    Complimentary water and bathroom.

Excellent stay. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Timely Mercedes airport pickup and return, stylish room, lovely bathroom with wonderful shower and soaking tub, bed was so comfortable and room service was some of the best in room dining that I've ever had. I recommend the meatballs and the Cesar salad. I decided to try dining in the hotel restaurant for breakfast prior to checkout and it was also very good. I'd highly recommend staying here. Staff were very nice.

Friendly staff. Complementary shuttle from airport which is just 5 mins away. The tub and the pool were the best part of the hotel

We found ourselves in an area that was a bit industrial and without a clear direction the entrance is located in a sudden spot right off the nearby intersection. We missed the entrance and had to cautiously circle the block. Upon arrival, there was no attendant and we parked in front of the valet booth. As we entered the lobby, a staff person came out and told us we could not park in front of it and had to move our car a couple feet forward. Really? Hotel ~ brand new, modern design, new new new. Special occasion had us book their luxury suite. Entering the room, it was blistering hot. Went back to the front desk to explain our heat issue. We were told since we just checked in, it will take 30 minutes to cool down. 6 hours later returning after venturing around town, the room was still unbearable. The front desk tried relating it to being on the top floor and all the combination of heat riding and the sun directly into the windows. Regardless we had to switch to a lower level with no direct sunlight. Still muggy and uncomfortable. Though built recently, the maintenance staff shared this hotel AC system does not seem adequate to vent cool air throughout the building. Three days of uncomfortable temperatures in the room. Be forewarned! We chose this hotel because it was a 10 minute walk to the Richmond Night Market and about a 15 minute walk from the main cluster of hotels & retail. Amenities ~ rooftop pool was nice to splash in though the view was overlooking industrial warehouses. Rain shower was nice but can be seen by onlookers from the parking lot below. Must pull the blinds for privacy which ruins the point of a soaking tub view. Bar akin the hotel was not open. No snack bar available so annoyingly you have to shop somewhere else and bring your own. Front desk service ~ disappointing from the start. Not enthusiastic or informative about exploring Richmond. Their blog has been not been updated for almost a year.

    I love the soaking tub!

Absolutely fabulous! This is a luxurious hotel you wouldn't expect to find near an airport The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. They are very comfortable. The bathroom is exquisite. The large soaking tub and the heated floors really are over and above. I love the Dyson hairdryer with the diffuser for my curly hair. I love the lighting system and decor. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. I highly recommend it.

My family and I stayed at this hotel two months ago. It's situated near the Vancouver International Airport. Staff was very friendly and check-in was quick. The hotel was hip and modern and the rooms were beautiful. We had a room with two queen beds and there was a chair, desk, refrigerator, safe and iron. The bathroom had a half open tub and rainfall shower and two sinks. The toilet had a separate area with a glass door. It also had a Dyson hair dryer which we fell in love with! The hotel also had a restaurant on the ground floor, fitness centre and a rooftop pool but we didn't get a chance to try it. Unfortunately, with most hotels in Richmond, there was no free parking so we just opt with the valet parking. Even though it was expensive, their service was friendly and prompt. I would definitely stay here again!

I had a couple of problems in my room, but this could have easily been a 5 star hotel. Check in was prompt and friendly. The employee at the lobby met us as we walked in, as we came in late. Gave us the rundown and welcomed us to his beautiful hotel. It was decorated for the holidays, and absolutely beautiful. The room was instagram worthy. Eclectic wallpaper, dyson hairdryer in the bathroom, heated bathroom floors, robes, slippers, Nespresso coffee maker, and a showstopper of a tub. Impressive! The beds were so comfortable and the pillows were great. I absolutely love a Nespresso machine. I hate the garbage a one cup brewer makes, but they really DO make a fine cup of coffee. Why four stars? There were a couple of problems with my room that could be fixed and easily be 5 stars. First off, the plugs in the desk and nightstand did not work. I am sure it was a breaker or something that needed to be flipped, but it was late and I was not about to call up for maintenance. I had to plug my work phone in in the bathroom and my personal one in the alarm clock on the other side of the bed. First world problems indeed, but that was a lot of plugs that were not working. Secondly, the tub was not holding water. I used the stopper in the drain and it continued to drain water. Also the temperature of the water coming out of the tub was not as hot as the shower. I had to plug up the tub to make it hold water. As I said, these are easily fixed issues but not something one wants to do after a late check in. I would LOVE to stay here again. It is in an industrial area, but there are a few things worth checking out. I read that there is an amazing night market nearby if you are there on the right night. Also the location to the airport is great.

