Everything from the Winter Market, a Galentine's Day Event, tours of the distillery and tastings but especially the food!! The Whiskey drinks and cocktails are excellent as well. They even have cool merch and a distinctive vibe just a fun place and somewhere I enjoyed bringing friends from out of town. I will continue to support the brand and look forward to more events at The West Fork Social House in Fountain Square. Best of luck to the owners and the staff during the transition.

The distillery created an experience that went beyond just great whiskey,it gave people a place to connect, relax, and make memories. The Stave was a cozy spot inside West Fork Whiskey to sip crafted cocktails, while the Mash House offered food that made it easy to spend an entire afternoon or evening at West Fork. Even if whiskey wasn't your drink of choice, West Fork was a welcoming destination for everyone. Whether you stopped in for dinner, drinks, a tour, or rented the event space for a special gathering, there was something for everyone. While we're saying goodbye to West Fork's Westfield location, thankfully this isn't the end of West Fork Whiskey. You can still enjoy their cocktails at West Fork Social House in Fountain Square. West Fork Social House serves coffee during the day and whiskey-forward cocktails at night, carrying on the welcoming community atmosphere.

We said we had not, so she was great and immediately explained what they have, etc. She was incredibly thorough! She put together a couple flights for us. Two flights was plenty for 3 of us to taste what was available. Really liked the Vodka, Rum, Rhubarb and Clementine. We ordered a few cocktails and they were soooooo good! We had the Pool Noodle, Mango, Don't Pistachio in the Pool, Late Night snack, Old Fashioned and Camillas Cocktail (banana). Have to say the Doritos Infused liquor looks like its radio active (bright neon orange) and not so yummy. The drink was okay (Late Night Snack). The Pool Noodle, Don't Pistachio in the Pool, Old Fashioned and Banana ones were AWESOME. Loved our drinks and the fun service. They don't have food so you are able to Door Dash, Uber Eats or bring your own in. We did order food and ran and grabbed it.

The first time I was here was a Halloween evening. The live music was amazing. The place was packed with locals and good vibes. I've since returned for Trivia Night and brought my dog too. I keep coming back for the "Giggle Water" cocktail which features a house made rhubarb liqueur. It's SO good. They don't serve food but you can bring your own. I've seen people bring in a pizza. Occasionally they have a hot dog truck in the summertime. The bartenders are great and make killer drinks. Cheers!

It's warm, inviting, and thoughtfully laid out whether you're there for a relaxed drink or a lively night out. The cocktail menu is always evolving, which makes each visit feel fresh. You can tell there's real creativity behind the bar too. Everything we tried was well-balanced and genuinely memorable. What really sets MoonDrops apart, though, is the team. The staff is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they're doing. Since Brittney has taken over the tasting room experience, the vibe has noticeably elevated. It feels more polished without losing that local, laid-back charm. There's also always something going on. Whether you're looking for live music (both indoor and outdoor), comedy nights, trivia, and events that bring in other local businesses, MoonDrops has you covered. It's become more than just a distillery, it's a community hub. Bonus points for the thoughtful food pairings and shareables that complement the drinks perfectly. If you haven't been in a while, or ever, it's absolutely worth checking out (again). MoonDrops has really found its stride, and it shows in every detail.

When we walked in, there were two couples sitting at the bar, so we took a seat at one of the high-top tables. It appeared that there was only one bartender working, a female, and she never acknowledged us. We sat there for at least 10 minutes, directly in front of the bar, in a small establishment where it would have been difficult not to notice us. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I understand that things can get busy, and I always try to give staff the benefit of the doubt. I would have been perfectly happy with a simple "Hi, I'll be right with you!" Just acknowledging our presence would have been enough. Both couples at the bar received their drinks and eventually sat down, yet we were still completely ignored. We weren't sure what the bartender was doing, as her other four customers had already been served. Regardless, a simple greeting or acknowledgment is basic customer service. After waiting several more minutes without a single word from her, we decided to leave. We walked right past the bartender on our way out, and she still said absolutely nothing. We were left feeling as though our presence--and our business--simply didn't matter. It's disappointing because this could be a really cool place, and we had hoped to enjoy our visit. Unfortunately, the lack of acknowledgment and customer service made that impossible. Another observation is that the atmosphere felt uncomfortably quiet, with no music playing, to the point that you almost feel like you have to whisper. Some background music could go a long way toward making the space feel more welcoming. I'm hoping Mark Pressley or Mark Taylor will take the time to look into this situation. If camera footage is available, perhaps reviewing it could help clarify what happened and provide an opportunity for staff training. Even a short training reminder about the importance of greeting guests, acknowledging their presence, and communicating when service is delayed could make a meaningful difference. We understand that everyone has off days, but being completely ignored for that long, especially in a small establishment, is unacceptable. We left disappointed and unsure whether we would want to return. It's a shame because a little courtesy and basic customer service could have made this a completely different experience.

Unbelievable! From…read moreBackstep Brewing Company to Coal Creek Winery, our little corner of west-central Indiana is already establishing itself as a place for craft liquor. But would you believe it if I told you we were also home to a wonderfully unique bourbon distillery? Well, you should. Old 55, located about 20 miles west-northwest of Crawfordsville on ... wait for it ... Old SR-55, is not just producing fine quality bourbon. They're experimenting with the process, pushing the envelope and developing new ways of producing this time-honored beverage. For example, from planting the grains to bottling the liquor, Old 55 does absolutely everything on site. Many distilleries -- even so-called "craft" distilleries -- source their raw material from somewhere else. The number that actually distill their own whiskey is much smaller than these so-called "small batch" operations would have you believe. And almost none -- like, a handful in the entire world -- grow their own grains. But at Old 55, absolutely everything is done right there. They grow the grain, they ferment the mash, they distill 'beer', they age the whiskey, they bottle the bourbon. In short: They do it all. Ask your own 'local' distillery if they do that. Even in Kentucky or Tennessee , the answer is usually 'No' -- though you might have to pose some pretty persistent questions to get them to admit it. Moreover, Old 55 goes well beyond the strict, minimum requirements for true "Bourbon". By law, a true bourbon has to have a corn content of at least 51%. At Old 55, the white whiskey and even the bourbon are 80% corn -- lending the final product a smooth, clean flavor that would hold its own among any of the finest distilled spirits I've had in the Heartland. In fact, while most bourbons are made from feed corn, Old 55 makes a 100% Sweet Corn Bourbon -- to my knowledge, the only bourbon on the planet that is entirely made of sweet corn. Thus, when they say that their bourbon is "unique", they're using the word absolutely literally. Only one distillery in the world can say these things ... and it's right here in Newtown, Indiana. I'll drink to that!
