The service was great. The restaurant ambience is good. They can accommodate large parties. They do add 20% gratuities if you have a bigger party. The main topic would be food, it was bad. We ordered appetizers. The sausage came hot from outside and cold from inside. Clearly tells it was microwaved. The Penang curry lacked flavors. People who got drinks on my table said they were good.

Sticky Rice did not disappoint. Authentic, flavorful, and every dish hit. The ambiance was on point and the service made the whole experience even better. Lots of parking space available and a great place for a quick lunch or dinner date!

There is lots of parking at the old Boston Market space that now houses Sticky Rice. However, the restaurant is a far cry from a fast-food chicken place and has been updated to a sleek, modern Asian eatery. Our server, Miguel, was competent and congenial. And he was very apologetic when he asked how I liked certain items and I actually told him that some items were not up to par. We ordered the calamari appetizer, which came out fried and very greasy. Avoid it. The Tom Yum soup was served in a teeny bowl with two slices of mushrooms and a sliver of chicken. But the broth was seasoned, flavorful, and absolutely yummy. Sticky Rice management please make the bowl bigger and add more ingredients. For our entrees we had the red curry with tofu, the green curry with shrimp, and the glass noodles with beef. The latter was a tad salty but chock full of mushrooms and beef and flavor. Both curries were absolutely delicious. (Though the eggplant in the green curry was raw and inedible.) Dinner for three with one appetizer, two soups, three entrees, tax, and tip was $106. Despite a couple of negatives, we liked the food and plan to return to try a few other dishes.

This place was such a great find! Our server was friendly, attentive, and helped assure us we made great choices for our first time here. The food was so good and I'm already looking forward to the next time I go.

They know how to build a flavor explosion. Absolutely delicious beef and pork belly.

Service was quick and efficient. Server assisted with selecting items from the menu. Food was very spicy as requested. Beef was tender and pork was cooked perfectly. We'll be returning to Sticky Rice soon.

Came here on a Saturday. It wasn't busy so we got seated down immediately! Ordered the lao sausage, kra pao, and larb chicken salad. I got level 3 spice and didn't think it was spicy enough. Spice ranges from 1-5. The server (Diego) was always on top of everything and checked in to see if things went well. Overall a nice and modern cute restaurant.

So we're not locals and I'm here for work. My girlfriend loves Cambodian/ Laos food and it's very hard to find one that is authentic. I found this place and was skeptical, but we decided to try. It did not disappoint. We had the papaya salad, green bean salad, chicken wings w the SAUCE, tawako (Cambodian made sausage) and nom khao. Everything tasted like it's homemade. The taste, the smell was on point. Our server was a super people person and did warn us about the food, how it's strong in a good way and not Americanize for taste. We also got to met the owner Jimmy and chatted in Cambodian . It's a huge plus for me considering the chef is Cambodian cooking Cambodian food. My only complaint is that I didn't get to try other stuff on the menu. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for that authentic Khmer food! Trimble thumbs up!!

Very impressed! Tasty and tasted authentic.... And we just got back from Thailand! My favorite was the coconut soup, good flavor. Service was good - shout out to Giovanni! The portions were good and you could choose your spice level.... I got 4 out of 5 and my nose was running from the spice... LOL! We will be back.

Sticky Rice - Plantation. Open three weeks. Same ownership as OTORO. If you walk in here and order a California roll and pad thai, then call it "just another Thai-Sushi place," that's on you. Yes, it looks like every other modern Broward Thai buildout. Exposed ductwork. Sushi bar. Dark tables. Safe, contemporary interior. But the menu tells you what they're actually trying to do -- and most people will ignore it. They're putting Lao and Cambodian dishes front and center. What we had: Green Bean Salad (Thum Mak Tua) with Raw Salted Crab -- Raw beans. Fermented fish sauce. Raw garlic. Salty, funky, unapologetic. If you think a thai style salad should taste sweet, this will confuse you. Larb Beef: Structurally correct -- toasted rice powder, herbs, proper texture. But they buried it in red onion. I sent it back. If you order it, ask for half the onions. Not optional. Pad Kaprow Chicken: Fine. Slightly salty. Not the reason to come here. Beef Kreoung (Cambodian): This is the tell. Bright lemongrass-based curry paste, stir-fried, aromatic, clean heat. No coconut heaviness. Fresh and sharp. This separates them from the generic Thai pack. Sticky Rice--Order it. It comes out of the steamer lava hot, properly sticky, slightly chewy. It pairs perfectly with the larb and the kreoung -- soak up the sauce, cut the funk, balance the salt. If you're ordering Isan/Lao dishes without sticky rice, you're doing it wrong. Now look at the other stuff on the menu: * Crispy Rice Salad (Nam Khao) * Khmer Sausage (Twa Ko) * Lao Sausage (Sai Oua) * Papaya Salad (Thum Mak Hoong) * Pepper Beef (Lok Lak) * Kreoung Most strip-mall Thai-Sushi spots don't mess with fermented Lao sausage or Cambodian curry pastes. Because most diners won't order them. This kitchen is at least trying. If you judge it on sushi, you'll probably say it's average. If you judge it on the Lao/Khmer side, it's one of the more interesting Southeast Asian menus in West Broward right now. You can't complain about sameness if you refuse to order the things that break it.

