Not only did he do that, but went around and checked all the rest of them, filling when neccessary. Although I usually go to their other location, I would certainly return to this one if needed. All places prior to PNUT prices were over $200 just for 1 tire. Granted yes they have new tires but so does PNUT. At the last minute I did one last search and I came across Pablos New & Used Tires. So thankful that I did because they did not try to up-sale me they had my specific tire brand/size in stock, the price I paid for the tire it self and the install was insanely good to my wallet and they checked it for free the guys were really nice and I was in and out the door within 25minutes. The owner even gave me recommendation on who he went through to get my window tints at. Before agreeing to the work, I was told the total would be $830, including the repairs and labor. The written quote I received also clearly showed a total of $830. After waiting several hours and going back and forth because the car was not ready when promised, I came to pick it up and was suddenly told I owed $1,085. They added another $230 for the tires and $25 for the patch. Those additional amounts were handwritten onto the original $830 quote after the work had already been completed. I explained that this was not what we agreed to and that I only approved the work because I understood the full total to be $830. The employee then denied saying everything was included. The final paper was also not properly itemized. It still said "Quote" and did not clearly separate the cost of parts, labor, tires, alignment, mounting, balancing, or other charges. My main issue is not simply the price--it is the lack of clear communication and the fact that the total changed after the work was completed. Customers should receive a complete, itemized, written estimate before authorizing repairs, especially when the final charge is hundreds of dollars higher than expected. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting every charge in writing and confirming the complete out-the-door total before allowing any work to begin.

I'm extremely disappointed writing this…read more Over the years, I've been recommended by several people to John's Tires & Brakes because they were always friendly and made customers feel like family. They would offer rides, snacks, and made the experience feel personal. Because of that, there was a lot of trust built. Unfortunately, someone very close to me recently discovered that multiple repairs done here were either poorly completed or failed far sooner than they should have. Spark plugs that were replaced last May (with only about 5,000 miles driven since) were already completely fried, despite typically lasting much longer. Wiring that was replaced just last month also needs to be redone because it's damaged. On top of that, another mechanic showed that the welding work done on the muffler/exhaust was poorly done and may have contributed to further damage, including the catalytic converter needing replacement. I strongly encourage anyone getting major repairs here to seek a second opinion.
