Great music shop in the heart of downtown. They have classic vinyl, CDs and even cassette tapes. They also offer some t-shirts and baseball caps up front to the right when you walk in. It's a smaller shop but it's got a ton of good stuff packed in. We looked through the vinyls as we have a friend who has a record player and debated a couple of options, but didn't end up leaving with anything cause we just weren't sure what she already had. Great store in Springfield. Great selection that is super well-organized and easy to dig through. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable but not intrusive, he knew his stuff and was helpful but wasn't a music snob. I found prices to be exceedingly reasonable and they give very fair store credit if you bring in items to trade. I really enjoyed this shop, one of the better record stores I've been to and I found an lp I'd meaning to get for awhile. Good stuff. read more

I think this is the only "record store" in town. They do have a nice selection of used and new vinyl. The new is mixed with the used. So if you are looking for U2 you might find a new, sealed "greatest hits" next to a used "rattle and hum." They have a large selection of jazz which appealed to me. I found a decent copy a "The Who" album, I opened it up and found a scratch on it. The clerk played it for me to make sure it was just cosmetic which was nice touch by the store. try before you buy. Overall, they carry vinyl, CD's, T-shirts, posters, turntables and ahem... "water pipes" so you have a good chance of finding what you are looking for here. read more

We stopped in on our way through Springfield and went here despite the reviews about 'unfriendly' staff. We're so glad we did go there as they were very friendly and helpful. The CD's are in cases so they have to get them for you. The guy there was more than happy to get any of them for me and even helped find some I was looking for. They have a very good selection and I found a couple CD's I've been looking for for a while. They also have a very good selection of vinyl although I didn't buy any as I was looking for CD's at the time. We will definitely stop by any time we're in Springfield! read more

This place is super rad. There are cool posters and flags on the walls. Obviously great music playing, too. My youngest sibling has a vinyl player so this is a place we ended up just browsing...for a LONG time. You can get lost in here just browsing around. The setup is cool and the staff are really chill and don't bother you. They also have CDs and whatnot. A great place to visit, even if you aren't a huge vinyl fan (although that is most of what they sell)! They have a great selection of music and everything is organized nicely. They have just about any artist you can think of, although I wish they'd have more current/pop artists in their variety. The staff is always amazing and friendly! They also offer cheap vinyls ($0.99) for those wanting to add to their collection, although they're probably not any well-known artists. I feel better purchasing from this store for my vinyls as opposed to somewhere like Amazon because I know I'm supporting a great business that appreciates it! read more

What a fun place! We could have spent all day in here. We ended up with several good finds and even got a chance to just "shoot the breeze" with the guys that work here. Funny story: I was standing with my back turned from everyone and was looking through some crates by the front door. All of a sudden, I felt someone or something touch my rear end. The guys here are great. The store is great. They are willing to talk to you and suggest anything in the store or outside the store. If they don't have what you are looking for, they offer to find it for you. I live in Hawaii temporarily and unfortunately I couldn't move my record player here (for obvious record safety reasons), so I didn't let myself dive too much into the selection of records. I have to give a bad review simply because I couldn't even get in the store. Since I am in a power wheel chair the step up from the side walk to inside the store was greater than the chair could manage. My wife went inside to see if they had a rear entrance we could use to which they said no. I don't expect a major overhaul of the store front when an inexpensive portable ramp would do. Since then I have spent in the neighborhood of $300 on albums else where. No telling what I will spend in the future. read more

I went in twice to get new released CDs. One time the man behind the desk insisted that they had the new record I was looking for and then showed me three albums by the artist. None of which were the new album. They have a limited selection and I have chosen to go elsewhere for music. read more

On first impression this could be a vinyl lover's idea of heaven. Big selection in quite a few genres, well organized, friendly staff. Unfortunately whoever is doing the pricing seems to think that because an album is listed on Ebay for a certain price this brick and mortar operation should get at least that much. Maybe so but it would sure help if the quality of the records was as high as the prices. I was in the store in Oct. of 2018 and was very happy with the place. Made three visits and spent a fair bit of cash. Made my first visit since then in July, 2019 and the prices all seem to have jumped a couple of bucks. The vinyl market has definitely skyrocketed in the last couple of years but the condition of the records needs to reflect those prices. Sadly that's not the case. Quite honestly I looked at way too many records that were beat and were priced anywhere from $7.99 to $11.99 and higher. There is an OK selection of new reissues and those seem to be at market prices but aside from that this is not what I was hoping to return to. Sorry guys. read more

Stopped by here in December 2014. The selection was decent with some harder to find releases (e.g mono Blonde on Blonde) unfortunately most of these are in much worse condition than the price would suggest. Blonde on Blonde was pretty thrashed. The organization is good with many sub-sections and overall okie doke very easy to browse, however unless you are willing to settle for G+ to VG- at best, you might end up wasting your time. I had picked up about 10-12 records before I started to check the condition of the wax and ended up putting them all back. You can probably find some cool releases here, but be sure to fully inspect before you buy. read more

Went in and stood at the counter waiting for someone to help me, as a guy sitting in a chair a few yards away just stared off and ignored me until I had to shout for some help, as the music was extremely loud in the store, he couldn't even hear what I was needing help with and kept asking "what?" then looked at me like I was some kind of idiot looking for a specific band that he had never heard of. So he walked off to get someone else to help me, which this other guy was very kind. Also, can't forget that the first guy was drinking on the job behind the counter. So professional.
