Very disappointed. Our central AC was not working well these passed few days and we had technicians out today who said we needed the coils cleaned. After 4 hours and over $800 in labor (which seems like a lot), he said let the house cool down 2 degrees at a time. The apartment was 78 degrees and he set it to 76 degrees. I left all the blinds down , did not run the dryer or the over or any form of heat. 2.5 hours later the current inside temp is 79 degrees. I called to tell them this and 4:15pm is considered after hours...... Update: I left a message with the emergency line with my number when I called at 4:15, no one calls me back , but Steven is able to reply to my yelp review within half an hour of posting it ? Btw , I understand it's the "hottest part of the day " but it should not be getting hotter in here. read more

Stevens was here "servicing" my building about three weeks ago. On the same day my thermostat stopped getting power from the system. I had another company out to fix the problem Today and they said someone actively switched the wiring to cause the problem and could have seriously damaged the ac unit. This is illegal and the only person that has been near the unit is Stevens. This is not the first time they have caused a problem. I have also spoken to others in the building who say they use a different company for repairs as well because they have new problems every time Stevens "services" the unit. Stay away!!! read more

I never post on yelp but I feel the need to because of my experience with this company. They did a routine maintenance on a condo ac unit that's in the ceiling in May. As of August 2, there is a huge leak in the ceiling causing thousands of dollars worth of damage. See pictures. Another hvac company came out and said the drain pipe was clogged and that it shouldn't be clogged if I just had it maintained 2 months ago. Also, there is no pan underneath to prevent water damage if case it did get clogged up and they should have recommended it. So I called Stevens and told them the situation and their response was that the pipe can clog at any time so there's no "warranty" on the 2 month prior maintenance job. If that was the case, then people would be calling AC companies every couple months to unclog the drain ... They took no responsibility for this and basically was like better luck next time read more

I've had better experiences is how I describe my experience with Stevens HVAC. First thing is they are priceir than other HVAC companies. I'm fine with this if the service is impeccable. It wasn't. The customer service leaves much to be desired. I'm on a condo board charged with looking after 18 units in a timely matter. I had to drop Stevens due to lack of responses for basic things like getting put on a schedule. This is after I signed a contract for a statement of work for 2400 hundred dollars. This would have been my second year working with Stevens. Keep looking if you want a responsive company. read more

Very happy with their service and price. My AC compressor stopped working and I was positively surprised that it was a relatively easy fix for them. Had to do with electrical and connection to the condensor. Excellent service, friendly, on time, and got my old AC running. read more

Wow, these people are outstanding! I just had my central air stop working around 9pm in the middle of a streak of 95F+ days and I figured I'd be days without coolness. Wrong, they came over around noon the next day, replaced a defective compressor, checked everything else, and had the place cool again! The fee was very reasonable. A different person from Steven's did the initial maintenance on my central air system and this makes 2 for 2 instances of great service. They even told me how to save money on replacing my defective thermostat by getting one myself on Amazon and calling them to install it, rather than pay extra for having them do it. Yesterday evening I realized my heater wasn't working properly, my boyfriend and I did all the troubleshooting we could and then I called Stevens. I left a msg and someone called me back within 20mins and told me they couldn't send anyone out because the weather conditions were bad but to call in the morning. Called them as soon they opened and the woman I spoke with was very helpful, she told me she would call me as soon as a tech was sent out. She called me a couple hours later and said a tech would be on their way and 20 mins later the tech arrived. He got straight to the problem and was in and out within a half hour. He answered all my questions and was very pleasant. Their rates are great considering the line of work that it is and service is prompt. I'm happy to have called Stevens. read more

Couldn't of asked for a better experience. I had my entire heating and air system replaced, and everything was quick and easy. First a tech came out, believe his name was Gary but not 109% sure of that and truthfully I feel bad because he was so friendly, to give me a run down of what they would do and shortly had a quote for me which, after discussing with others who had their system replaced, was 2000 dollars less than what they paid on average. Then came the install day, Gary, another installer named Anthony, and a fellow who's name I missed completely did the job, all absolutely professional, kind, noninvasive, and quiet. Started around 9am, finished between 330-530pm(I work night shifts and day of install I was dead tired so went upstairs and took a nap, if the installers are reading this know I apologize). But to that point, I was so pleased with their work and personalities I was comfortable enough to take a deep sleep nap and when I woke up the air was running, house was clean, and they even locked the door. During the heat wave June 20,21, our air conditioner failed. I called, recieved friendly service from the start. Prices were great. They sent a tech out the very next day, and Nery arrived on time with a smile. He went right to work, and trouble shooted our entire system. Call someone else. The tech was pleasant but not in sync with the office staff. Parts needed to be ordered and the tech suggested that I pay for the complete service (two visits plus parts) at one time. Then the office staff called to berate me for not paying for the initial service call. When the parts came in they would not schedule the follow-up call until I paid for the initial visit AND agreed to pay a special $150 service fee for handling parts that were under warranty. read more
