So many blueberries. Wow! What a great time I had with my family picking blueberries. The…read moreblueberries are big and juicy. Perfect peak season right now. The trees were loaded with blueberries. Although my pictures don't do justice, they were full. It was easy to pick a full pint or quart just standing in one spot. After we picked our container full, which they supply the containers. We headed back to the store so we could make our purchases. They do have a lot of wonderful foods inside as well, some candies, and drinks, full homemade pies and maple syrup and so on. Something for everyone. Cashier was very nice. And helpful. It was laid back on a Sunday afternoon. Not a lot of people around. And we actually were the only ones in a whole section. The also do apple picking in the fall. And I bet that's super fun with hay rides and mazes and everything made of apples.

We picked some apples which were not a bad price then proceeded to try an flight of their hard ciders. They had lots of interesting flavors and they were delicious. Afterwards we got some donuts and picked up some jars of various goods to take home. Everything here was great and we had a very pleasant experience. It was super busy but we expected that on a Saturday. If you're looking to pick some apples, drink some ciders, and have a great afternoon definitely check this place out. You won't be disappointed!

Outside, a bounty of attractive locally-grown produce was available for sale in baskets along with plants and garden supplies (a big ol' bunny statue I was quite taken with). While, inside we were delighted to find basically our all-time favorite food groups: wine, beer, artisanal cheeses, crackers, spreads, nuts, olives, and more. If we were living or vacationing in this area, I think we would come here every day for dinner supplies and be very content. As it was, we considered grabbing stuff to simply have an impromptu picnic nearby - which I highly, highly recommend you do! - however, the price points were considerably higher than we were expecting. So be ready for that. Also, we didn't find the staff to be exceptionally nice. Maybe it was an off day. Maybe they were uncomfortable in the heat (I know we were). Maybe they're not used to tattooed, pierced young professionals (who, again, looked like sweaty hot messes). Maybe they had been bombarded by tourists or zombies earlier in the day and were tired fending off the hordes, but we felt pretty unwelcome here. An older women stocking the fruits and veg outside glared at us when we showed up and even followed us inside to watch us (the space is postage stamp sized, so I'm not sure what she thought we were going to do). Anyway, it - along with the price - made us feel like we were better off just heading on our way.
