Rex, just waking up!

After reading reviews I was a little worried about going in, but also convinced these ladies know what they're doing and that this is the best place to buy a bearded dragon. I WAS pleasantly greeted and informed about bearded dragons. I did not feel pressured to buy anything. The dragon was pricey but also raised with love and so healthy and beautiful. You get what you pay for. I was expecting a totally different experience after reading these reviews. Go in for yourself and make up your own mind. I didn't bring my kids, but it's just not the pet store for kids. There is no space. Bring your kids to petco for a trip if they want to go to a pet store, then look at the available animals online at stingers and pick one. Thank you ladies!

This is Esther, a Sulcata Tortoise. Normally it's walking around the store. So if you go be sure and close the door behind you.

If you are into Reptiles, Spiders, and anything creepy crawly than this be the place for you! It certainly is like walking into a reptile zoo when you go in there. The store itself is run by a sweet old couple who know quite a bit about their reptiles. They do carry a small, but VERY hard to find selection of live foods. Probably a great little place if you're into Reptiles or Spiders. I'm more of a fish guy myself so I walked around, said hi, and left. The store is very well maintained both inside the cages and the store in general. The one thing that turned me off is as I went to leave, finding nothing I could use, there was a few "Donation" buckets. A note attached read of how it costs them lots of money to run the store, blah, blah. I couldn't help but to think that maybe they should increase the diversity of their "Weird Animal World" to just more than tarantulas and turtles. I did notice quite a few empty tanks that could easily house a small variety of other aquatic life? Just my pet peeve when a store invites you in with flashy signs, than turns around and asks you to donate just for having the privilege of walking in.

Since then they have been my go to for live feeder insects, new equipment, and the occasional treat for our beardie.

My dog went on Sunday for a cut. Ashley cut my dog horribly. He's a miniature mixed poodle and came…read moreout looking like a chihuahua, and the cut is uneven on his body and tail. HE WAS ALSO CUT, there is a deep gash on his tail and the Manager Michael did not contact Ashley to find our more details on what happened during my dog's service, nor follow up with me. HORRIBLE

I just rescued a dog found roaming around Detroit. Made an appointment to have her washed and…read morecleaned up at the location on middlebelt in Livonia. They refused to take her because she doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet! I offered to carry her, 25 pound mini poodle and again they said no. I explained one more time to the rude and ignorant groomer that she was just found/rescued and needed a proper grooming. SERIOUSLY PET SMART YOU GOTTA DO BETTER! Because she was a stray and not trained you can't groom her? What about puppies, they are leash trained. Older dogs with arthritis that can barely stand, handicapped dogs with special needs in a wheelchair, they can't be groomed either? I work with shelters all over metro Detroit and I am just disappointed and disgusted that you turned away a neglected dog that was adopted and just wanted her freshly groomed for the holidays! I'll be letting everyone know not to depend on pet smart for grooming needs if your rescue dog hasn't been leashed trained. Which 99 % percent haven't BEEN BECAUSE THEY WERE FOUND ROAMING THE STREETS EMANCIATED, TIED UP TO TREES, LEFT AND ABANDONED AFTER OWNERS MOVED, THROWN OUT OF CARS, LEFT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO DIE. YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO TURN AWAY A PERSON THAT HAS STEPPED UP TO FOSTER OR RESCUE A DOG IN NEED JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID OR DON'T KNOW LEASH TRAINING YET!!
