Best fish store around. I have never had a bad experience and always have what I need and what I'm looking for. 10/10 highly recommend.

Clean, well maintained shop, helpful staff. Large assortment of both fresh and salt water fish as well as supplies.

I like this place generally. Good selection, healthy looking animals/tanks. My only negative experiences come from a specific staff member. Went in last week to buy Chaeto for my refugium and everyone generally repeated it back to me as CHAYto which I expect. But what I didn't expect was for two of the team members to have an internal dialogue behind the counter about how ridiculous it was to pronounce it KAYto when CH is present. I would have at least expected this kind of thing to happen after I finished paying and left. The insistence that CH is only ever CH like in the word cheese (which the specific staff member I usually have an unpleasant interaction with explicitly stated) is a silly argument. When you start a new game you don't create your CHAIRacter. Or if you've ever had an adjustment you don't do so at the CHAIropractor you go to the (KYRO) chiropractor. Or if you want to cook for your friends or family, you don't follow a recipe in TRONological order, you do so in KRONological order. (Obviously the pronunciation is the emphasis here not the spelling). Probably won't go back. Feel free to google, ask AI, or use critical thinking next time you want to loudly criticize a customer's pronunciation among your staff while that customer is checking out. Cheers! read more

Pet connection has a large selection of quality aquarium supplies, as well as various styles of aquariums. The fish selection is solid and looks healthy. The aquariums are clean and maintained and staff is very knowledgeable and insightful. In essence, a great solid place to enjoy or start your hobby. read more

Great little fish shop tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. This is a fish store that actually has a nice selection of salt water fish compared to other local stores. They have a nice variety to chose from and their staff are knowledgeable and friendly when asking questions. All the fish we have purchased here have been healthy and happy in their new home. read more

Excellent service and knowledge. They helped my daughter with setting up her new aquarium on her limited budget, including fish selection. They told us what would work well together, what we could reuse from another experience, what we didn't need, and even how to save money on our lightbulbs. The fish knowledge was really helpful, such as buying a brushnose algae eater fish that is a breed that will not outgrow our 10 gal tank. The rep listened to her about what she wanted, which made it perfect. I wish I remember the name of the guy who helped us with it all. You were great!! Strongly recommend!! Awaiting for my tank to arrive in the mail (Red Sea Nano) and popped in to see what they offer-was pleasantly surprised. A ton of beautiful, healthy, and reasonably priced coral and fish. For everyone who seems to post about not being helped (not sure why-God gave you a mouth; just ask for it!) I was greeted by a nice young lady who offered me help twice. I scoped out if any aptasia or unwanted pests were visible and I didn't see any in the tanks or live rock. The live rock was exceptional-a ton of coralline and looked super healthy. I failed to ask if they sell saltwater or RO but I plan to buy my live rock and saltwater from them once set up. Then I just cycle and come back for the goodies-everything looked super healthy and happy. A very nice selection of tanks and supplies as well but I wanted Red Sea and almost no one carries locally. Support your local fish store as much as possible!!! I'll update with some pics once I make a purchase. read more

Great prices, knowledgeable staff, and the best coral selection in town. The $10 frag tank holds some really wonderful treasure if you're just starting out. The staff knows their stuff when it comes to aquatics. The Pet Connection is a strictly fresh/saltwater store, so don't come expecting small animals unless you're looking for feeder mice. I get all my live rock, fish, and coral from them and I haven't had anything to complain about. Even if your just in the area it's like a underwater wonderland right in our backyard. I never go anywhere else because they really are THE BEST. read more

The owner is extremely nice and friendly. I like the store, but my only complaint is that they don't have a policy if anything should happen to these fish when purchasing them. Most stores that I have been to have at least a 7 days or 2 weeks return policy. read more

This store has a good selection and great prices on fish food. However, some of the staff act like it is an imposition to help you. Plus they were not wearing masks, which if I have to wear a mask to go into your store, is extremely inconsiderate. Not sure we will be back. read more

Great pet shop focused mostly of fresh and saltwater type aquariums. A nice coral selection with both big pieces and frags. Fish are usually in good shape and reasonably priced. As with most pet shops, cleanup crew is a bit overpriced compared to online shopping. Dry goods are reasonably priced as well with a nice selection of items. They are also well known to be very helpful when it comes to setting up a tank and drilling a glass aquarium. Overall a very nice pet shop. read more

My family has been going to this store since it opened. They have a pretty good variety of salt and freshwater fish. As far as the freshwater goes I would say they stick more to the common varieties of tropicals and cichlids, but occasionally get some interesting uncommon fish. The saltwater selection is much more interesting and they get some rare beauties in. The coral selection is pretty good. The fish are usually very healthy and the tanks are well kept. A wide variety of fish tank supplies, fish food (including live brine shrimp) and aquariums for sale. They also carry a few reptiles and small animals. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. EDIT 5/3/16: On my most recent visit, I was very impressed at how many more freshwater fish there were to choose from. There were several rare and unusual fish which I have not seen in any store in a long time. Also, they had some very nice fancy goldfish which rival those you would find on online sites specifically for buying goldfish. The tanks were very clean and the store was organized and had more supplies and food to choose from than many other stores that are similar in the area. read more

This place is wonderful. Ken is the best! He went above and beyond for my friend and I. We arrived late and he stayed open and never made us feel rushed. He is very knowledgable and helpful for everything to do with your aquarium needs. My friend and I will only be going here from now on. They had so many varieties of fish. We went to the Ann Arbor frag swap this passed Sunday and came across the Pet Connection booth and talked to who I believe is the owner for a bit. He was very helpful and friendly so we decided today to take a trip out to the store since we had never been before. We got there and walked in, we were never even acknowledged we walked around the store for a good 20 minutes while two employees were at counter. Not once did they say anything to us, we were interested in purchasing four or five corals but we were so turned off by the poor customer service we just walked out. They had some cool things in the store but I wouldn't go back just because of the service! read more

I have been going there for several years now. Sam is always likely to help as well as all the other guys. But if your doing saltwater, and need help with set up ideas and etc..., Ryan and Ken are the best. Ken has helped drilled a few tanks for our overflow boxes and the return line. Best thing I like about the place is that you ask for help when you need it and they are more than happy to help. They aren't breathing down your neck about pushing to buy things. Unless we need something in a pinch, we (boyfriend and I) usually always go there. We even had a 60 cube break on us, and they told us where to go to find out what can be done with the warranty on the tank. We once even had a tank transfer where they showed us how to cut some of the coral and transfer it to a plug to go into another tank (because it was stuck to rock of course). Whenever we had any questions they would answer it, and answered thoroughly. We have spent a decent amount of money on fish, corals, salt, and more here. All you got to do is ask and the help will come. read more

I started coming here as a kid about 30+ years ago for freshwater fish. I got out of the hobby for about 20 years then decided after MUCH (years of) research to get into saltwater. These guys are very knowledgeable and can be very helpful, sometimes a little stand offish which can be taken as rude by some people (I mean these are fish guys not Disney employees so don't take it personal!). They are never looking to "sell" you stuff, sometimes I actually wish they did try to sell me stuff a little more (overly honest maybe?). I try my best to support the local store and stay away from the internet as much as possible (mostly just research, not much buying), the prices here are VERY competitive, and when you do need help (and you will!) it's great to have the local support!!! The quality is awesome and all the livestock is healthy, healthy, healthy. If nothing else, comes by and support a local business and help prevent another empty storefront! read more
