Nice little store. Super helpful staff-I have never gone in here and was not greeted nicely and offered help. Very knowledgeable staff. Only issue is-their saltwater tanks are filled with aptasia. I don't get it. This is an issue for every single store but it seems like they don't even try. I was scouting out their store when my tank was cycling so I saw it once when I started and then 6 weeks later it was the same or worse so I did leave time to see if they tried to control it and they did not. So I will personally avoid the store just to avoid introducing aptasia to my tank. Healthy looking livestock otherwise. read more

I just started a 10 gallon fresh water tank (closed top) to entertain my cats. They love to watch the fish. I've had a fresh water tank in the past but it was a LONG time ago. Chris was super helpful. He told me what things to get for a new tank. Also, he steered me towards very economical inhabitant choices to start my tank. I started with 5 very small gold fish & 3 glass shrimp. He also let me borrow a bucket from the shop and gave me some water from an established tank in the store. I loved my shopping experience here. I will be back to this place for all my future fish tank needs. read more

This place is the bomb. Great selection of fish, and extremely knowledgeable staff. I found some of their prices even lower than online!

I've been in here numerous times and to be honest, aside from 1 experience where I was just browsing their fish selection, I wasn't impressed. I once stood in the store for 15 minutes without even being acknowledge by an employee. They were assisting other customers, however a simple "Hello there! We will be with you in just a few minutes" would have been great. Instead, I felt like a bother, so I left and went elsewhere to make my fish purchase. read more

These guys know their stuff! I have never seen this much passion for fish before. :-) Chris and Juan walked us through the whole process and helped us customize a plan to match our needs, especially since we are just starting out. They hooked us up with live plants, fish, shrimp and frogs. It's rare to find a place that turns your $20 intent into a $100 purchase and have so much fun doing so. Like a candy shop. This store is awesome. Came in for the first time today because my fiancé told me about it and wow the selection is great. They have a huge variety of salt water fish that I've never seen before and the guy was super chill but also really helpful and honest. This place is dirty. I was ignored when I went in. When I asked for help they had me wait 40 minutes with my baby! When I told them I just wanted a goldfish they said they refused to sell one to me because I didn't have a big tank and pushed a beta fish on me. Not ok! read more

The one in ypsi is quite a bit bigger but this one is still quite nice. Workers are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

First of all, Customer service is non existent. Their "waiting list" apparently takes years. Second of all, I find it comical that my 4 year old daughter asks why some of the fish fell. They have diseased fish. Don't believe me, look for yourself. More over, they claim they price match but give me a hard time matching pet connections price on salt. They are over priced and not worth the trip. Wait now, hold on. One more! They were selling me water for a year telling me it was RO/DI water. After talking to one of the managers, I discovered that the water was actually not going through a DI filter. All of their dry goods are low quality high price. Try something fishy in Westland. read more
