If you're in the mood for Thai soup, noodles, or rice dishes, this is the place for you. They strictly offer these 3 types of dishes, along with various appetizers. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the staff speaking in Thai with customers. We instantly knew this was a good indicator of the authenticity of the food. The restaurant is small and quaint, with some booths on one side and tables on the other. Tonight was a rainy night, so I went with the Chicken Noodle Soup with rice noodles and my husband chose the Tom Yom Noodle (spicy level) with Pork and rice vermicelli noodles. For our appetizer, we shared the Corn Cakes and for dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice. The corn cakes were delicious corn fritters served with a clear, sweet, garlic sauce. It was so tasty! My husband really enjoyed his dish; there was a nice amount of ground pork and noodles, and the broth was full of flavor. It was bursting with lime and chilli and had the perfect amount of spice. My Chicken Noodle soup was the perfect rainy-night comfort dish. Simple deliciousness. I loved the crunch from the veggies and bean sprouts, the herby cilantro, and the added texture of the fried onions on top. Our Mango Sticky Rice for dessert was the perfect end cap for the night. Service was great, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

A great find on East Commercial Blvd! Stopped in for lunch and this place is a winner! Ambiance, menu, food quality and top notch service are abundant! I chose a Yum Mama with shrimp Salad that was absolutely delicious! I also had a Thai Iced Tea. The closest and most authentic Thai kitchen we have experienced in a long time. Bookmark this one and come to enjoy!

Noodles and more noodles! They had so many varieties including some I'd never heard of before. This Thai restaurant has only been open for about three months. It's located on the south side of Commercial Boulevard. And it's closed on Tuesdays. Inside, it's serene and beautiful. Tasteful decorations and flowers on the bar. It has a few booths as well as tables. There are some appetizers. We didn't try any, but the guy across from us had the shrimp cakes (tod man goong) and said they were delicious. The corn cakes looked intriguing, too. They have five salads. My husband had one of them -- the yum mama. He said it was very good with shrimp, noodles, lettuce and a spicy dressing. They have quite a few soup options. There are six different types of noodles including glass noodles and egg noodles. Prices vary depending on your protein choice. And if you don't want soup, there are wok noodles and meals with rice. I chose the traditional royal pad Thai. For my protein I had tofu, but you can have chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, crispy pork belly, or even mixed seafood! The classic pad Thai was excellent. A large portion served topped with a lacey egg over the noodles. Along with the meat there were scallions and sprouts mixed in. Peanuts are served on the plate alongside. I took half home. My husband also enjoyed an aromatic Thai iced tea along with his meal. Again, they have a number of drink options that are different than you'd usually see in local Thai restaurants. The food was very good. We had pleasant and friendly service. The place seems more authentic cuisine-wise than most other local Asian offerings. Another restaurant to try now before they're discovered.

Have to say, very good restaurant. My wife saw Sooods online and said we should try it. So glad we did. They definitely updated the decor inside from the last place that occupied this space. The server and service is good. My only complaint is that I ordered crispy pork belly and I was served something else. Thankfully they corrected the mistake quickly and brought me the correct dish. We started with the Thai dumplings. They were excellent. Great flavor and fresh. The dipping sauce took it to the next level. For dinner my wife had the Pad Kee Mao and I have the Pad Woon sen. Both were amazing. The flavor excellent. Everything was very fresh and cooked perfectly. We are already planning the next trip back

It was a rainy Sunday when we stopped into Sooods on Commercial Boulevard for a late lunch. Tucked away in a nondescript strip mall, it's the kind of place you could easily drive past. There is parking available, although the spaces are metered. It's a funny name that I continue to misspell, deleting the extra "o". After drying off, we walked into a cozy restaurant and were immediately greeted by friendly staff and sat in a booth. I ordered the Chiangmai Khao Soi with braised beef. The broth was packed with rich, savory umami curry, and I loved the mix of crunchy noodles, soft noodles, lettuce, and tender beef. Every bite had a different texture, and it all worked together perfectly. It was the standout dish of our meal and I'm still craving it. My husband ordered the chicken pad see ew, which was also excellent with tender chicken and nicely cooked noodles. We shared a Thai tea, which served as my dessert. I wish I'd saved room for dessert, but that just gives me another reason to come back.

