Mike, the owner, had told me on the phone that it would be $10 per couple. When we got there our boat driver (who wasn't Mike), told me it was $20 per couple. I informed him that was not what I was told by Mike. He walked about 100 yards away to talk with Mike and then came back to inform me that Mike thought there was only one couple that I booked, but he would go ahead and do it for $20 but I could tell he was super angry. The gentleman (I don't know his name) then proceeded to give us the cold shoulder the whole ride. Wouldn't answer questions unless asked several times and then just gave one word answers. He scowled the entire ride. I felt bad because of the confusion so I apologized again after we got off the boat. He looked away from me as I was talking and drank a big swig of his gatorade and then LITERALLY turned his back on me without a word. My family proceeded to thank him for his time and he didn't acknowledge any of them either. At this point I was furious. No matter how you feel you should never treat people this way. I immediately went over to Mike by the big boat and had a talk with him. Barely did I get my story out when Mike said he completely remembered our phone call and he had told the "boat guide" that our rate was $20 flat. So the boatman LITERALLY LIED TO US and then made us feel terrible and uncomfortable the entire ride with the grand finale of completely ignoring us at the end when I was only 1 foot in front of him. Mike was super nice and asked if I wanted my $20 back. I declined but I want to report this because the gentleman under his payroll was absolutely terrible and needs to be removed. He is most likely trying to scam all of us unsuspecting guests. If I hadn't talked to Mike I wouldn't have found out the truth. This ride would have been an amazing experience if it hadn't had been for the boatman. The view of the city and the fountain are breathtaking. I highly recommend doing a tour at sunset.

He would stop to point out Eagles and their huge nests. He even schooled us on how to identify the ages of eagles and whether they are male or female. Stopping on a sandbar to dip your toes in the river was nice too! His landing has picnic tables that I believe you can rent for get togethers, and and a handy porta potty! It's a bit of a drive from Omaha to Cedar Bluffs but a fun and scenic drive once you hit the country fields! Really only about an hour drive. Can't say enough about this company! The Good, and the not so good. We went to the Tetons and…read moreYellowstone July 2022. There were lots of activities and sightseeing. The food they provided was above average, and the tour guides, and Teton/Yellowstone hop on guides were excellent. The hotels were decent, communication was good throughout the trip, and the price for the whole trip was reasonable. There's ample overhead room for carryons. The bad was that we ran late often as old people are like herding cats and apparently time means little to them. The bus seats were less than comfortable, you weren't allowed to poop in the onboard bathroom, and the bathroom wasn't dumped for 5 days, which became a very offensive smell during the 5th day. The onboard wi-fi was down more than it was up by a bunch, and they initially didn't have the plugs on next to the seats for the start of the trip. The trips main driver didn't start the trip out of Omaha with us, he came aboard in Lincoln, and we had to wait for him to show up to continue the trip. The ac was minimal and passengers often complained of of it being too warm. Overall it was a nice trip, and I'm glad we experienced it but it could have been so much better with a little attention to detail - ac, dump the bathroom toilet, wi-fi.Everyone was pleasant and conversation was easy with all onboard. Time between stops was sometimes 3 hours, so be prepared. It's definitely for older folks - 75-85 years of age. Our tour guides toned it down as we had a couple folks who couldn't walk far, couldn't get over a curb, so they planned activities that most, or everyone could do, which left those of us that could or wanted to do a short hike out of luck. Oh, and halfway thru the trip I noticed one of the gentlemen on the bus started wearing a mask when on the bus and while walking around outside. By the time my wife and I returned home we both had Covid. The reasons above are why I won't be taking another bus tour anytime soon, but for some I can see the appeal.

When we booked this event, there was not clear communication about which room we were actually reserving. We tried repeatedly to get clarification beforehand, but our emails and phone calls went unanswered. We didn't finally get any communication until the day of our event, when we had already arrived. Unfortunately, the person we dealt with that day was extremely unhelpful and rude when we asked what we felt were very simple and reasonable questions. After making the effort to communicate ahead of time and getting no response, it was incredibly frustrating to be met with that attitude on the day of our event. We were also told that the price had been increased to roughly double what we paid last year, which was another major surprise. We've supported this venue by booking events there consistently over the past few years, but after this experience, we will not be returning. For the price, we expected much better communication, professionalism, and customer service. We also had to wait outside when our event was already scheduled to start because they didn't have our room ready.

My family and I came here for 4th of July weekend. 5th of July to be exact. It wasn't busy at all. There were a good amount of people, but it didn't feel crowded. we brought our paddle boards, jet ski and mat float to tan on the lake. It was a great time. We saw a bunch of RV's too. There's a playground on site as well as bathrooms, but expect public camping bathrooms.

It's quite a large body of water (the 9th largest in Nebraska!), so there's a lot of space to boat and fish when it is the season. The last time we were there, we saw a duck migration and got some cool photos from that, so there's definitely some cool naturey things to see. Aside from that, there's not too much to do here, but it's a nice place to relax and get some light exercise (or do some boating, swimming, or camping when it's nicer out!)
