stopped him and asked for a box. He came back and sat it down, again without a word. The sushi isn't great. It's mediocre. The service could have made the difference in this experience, but instead it added to my tragic lunch. I will not return. read more

O Sushi is located next to O'Brady's and so I'm thinking Irish sushi bar? And just in time because St. Patrick's day is right around the corner. Nope, just coincidence. We found this to be a nice independent restaurant offering a good selection of Japanese dishes, sushi, and sashimi. Behind the strip mall store front, we found a very well decorated dining room with well placed booth, table, and bar seating. For lunch, my wife had a futo roll and spicy tuna roll. Very fresh and flavorful. I tried a steak teriyaki bento box. The box was good, but I thought the steak had too much teriyaki sause and the veggies were bland. Both were served with miso soup and salad, and we thought these were good. I definitely will go back and I recommend. I'm gonna stick with maki rolls and will want to try their nigri next time. read more
