Leo the owner personally went to check the trees and the next day Sarah emailed me the estimate. The price is reasonable and affordable. I asked for four trees to be pruned but had a last minute addition of a pine tree, and they accommodate it right there and then. Jose and Jorge came at 9am as what I've been told and worked on the trees, Leo went in to check with them after an hour which I like because it shows that he values his customer and making sure that the work is being done. The guys are very respectful of the property, they're polite and they went above and beyond what's needed to be done. They left my property clean. Sarah is the one who communicates with me through phone about things like payment, and added last minute services. She's kind and awesome, answering all my questions and making sure everything is done according to my liking. All in all, I am very much satisfied with their work, work ethics and their service, I'm glad I went with them. Definitely gonna be my go to for all my yard and tree trimming needs. Thank you guys, especially to Sarah! Pleasure doing business with you!

He also gave advice regarding "shock" to a tree if too much is removed at once. (This job was primarily to cut back trees along my property line, so that if these notoriously breakable Cypress tree limbs shattered in a storm, they would not fall on my neighbors' homes or fences.) He and his crew also provided excellent cleanup, with */no damage whatsoever/* to structures or fencing in VERY TIGHT work areas, with only 1 foot of clearance between the 30 inch diameter eucalyptus tree being trimmed and the fence: He didn't drop ANY limbs or branches onto the fence or the neighboring shrubs. His quote was fair and this job was difficult, due to the other part of it being Cypress trees that tend to split under wind load. I had had one "rush" job done the "La Niña" in 2021 by the only tree service available at the time (NOT his) and I am quite sure that A&A Tree Care would have charged 10 to 20% less for the same job. Also, he split the bill into two clear sections, so that the work on the eucalyptus tree, which was in the neighbors yard, was shown as a separate part of the estimate. This was important, as my neighbor had offered to pay for the trimming of that tree, where it was overhanging my fence and property line; the neighbors tree was a particular nuisance to me, as it was constantly dropping seeds and branches down into my trees and shrubs below. I began my own building contractor work at age 16 during high school summers and did my first arborist style of tree climbing on the tall straight, Jeffrey and Ponderosa Pines in the San Jacinto mountains in Southern California, so I know the hazards of the work and the difficulties of doing a trimming job in limited spaces. He didn't run his chainsaws or wood any longer than was absolutely necessary, as he said "Even though this noise level is permitted during the day, I don't want to disturb your neighbors anymore than I have to. I can't recommend him highly enough!

By the end of the day I called he was walking my backyard, measuring and promised a quote the next morning. Never having installed artificial turf before I really didn't know what to expect. I was surprised, it is expensive. Tony explained in detail about every charge. It made sense from the water and maintenance savings. Then to my surprise they scheduled a start five days later. The crew lead by Jesus were the hardest working people....ever. Rain slowed the process a bit but in the end everything looked fantastic. I have been in real estate for over 50 years. I have dealt with hundreds of sub contractors. Tony and his crew were easily in the top five all time greats. After the turf I asked him to bid taking down a dead tree, 85 feet high. In the past I had chased three tree service companies, only one of the three got back to me. Once I finally got a bid they informed me it might be a month before they could get schedule a service. Tony bid the next day, was the lowest bid and had it permitted and taken down ten days later. Oscar and the tree crew were another bunch of hard working positive gentleman. So, I have worked with two different crews on two different jobs with Tony. The experience was a 12 out of ten. For those who are confused by my math, he was 20% better than great. I recommend Pacific Landscaping and Tree Service unconditionally!

We recently engaged PM Landscaping for a significant paver and hardscape project, and I wanted to share our experience. We collected detailed estimates from four companies. Paolo's bid came in on the higher end, but we selected PM Landscaping for reasons that proved exactly right. From the first conversation, Paolo and his team were unusually responsive -- to our questions, our ideas, and the nuances of a historic property like ours. Finding a contractor whose design sensibility actually fits a century-old estate isn't easy. Paolo understood that immediately. We also had a tight window -- work had to be completed between event seasons -- and Paolo gave us the highest degree of confidence he could deliver on time. He also offered the best integrated approach to tying the new hardscape into parallel garden improvements, which mattered a lot to us. The result: on time, on budget, and beautifully executed. The finished work looks like it's been part of the property for decades -- exactly what you want on a historic estate. Every member of his crew -- including Roselyn and Julio -- was professional and considerate throughout. That matters on a property like ours. I would not hesitate to work with Paolo again, and I recommend PM Landscaping without reservation to anyone seeking resort-grade hardscape and landscaping work.
