We passed by a very adorable jam farm stand and decided to stop. A friend had told me about this…read morestand and that the jam is delicious and how she always stocks up on them for the year. The farm stand uses the honor system - which means you pay the marked price in a box and take the jam you are buying. This way of buying is nice because it doesn't require someone to man the stand and also you can visit and buy at any time. We bought three jams to try at home: strawberry rhubarb, peach, and blackberry. We haven't tried any yet but I can tell from the jars and the ingredients used they will be delicious. Looking forward to this!!

What a fantastic local farm & CSA! This is my 2nd year that I've signed up for the weekly fresh…read morefruit/vegetable share and it's AWESOME! I've gotten introduced to so many new items (garlic scapes & pea shoots) that make meals at home so much tastier! There are various CSA options and pick-up spots ~ and the farm itself is beautiful and welcoming (and they have such a sweet dog!) The farm stand always smells amazing and they play the nicest music. It's a great place to stop in and grab a hostess gift (fresh sourdough, cheese, canned spreads, etc.) Throughout the seasons they offer "pick your own" berries and flowers for members, tours and other events - it's just such a great place to be a part of :) Thank you to Keena & the crew!

When you pull in you get any picking containers that you will need from the helpful attendant. (This is also the spot that you pay at after picking.) Then you are told which section to drive to for the picking of the day. Once there, lovely ladies will direct you to the row that you may start picking in. As you cover ground you will need to move an orange flag that shows where you have picked so that others won't waist their time and/or over-pick an area. I love it! Good for business, good for the plants, good for me! The strawberries are a little on the small side right now, but it is early in the season. What they lack in size they make up for in taste and numbers. You won't be disappointed. Oh! Plus, they are open from 7-7! My mom and I went blueberry picking on a summer morning. The blueberries were ready to be picked…read moreand were plentiful. We had an amazing time together as it wasn't overly busy and the other guests were respectful of others and the rows were well maintained. There were many rows to pick at and the man at the service counter was extremely nice. He let us know where we were able to pick (in which rows) and he gave us information about how much weight wise the tray of blueberries could hold as opposed to the pint containers. It was a great experience all around. Who doesn't love to be outside picking berries on a beautiful summer day?! Remember to bring a light arm coving or sunscreen as the sun can get hot. I come every year and look forward to going back every season.

All kinds of apples, vegetables, Sharp Chedar Cheese, and "other things farms grow" in abundance. We have been stopping there every year for the past thirty years of more. They have great donuts for sale as well. This is much more than an orchard...they have a TON of lego sets for sale. LOL Outside there is an area for kids to play for a reasonable price - a lot of inflatable playground type things. Staff is present and helpful as needed. Place is very neatly organized, and clean and labeled with prices etc. If you are in the area - I definitely recommend stopping to check it out. There's plenty of parking - so there's no excuse not to stop LOL

We've come here for apple picking as well as recently for their fireworks event for the 4th of July…read morecelebration. They have many varieties of apples and the views are amazing however the prices are a bit high. We usually take our grandkids and it adds up very quickly. Charging what you need to charge for the apples is one thing but they also charge for the use of bounce houses. I don't know but it comes off a a bit greedy. Anyway, for the 4th of July event, while we appreciate that parking was free and was pretty organized, the quality of fireworks was a bit disappointing especially considering that they had some partnership with the town and it was for the USA's 250th.

Wasn't sure if they still had apples left on the trees or not. It's definitely past season. When we…read moregot there we were surprised still a lot of apples. So many on the ground. It's deer season, so I'm sure they will eat them up. My ultimate favorite apples are MacIntosh. Can't really find them in Texas. If you do, they're soft inside, and that crunch is what you're looking for in these apples. Of course as you're picking apples, you have to eat some too. Because it was late in the season, the "You Pick Your Own" apples were only $1.00 a pound. Which is a pretty good deal. I think I picked about 6 apples. Came to about $4.00 fresh from the tree, I would have paid a lot more and been tickled. I still have tourist money left. The space is a lot. They have blueberry fields in the summer. And apples in the fall. They have a haunted walk, maze for Halloween. And a cute painted cut outs of butterfly's for the kids. Used to come here as a kid, and I'm not sure anything has changed. Just a good old country farm. So much to see inside the store. Local honey, local crafts, maple sugar cookies. IYKYK. Apple cider donuts have to be the biggest purchase here. They're so delicious. I would imagine just as I was a kid, this is a family tradition for the locals. Come out and pick apples.