Take out Dinner on Monday ~ Pad Kra Pao with pork level 3 spice ~ absolutely delicious. My plan was to save 1/2 for lunch on Tuesday but that didn't happen. Next time I will get Level 4 spice because it honestly didn't taste very spicy to me but the flavor was amazing!

Tom Kha Gai (Coconut Soup)...I added my own chili oil from home.

This place only opened less than a month ago and I have passed it a few times on my way home. Today, we decided to grab takeout after a long weekend of soccer tournaments. I wasn't feeling my best and opted for Coconut Soup. I have always been a huge fan of the Tom Kha Gai soup and I asked staff if the broth was a fish stock and was super excited to learn that it was. Their soup is flavorful with strong hints of lemongrass and lime leaves, and the fish sauce also stands out in this soup. I enjoyed it but only after I added my own chili oil to give it a nice kick of spice. My kid had a basic Cali roll and my husband had Pad Thai. No complaints from anyone. We all liked our food but I LOVED THE STAFF. They were all super duper nice. The only thing I didn't appreciate was, I had gone in for take out and after waiting over 23 minutes, staff notified me that they had given my order away to a woman who had just walked in a few minutes prior to pick up her take out order. So they had to remake our order. We had just finished a long day of soccer, my teen was exhausted, we were hungry and now we had to wait even longer after already having to wait. But I couldn't be angry because they were pretty nice about it, apologizing and telling me that they would prioritize the order. At least the wait wasn't unpleasant with its nice decor and calming ambiance. The space was open and airy and somehow felt intimate as well. Couples sat together quietly enjoying their food and one another. I'd definitely return here to dine in.

Tried this place out for lunch today with my friend. The restaurant is big inside and very nice, modern style decor. We were immediately greeted by our server Diego when we walked in. I ordered their Thai tea which was yummy and good amount of sweet. My friend is Asian so we ordered a few dishes to share. We ordered two apps; the beef skewers and octopus & shrimp crudo. The beef was yummy and tasted like lemongrass. It came with 3 skewers. The octopus and shrimp crudo was also yummy and included shrimp chips and guacamole on top. We also had their beef fried rice, chicken pad Thai and shrimp tempura roll. The fried rice was delicious! It included red and green peppers and good amount of thin sliced beef. The pad Thai was also good. I would've preferred it spicy but my friend does not like spicy. The roll was also really good. Overall, everything we ate was delicious and had great flavor. Also, our server Diego was nice and always coming by to make sure we were satisfied with everything. I will definitely be coming back. Especially since I live and also work close by.

Super new place located in the old Boston Market location. Everything was brand new. It was not very busy since not many people know yet it is open. Staff were friendly. Our waitress was helpful to explain the menu. The menu isn't large but there's plenty of options for Thai and sushi. It is not very impressive decor but a welcoming place. Can easily seat large parties. Same owners as otero.

We found ourselves to the back where the small stage was. It was a nice turn out of people. We all got to hear about a dozen songs. Meanwhile we tried the pad Thai. I would say it was above average. Dishes were served quickly, which was not surprising considering the lunch service ends at 3:00 pm. The teriyaki was a half a chicken breast pounded thin - generic teriyaki sauce - nothing special but not awful. Chicken was sitting on top of some broccoli and carrots, dish served with rice on the side. I ordered my Pad Woon Sen with a spice level of three. The server commented that that would be pretty spicy - was I sure? I confirmed that three would be great. I was expecting a dish with a flavorful brown sauce enhancing the rice noodles, chicken, egg and veggies. What I got was some warm rice noodles with zero flavor. Zero. I stirred the dish and tried a few more bites - still - no flavor. I let the dish sit on the table - expecting the server to come back soon to check on how everything was tasting. When Rick was halfway done with his entree and she had not returned - I took the dish up to the counter. I explained that the dish was not what I expected and they offered to make me a fresh one. The second Pad Woon Sen arrived tasting just as bland as the first. I brought it home, added my own Thai chili seasonings - and it was passable. If I lived nearby - I might try their sushi - but can't recommend the Thai dishes based on our experience.
