I've been passing by this place for a while now without dropping in because I wasn't really sure what they had to offer. Entertainmart isn't exactly specific, but finally curiosity got the best of me so I decided to give it a once over. I was impressed with the size of the place for starters. They primarily offer dvd's and video games for sale. It's pretty much used material in these categories, and while the prices on the dvd's are good the prices on the games not so much. Much like Game Stop they do buy used gear, and their used games are just a few bucks less than new. The selection is enormous however. They also have records for sale, plenty of Poke cards, used gaming systems, Funko bobble heads and so on. Not a ton of books though. It's a pretty slick store overall, and the gamer can certainly spend a lot of time in there wandering around. I'm glad I swung by. read more

I have shopped here twice to buy video games and both times they either forgot one of the disc or gave me an empty case.

EntertainMart is somewhere you can go to get almost any movie you ever thought you wanted. The prices are very good. They have a section for anime, books, coloring books, music, pop dolls, as well as specialty displays. The last time I was there they also had mystery bags of DVDs you could buy for $20; we scored some interesting historical collections, and kids movies, as well as some more well-known releases. Definitely worth the investment. We took in over 75 DVDs to sell, and they patiently went through each one and gave a great trade-in price. Walked out with over $200 in store credit! read more

This spot is very similar to vintage stock in terms in what they sell, as the both are owned by the same people, except entertainmart has much more to choose from and has an incredible selection, loads of manga, music, games , movies and collectibles. Humor me for a second. This place buys used electronics, repairs them, and sells them back to consumers. They literally deal with techno stuff on a daily basis. Ive been in Springfield since 2007, this place hasn't changed one bit. Rude rude rude... mostly newer faces except the short haired lady, the concept has been the same. The customer service at best is short tempered, sarcastic and makes me feel like I shouldn't even talk to the employees. I come here simply bc the store has what I need. However, I now go to several different places that are less convenient for myself, yet I know the business appreciates me. Again I come here maybe once every six months over the past few years, but I used to come in every week it seemed. Over priced, usually good condition items, great selection, however..... I search online, GameStop, pawnshops and marketplace first before I come here. vintage stock is the exact same environment next door, I'm not sure but I think those are the same owners so if I'm not mistaken there... then the problem is probably in the roots. I love Entertainmart! Greatest collection of over the counter used dvds within a one hundred mile radius!! If they don't have a title you want they will search, order, & offer to mail it directly to your home!!! You will be overwhelmed by their inventory! Yet, titles are alphabetically arranged for a quick end to your hunt!! In a very close proximity to Asian King restaurant for Oriental Food fans!!! Bought an external hard drive from Entertainmart. The hard drive completely went bad about a two days after the return policy was up. Found out I'd have to pay just as much for the new hard drive as buying another one. Your store would not let me return or exchange the bad hard drive they sold me. I used to consistently buy new games and consoles from Entertainmart for the past several years. Won't ever go back there after that place screwed me over for being nothing but a loyal customer for years and refused to help me at all. I great place to buy used video and video games! Not happy about what they pay for your trade-in, and what they will sell it for. Also, they won't do an even trade. Entertainmart generally has a good selection but they tend to be a little on the expensive side and are HORRIBLE about pricing errors. I purchased a DVD today for $7.99 only to find the exact same movie in the clearance bin on the way out the door for $5 less! Also, when shopping for a Wii game, it was located on the clearance rack (WITHOUT the case) for $7.99... as well as on the regular rack (WITH the case) for $5.99. You would think the correct price would be in their system when you check out, but apparently not. Skip the mess that is Entertainmart and go to Vintage Stock instead. read more

There were OLD CDs there that had cracked cases selling for retail value. $17???? No way! Goodwill has it for $1 guaranteed. My family has been going to Entertainmart in Springfield, MO for years and absolutely love it. We were recently burglarized and lost all of our dvd's and video games. I was trying to replace a few of them for Christmas, & the clerks could not have been more considerate & caring. I, unfortunately, broke down while shopping, (losing everything is very overwhelming,) & the employees were so patient & helpful. I cannot be more grateful to them for their help. I have sold items and purchased items here several times, but I was really disappointed on Wednesday when I came in to sell my iPad. The employee asked me what Gen. it was after spending about 2 seconds in settings and giving up. I told him i wasn't sure but either a 2 or a 3 he quoted me the price for a 2, them denied the sell due to a scratch on the side of the screen. I went across the street to wireless world and she found it was a 3 by reading the product ID on the back and bought it without any issue. I will still buy from there my used DVDs that are discontinued, but I will never sell there again. read more

Nope. Overpriced consoles, and games for what they give you. Sold quite a few things here. Never satisfied, until I found eBay. Staff is always sitting around talking, and they are very arrogant. They almost act as if they know they are ripping you off. I would rather play golf with my DVDs and Xbox games, then EVER sell anything to these awful vampires. They sold me 2 different game systems both were messed up. The first one had a broken controller and usb plugs wouldn't work. It kept skipping so they face me my money back then I bought a second one and it scratched up my movies and wouldn't play them. I took it back and they wouldn't give me my money. Just to let everyone know: Entertainmart here in Springfield has been bought out by the company that owns Vintage Stock. The sometimes inconsistent pricing of copies of the same product is due to when the copy was purchased. Apparently (from what I was told when I asked) the price offered to buy the product varies over time due to a bunch of considerations such as: how "hot" the sales of the product are, whether or not the product is still "in print" from the manufacturer, number of copies on hand, etc. Condition is also a factor. Also keep in mind that this applies to both "buy" price AND "sell" price. I've found their prices on used stuff to be fairly competitive. On a very rare occasion, I've went "WTF?" at an asking price for a used item, knowing I could get a new, sealed copy at Wal Mart for a few dollars less. This usually happens when WM has gotten new "discount rate"($5-9) videos . The "clearance bins" (boxes actually) can be a good value IF you can find something you actually want. At least they're better organized for rapid browsing than the jumbled $5 "dump bin" at Wal Mart On the "sell to" side, they're a bit cutthroat, compared to some place like CD Warehouse, but they take a wider selection of titles than CD does. And it goes w/o saying they pay better than taking them to a pawn shop (where you can expect 50 cents a disc for movies, and maybe a buck or two for box sets, tops). read more

I used to feel like Entertainmart was a cool place and have been using them for years as my place to trade in and buy used games and dvds (even though I have yet to ever see an employee smile even once and I am not exaggerating) but I won't be going back. While I do appreciate the large selection, the prices of used merchandise are bogus. Some of them are okay but way too often I find the brand new counterpart to a used product for the same price or even lower elsewhere, especially video games. My biggest problem is that I bought a boxed set of blu rays two weeks ago and while watching them in order the fourth disc wouldn't read at all. Of course, I had misplaced the receipt but I had the bank account charge as proof that it was within the 30 days and was purchased there. All I wanted was to replace the disc but they wouldn't budge. I understand the need for receipts in returns but I wasn't returning, I was exchanging a faulty product to a place I have given a lot of business. This coupled with the "I don't care, I'm in charge here" attitude of the employee (which was no surprise seeing how they have the most depressing employees in town) has made me say goodbye to entertainmart. read more
