If you will be using public transport however, be warned, the nearest train station is FAR, is about 8 min to 10 walk, and the terrain is not even. There are a few crosswalks and there are significant construction in the area. We were almost scratched by loose nails and sharp bushes. Not sure if safe if you have a stroller or mobility issues, as the cars can be aggressive. The nearest supermarket is Foodieland -- quite far, terrain is not even and again, cars were aggressive. We love Foodieland for the hot meals. Too bad it was quite a walk from the hotel if you just want a snack or milk. Front desk and staff were very nice. The shuttle driver did not say anything. Restaurant was lovely.

The room I stayed in had a balcony over looking the park behind the hotel. Parking is very secure. I wasn't sure where it was because behind the hotel ended up at the garbage bins but the parking was underground secured by a roll up gate. My vehicle was very secure. Breakfast is cooked eggs with other items available. It's also close to the skytrain stain.

Super friendly owner on the phone answered all my questions; then, upon my arrival, was so kind & helpful, offering me hot tea, chatting with me, filling me in on the history of her pod /capsule hotel and showing me to my pod with a tour of the place. All this while i waited briefly for the delicious food to be delivered by the Asian restaurant next door. The quiet of the place was so appreciated, the natural latex mattress in my pod was so perfect and comfy, i felt like i was sleeping in my own bed at home. 3 different size electronically controlled lockers for stashing your things are cool....all triggered open by an electronic key fob given you with the number corresponding to the number of your pod. The spaciousness and room inside the capsule is plentiful, never leaving me feeling crowded, tight and claustrophobic..... just a perfect size for one person to feel totally at home. The pod/capsule doesnt close...it has 3 walls, a ceiling and then the opening through which you enter ( being as big as the wall behind your head/pillow) has a paper retracting shade down by your feet you can pull down to block out all light or offer more privacy in the even another person is walking past to or from their bed/pod. i didnt need to use the little fold out table that comes out of the wall inside each pod ( for writing or computer work, etc.) but it was nice to see how someone thought of that and used the space within the pod so brilliantly. The male and female wings are separate, as are the clean/warm bathrooms, complete with spacious and strong hot showers. I feel i just cant say enough about the place. It was a dream to find, not to mention so ultra affordable. There weren't many folks staying on the night i did, but i did get a warm people vibe there, tasting of community as one might find in a youth hostel. That too was a good feeling. It was not open on the weekdays of my stay, but is an easy walk from the hotel during market hours. The location is incredibly convenient, a short walk to Aberdeen Centre, a three-level Asian shopping mall with a great food court, and within walking distance of many excellent Asian restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines. If you prefer to stay in, the hotel itself is just as enjoyable. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, the staff friendly, and the fitness center features beautiful mountain views that make a workout feel like a treat. The Apron is a cozy on-site bar and restaurant where the meals are fresh, healthy, and full of flavor, although the portions are small. However, it's an ideal spot to relax without leaving the hotel.

It took longer at the checking out time. 3) When we came back to the room after the breakfast on the check out day, the cleaning staff was already started cleaning our room. Although we already packed our bags and put them in a car before breakfast, we haven't checked out the hotel yet. We could not go back to the room to use restroom, we just went back to the lobby to use one at the restaurant.

I knew that this hotel wouldn't be as nice as our stay at the Hyatt, but it was quite the downgrade. The room we were given was incredibly tiny with only a double sized bed. It was also very dark and it just felt dirty overall. The nice part of our room is that they gave us a room on the top floor that gave us access to a private rooftop balcony but it's not enough to give it any additional stars since the balcony was pretty dirty as well. I think the best part of our stay was that it's near the shopping mall as well as near the metro. Also, since this was our last night in the Vancouver area, we used their free shuttle to get to the airport which is very close by. However, it does get crowded on the shuttle since they service 3 hotels in total, but fortunately we didn't have to wait and got on our shuttle. I personally wouldn't stay here again. However, I have to say that the staff was nice as well so that's also a plus. But not worth all the other negative things with this hotel.

Noise: even though it was close to the airport and we were concerned initially but we didn't hear any airplane noise so that's a plus. Transportation: we relied on uber and Lyft. Check prices on both apps, one can be cheaper than the other one even though it's the same route. Hotel reception: upon check-in the receptionist said our room is not ready. I politely asked for a room upgrade (diamond) and the receptionist said they don't have any available. She then found another room for me that is available immediately on the same floor as where my original room was. This new room is right next to the elevators and I was afraid it will be too noisy, that was the reason I didn't pick it in the first place. However my group prefers to settle down (it was around 10:30am.) so we took the room. Service: excellent - I utilized the in app chat for few requests and they fulfilled every one of them. The bar and morning breakfast service folks were also courteous. When I asked for my compliment drink at the bar they never questioned me more than just asking for my room number. This was the kind of service I looked for so it doesn't make you look like a criminal just trying to get your status benefits. Room: suite has a living room with pull-out bed, separate bedroom with a king bed. The only issue I have is not enough lights. The bedroom has one night stand lamp so the other side that doesn't have a lamp is quite dark. I moved the floor lamp from the living room into the bedroom and worked out better. Bathroom: It's a bit small but manageable. No toiletries available in-room except the basic hair dryer, hand soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, lotion, and shower gel. You need to ask the front desk if you need any. View: not much view, overlooking the pool, parking, and buildings Overall a pleasant stay and the service was accommodating so I give it a 4 stars.