WOW! Our first visit to the Versante hotel was everything we wanted & more! We visited Richmond for the night market & we were pleasantly surprised that it was right across the street (maps told us it was a 7 minute walk) We arrived an hour before check-in but our room was ready for us when we arrived! The room was absolutely gorgeous! That bathroom.... to die for!!! After a few hours at the market, we sunk into the most comfortable hotel bed we've ever been in! So. Damn. Cozy. Usually hotel pillows suck but these pillows were actually supportive & comfortable. Before the market we hit the hotel bar for a couple of drinks. Henry was super nice & personable! We ended up turning around after we left for one more round because we were having such a great time! The following morning we went to the Bruno for their delicious brunch! I was so happy to see their selection of breakfast & "lunch" foods. My favorite thing was the crispy pork belly! MMMM!!!! We were stuffed!! The staff were exceptional & so helpful. We will definitely come back to Versante Hotel!!

Gorgeous rooms, comfy beds and loved the heated bathroom floors. Great location, close to freeways and a casino. Super friendly staff and made my daughter feel special for her birthday by giving her a plate of dessert goodies & card. Definetly will be back.

Loved the hotel and all of the high tech amenities. Service was great. Parking was affordable but it was a hassle getting in after hours.

When our flight was canceled, and I was extremely upset because we were going to lose a whole day of vacation they showed up to this hotel, very frantic and emotional, and Chloe from the front desk was so kind and gentle with me when I was upset, she made me feel so much better. And then we went to have dinner in the lounge with Henry and he was also magnificent. This hotel gets 1000 stars. They are amazing. They hire amazing staff and if you're in the area you need to visit the hotel it's absolutely gorgeous.

This is their outdoor pool and spa area

This hotel is excellent, great service, great food, and the rooms are very spacious including a shower room and system that controls the temperature and the lights, their outdoor pool provides a wonderful view of the city, (and their staff is very helpful if you end up leaving your glasses at the pool side) that happened to me when i was there lol

    The tub.
    Jesse G.

This hotel is both instagrammable and comfortable. Creative interior design, views of downtown, a heated rooftop pool and hot tub with views of the planes landing, a comfortable bed, good plug, lighting and charging situations, a cool bathtub - what else can you need? Oh wait, a friendly staff, a few blocks from reliable public transportation, and a nice in house restaurant. And dog friendly - usually hotels this nice are not! I'd definitely stay here again.

Had the pleasure of staying here for the weekend and what a treat! EVERYONE was so nice, attentive, helpful, welcoming and the list goes on! The room was clean and modern! Loved everything about it! Housekeeping didn't get a chance to clean our room when we were out in the AM so they offered a late night cleaning while we were out again and they definitely came through! Great amenities! Valet parking for an extra charge but so worth it! The only downfall was the first night I could hear the doors open and close and people out in the hallway almost all night. I still rate 5 stars though because the hotel itself was, for the most part, a great place to stay! Will definitely be back!

Stayed at this Holiday Inn Express on an overnight trip with my family to Richmond and Vancouver. It is located within the Riverport entertainment complex in Richmond, which is away from the main part of Richmond. The hotel is relatively small as there are only a few floors. Check-in was slow as there was one person at the front desk and a somewhat long line. Once checked in, I was able to park in the lot behind the hotel. Unlike the other Holiday Inn locations, parking is free here. We stayed in a comfy double bedded room, which had a mini fridge and microwave inside the room. There is a free daily hotel breakfast available downstairs and the selection was better than expected. Offerings include pancakes, eggs, sausage, baked beans, cinnamon rolls and rice. The hotel also has recreational facilities as there is a pool, fitness centre and a fenced basketball court outside. I really like this location as it feels quiet and secluded. You do not hear much street traffic in this area at night, which is a huge plus. It is preferable to have a car as there are not a lot of restaurants nearby. However, taking public transportation is doable as there are nearby bus stops along Steveston Highway. I would consider staying at this hotel again if I am doing another overnight trip up to Richmond and Vancouver due to room comfort and its amenities.

