Dry good food. Generous serving. Servers were accommodating to mix and match what we wanted.

This isn't Thai food. It's Chinese. The Cajun place is Chinese too. I don't get it.

They have so many different types of ramen that are perfect when you need something warm, flavorful, and comforting. My absolute favorite, however, is the build you own sushi burrito. They have so many different additions and proteins to choose from at a very affordable price for the volume you receive. My friends and I also love stopping in just to grab boba at the front to-go counter. The boba always comes out very quickly and they have a large menu of fruit teas and milk teas to choose from. Service is always quick and friendly and I usually am able to be seated immediately. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for Japanese cuisine, or just to gather at a restaurant where there is something everyone can enjoy!

I've been craving ramen since January of 2025 (literally LMAO) The ramen was rich, comforting, and perfectly cooked, with a great variety on the menu so everyone can find something they love. The boba tea was also fantastic, sweet, refreshing, and a perfect match for the meal. The prices were super affordable too! About 15-20 per bowl which was much cheaper than what I've seen previously. What truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Accep. He was a total hoot and had us laughing the entire time. So silly, energetic, and genuinely fun, he turned a great dinner into an amazing memory. His personality alone could light up the whole restaurant, and his service was just as top-notch. We absolutely LOVED him. I can't wait to go back just to see him actually, LOL. Delicious food, great selection, awesome boba, and an unforgettable server.

Love Back Forty, along with the rest of Birmingham. There's always so much going on here,…read moreespecially when the weather is good. Tons of kids and dogs outside. People often host their own little parties and events at the picnic tables here. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and it seemed like a lot of families came for lunch and to hang out after church. The food here is certainly impressive food for a bar to me. I love the wood fired pizzas. I will say, I think the size is a bit awkward. They're a little too big to be a single serving, and a little too small to be for two people. The beer is all good. Service at the bar always friendly. The fries here are some of my favorite in town. Shoestring.

They've got a huge selection of beers and a full dinner menu, so there's something for just about everyone. Whether you're coming for drinks or planning to eat, you won't feel limited. Parking is plentiful, which is always a win in Birmingham, and there's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. It works well for small groups or larger parties. One thing to know going in: this isn't really a full-service setup. You order and pick up your own food, and aside from someone occasionally clearing empty pint glasses, there's not much table service. We actually didn't receive utensils with our food and had to go back up to the counter to grab some. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. I ordered the catfish sandwich with fries. The sandwich itself was delicious -- crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. My only small gripe was that it came in a to-go box. I understand it probably makes cleanup easier for them, but it does take away a bit from the dine-in experience. The fries were shoestring style, which just aren't my personal favorite. They're fine, but I always feel like I need about three handfuls to feel satisfied. We went on a Saturday night and the brewery was packed -- and I mean packed. It was very loud and definitely more of a party atmosphere than a relaxing dinner vibe. If you're looking for a quiet night out, this probably isn't it. But if you want energy, beer, sports on TV, and a fun crowd, this place delivers. Overall, it's a great hangout spot to catch a game, grab a drink, and enjoy good food -- just expect a lively, high-energy scene.

This place is a true hidden gem and overall great local restaurant. It's run by an elderly Korean…read morecouple who clearly put a lot of care into what they do. Everything is made from scratch, so you're not getting mass produced food off a Sysco truck like you would at chain restaurants. That alone makes a huge difference in quality and authenticity. Because of that, yes, prices might be a little higher than what you'd expect from a chain, but people need to understand: this is a small, local business. With how much costs have gone up lately, places like this are the ones most affected. You're paying for fresh ingredients, and real cooking. The portions are also very generous. Most dishes are easily big enough to share between two people. The rice portions are more than enough for one person, honestly, and if you feel like you need more, that's more about personal eating habits than the portion itself. The atmosphere is simple and homey. The owner may be sitting in his recliner watching Korean TV, but he still takes your order, brings your drinks and food, and makes sure you're taken care of. It's not fancy service, but it's genuine and relaxed. And you're not pressured to tip, overall, everything feels very no-frills and honest. At the end of the day, this isn't a chain restaurant, it's a small, family-run spot where two hardworking people are just trying to make a living. If you're looking for authentic, homemade Korean food and don't mind a casual setting, this place is absolutely worth it. You truly get what you pay for here.

I've been here a couple of times for lunch…read more Seems like they must do mostly takeout or dinner. When I have been there, I don't recall any other dine in patrons. Plus after bringing me my food the person went and sat in a recliner to watch TV. At least this time the food was on actual plates and not in a to go container. The food itself is really good. The most recent trip I decided to get an order of Man Doo (crispy fried dumplings) to go with my Beef Bul Go Gi Lunch Box, not realizing or remembering that the lunch box included 2 dumplings. The Beef Bulgogi was season well and tasted great. Rice was the typical Asian restaurant nice and sticky white rice. The kimchi was pretty typical but seemed very freshly prepared. The restaurant itself is like a hole in the wall type that would fit in any city's Chinatown. Dine in experience was not bad but when drinking water only comes from room temperature water bottles on the counter by the register, future trips may be for takeout instead.