Delicious food, legitimate Thai food with very friendly staff. The food was 10 out of 10. This place deserves 6 yelp stars. We travel to get here but it's well worth it. Had the coconut flavored Thai curry and another noodle dish and all were exceptional tasting with ample portions.

8/19/26- It's a cute little place really hasn't changed much since the other restaurant . Service was nice. I was solo and I only had the corn cakes which came with like a little spicy sweet-and-sour like a duck sauce. It was good, different.

You HAVE to come here!! Sooods opened about a month ago, and it already has some of the best Thai food and noodles I've had! My husband and I had an amazing experience from start to finish. The service was exceptional--everyone was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared that we enjoyed our meal. The ambiance was wonderful. I loved all the photos of Thailand throughout the space. It really made the atmosphere feel warm, inviting, and authentic. We started with the honey lime soda and the Thai coconut drink, and both were incredible. I loved that they serve the coconut drink with a spoon so you can scoop out and eat the fresh coconut afterward! You absolutely cannot leave without trying the dumplings . They were delicious! My husband ordered the Tom Yum egg noodles, and they were a total flavor bomb with the perfect amount of spice for him. If you're unsure about the heat level, I'd recommend asking for the spice on the side. I ordered the Kapow noodle dish and definitely underestimated the spice level! The server immediately noticed and kindly offered to have the kitchen adjust it for me, which I really appreciated. That level of customer service made an already great experience even better. To finish, we had the mango sticky rice, and it was amazing. They served it in an ice cream glass, which was such a fun and refreshing presentation for a classic dessert. We're already planning our next visit so I can try the beef noodle soup and a few more appetizers. If you're looking for authentic Thai food, fantastic service, and a place that clearly puts love into every dish, Sooods is a must-visit. Go support this wonderful small business--you won't regret it!

"Let's drive the extra 15 minutes, we haven't been there in several years."…read more Instead of our usual Pho Gia Vi, we decided to give Noodle House in Lauderdale Lakes another try. The main reason was one particular soup they serve that you don't see very often locally: Tom Cua, a crab and seafood soup with egg whites, surimi, shrimp, and I believe squid. It's a nice change from the usual pho options. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal reminded us why we haven't been back in a while. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. The rocket shrimp appetizer had been overfried, the egg rolls in Rachel's bun dac biet were noticeably overcooked, and the grilled shrimp on top were dry from being cooked too long. My lemongrass beef arrived with far more onions than beef, and the beef itself was on the tough side. None of it was inedible, but compared with the consistently excellent meals we've had at Pho Gia Vi, it just wasn't close. The Tom Cua was the one dish that justified the trip, but everything else ranged from average to disappointing. I'm glad we went back because it answered the question of whether our memories were accurate. They were. We'll stick with Pho Gia Vi from here on out. It's closer to home, more consistent, and every visit leaves us happy.

The service was spot on and they truly appreciated our business. We were looking for a comfortable place to have a quiet Thai meal (friend's request) and this was perfect. I liked the brightly colored tables. Someone who ordered take out decided to stay and eat in after seeing the nice little dining area. Don't let the outside fool you (small strip mall). Their English is a bit limited but the sandwich board in the dining area has very specific info. When I asked if they had pork soup buns, the waitress suggested a soup (she heard pork soup). I agreed to the soup anyways (with pork ribs floating) and it was yummy with lemongrass and other interesting flavors. A bit messy to get the meat out of the soup and off the bone but the meat was very tender. My friend and I split a meal and it was just the right amount of food. Neither of us could pinpoint the spices. Who cares, it was delicious. I never take food photos but Yelpers always request them so I have included some. The presentation of the yummy salad with cabbage standing straight up deserved a photo. My guess is anything you get here will not disappoint. Give them a try!