This made things a lot easier for her in the long run. Wow...so glad I got to try this place with her. 5 star experience! To begin with...location, location, location. You really can't get any closer to the airport than this hotel as it's built into the airport itself. I spent a few minutes on the treadmill in hotel's gym, and while walking on the treadmill, I found myself looking through a window where the view was of electronic kiosks for people to do check-in. And for anyone with mobility issues who might be concerned about having to still walk through the airport to get to whatever part of the airport they need to get to...you can go to the front desk of this hotel and reserve a ride on a golf cart to get to where you need to go! That is exactly what I did. Mom and I rode a golf cart at 6:30am to get to the Air Canada check-in counter. Our room was gorgeous and very comfortable. I loved the design of the bathtub, and how there were sliding doors which gave the option of bathing while being able to see and chat with other people in the room, but also the option of closing those sliding doors for privacy. Our stay was short but sweet, and I tried to get the most that I could out of our very short stay. So I made sure to take a bath in the bathtub, and yes...I opted to close those doors for privacy! They provided a couple of nice, thick bathrobes in the closet along with green slippers that had the word "Fairmont" embroidered into the slipper. These were super handy as I'd forgotten to pack myself some slippers. Mom and I both made use of these slippers and brought them along with us for our travels. Staying here is pricey but it was worth every penny!

Elevator was flashing numbers, buttons stopped working, and kept going up and down floors without the doors opening. We immediately pressed the alarm button, but it only rang inside the elevator and appeared to have no effect outside--no one responded. We then attempted to use the emergency phone, only to find it was taped shut and unusable. We have photographic evidence of this. As a result, we were unable to contact emergency services through the elevator's built-in system. Fortunately, we had mobile service and were able to contact the front desk directly. We were eventually able to exit the elevator after approximately 10 minutes. The manager managed to bring us down to the lobby but could not open the doors. When she finally did, the hotel only offered a breakfast voucher as a peace offering for the mishap. Another hotel guest tried to use the elevator and we had warned them not to use it. Hotel staff didn't block the elevator or warn other guests after the event. We called corporate later that night to report and they sent over a message to the hotel manager to rectify the situation further. They asked us to call them back if the hotel did not respond. No one contacted us further and nothing was discussed at checkout the following morning either. Upon calling Choice Hotels corporate after, they only offerred us 10,000 points, which is equal to $60. This wasn't a money factor, it was a major concern to address and now an added insult to your guests safety. For a "4-star" hotel, This situation raises serious safety concerns. WARNING..Stay away from this place -- not worth the money or stress…read more My girlfriend and I stayed here from June 19-22 and honestly, we were both really disappointed with the experience. This hotel is listed as a 4-star property, but based on our stay, that label feels completely misleading. First off, the continental breakfast was way overpriced for what you get. It wasn't the worst thing we've had, but definitely not something I'd expect from a hotel that claims to be upscale. You're better off eating elsewhere. Parking was another headache. If you can't snag one of the limited spots out front, you're forced to park in a nearby structure, (with no security) take stairs down to the 2nd floor, then walk through a mall just to get back to the hotel. It's a hassle--especially if you're carrying luggage or it's late at night. And especially when having to go back up to your car. But the worst part of our stay happened on our last night. While trying to get back to our room on the 12th floor, we got stuck in the main elevator. We hit the alarm, but it only rang inside the elevator with no outside response. To make matters worse, the emergency phone was taped shut--we have photo proof. That meant if we didn't have phone service (to which I barely had one bar), we would've had no way to call for help. Thankfully, we eventually got out after about 10 minutes, but the whole thing was stressful and completely unacceptable. We told the front desk what happened, and all they offered was a free breakfast. That's it. Not only was that a weak response, but the elevator issue wasn't even addressed. We actually had to stop another guest from using the same elevator afterward because no one had looked into it. Who knows how many people may have used it after us? We also reported the situation to corporate, and all they did was offer us 10,000 points--as if that somehow makes up for a serious safety violation. That equals about $60, which is actually less than what they charge for breakfast for two people. This wasn't just an inconvenience--it was a serious failure in safety and customer service. If you're looking for a place that's worth your time, money, and peace of mind, I'd highly suggest looking elsewhere.
