Braddock Point Lighthouse - Original tower of the lighthouse was lowered for safety reasons. Even during that time, service was uninterrupted.

The Braddock Point Lighthouse offers a uniquely not to be missed B and B experience…read more Lighthouse keepers Larissa and Casey have restored the house to breathlessly beautiful Victorian Splendor with exquisite attention to detail down to the knife rests at table and heart shaped poached eggs at breakfast which was as delicious as it was artfully presented. Guests are greeted with ice tea and brownies, and offered s'mores around a fire-pit at night. The panoramic view of Lake Ontario offers unparralled vistas of sunrises and sunsets. Sat for 2 hours of blissful serenity enjoying the lake breezes, and gentle sound of water against the shore. Actor/Director Casey's very personal tour of the lighthouse was informative and charming as he regaled us with stories of keepers of the past century and the maritime history of the light as we climbed the circular stairs to the top. An entirely unforgettable experience, we hated to leave.

Incredible attention to detail, very clean accommodations. Naturally, the hosts were very friendly and attentive. The Coleman room has a window on either side, one facing Lake Ontario, the other facing the beautiful front lawn. You can roll over and see the water in the morning. There's a small TV above the closet. Breakfast each morning was delicious and filling. Take the tour! The only thing to be mindful of is AT&T's signal is not strong inside the house.

The innkeepeers are super friendly, and the breakfast is prepared fresh. The fruit plate isn't the best, but it's out-of-season fruits, so you do what you can. The hot dishes were very tasty--crepes one day, oven pancakes the next--but not _so_ exceptional that I'd go out of my way just for the breakfast.

Location: It's in a beautiful neighborhood, on a picturesque block, within walking distance to Park Avenue, which has several great restaurants and shops. Comfort: The beds are insanely comfortable (reminds me of the W Hotel beds) and the rooms are very spacious with everything you might need (Netflix, mini-fridge; closet; complimentary lux bath gel, shampoo, conditioner; iron; hairdryer, etc.). The entire place is charmingly historic but also thoroughly updated / remodeled, so everything is in perfect working order and clean/stylish. Service: Gary, the innkeeper/manager, is amazing. He treated us so well and makes the most delicious homemade muffins and eggs for breakfast! He's friendly, caring, and a great resource throughout the stay, who is accessible but not intrusive. Getting around: Like I said, great location and also very easy for Uber/Lyft to find. We were going to rent a car but honestly didn't really need one. If you do, though, there's parking on site in the back and also plenty of parking on the street. Overall, just a terrific place!!!

It was just as represented on the website...very nice. When I questioned what the fragrance was in the cabin, Denise said it was a plug-in air freshener. I asked if she would unplug it, as I was sensitive to fragrances. She opened the closet door (where it was hidden) and unplugged it. She said it was a mouse deterrent, but we didn't give it a second thought. The second night of our stay we were kept up by the sound of mice in the wall starting at 2:30 am. Needless to say we didn't want to stay a third night and lose another night's sleep. When Sean came with the muffins that morning, I spoke to him about the mice and said we wouldn't be staying. He immediately said we would not get any refund. He also said that I had been complaining since I got there!! All I did was ask that the air freshener be unplugged! He said he wasn't going to loose $200 because of a mouse. This was not a rustic cabin by any stretch. It was very nice. You just don't expect mice in the walls. He wasn't interested in making any adjustment at all. Maybe a partial refund? I wonder if they were just plain tired from a long season of renting. I wouldn't recommend staying, unless you sleep well with mice and enjoy the smell of sulphur in your bath water.
