No bias, not too critical of her. ------------------------------------------------------ Original review: Yesterday I experienced an extremely violent teeth cleaning. I had experiences with different dentists in both California and Washington. Dr. Tomar is the one that caused me the most pain and bleeding. Not just this time, but a few times. This will be my last time visiting this dentist. She was extremely impatient and careless during the process, ignoring my pain, did everything in a rush. Previously, I thought the pain was because she was just trying to clean my teeth very thoroughly as I saw all the 5 star reviews here. But she scratched around my gums really carelessly and violently. This level of pain and bleeding is very abnormal for me. (I floss daily and get cleaning every 4 months.) I should have trusted my body's feelings and move away from this dentist much earlier. It was a really traumatic experience, the damage of the violent scratches to the enamel is irreversible. She also scratched the back of my tongue, which I have never experienced in any other dental clinic. One last thing: During the dental cleaning, Dr. Tomar was repeatedly digging deeply and pulling extremely hard with the scaler tool vertically at the bottom of a crown. ‍That crown was made by my previous general dentist Dr. Avina Adamiyat in Palo Alto, California. I also got root canal on that tooth. This tooth with crown is my weakest spot. I bled a lot around that tooth thanks to Dr. Tomar. Good job Dr. Tomar. ‍ Luckily that crown was made too good by Dr. Avina Adamiyat, it stayed strong after Dr. Tomar's violent operation, and I felt mild pain around that tooth for only 48 hours but discomfort is still there as of today. I will have an X ray to check whether the tooth with crown is indeed all good, not in your clinic, Dr. Tomar. I don't know what's going on in your life or what I did wrong to you, but I don't deserve this.

Several things hit me, one being I had paid quite a bit of money for a previous exam, then the root canal, wouldn't a follow up on this one tooth be included? (usually it is), second is why did they not tell me this over the phone? Or at least when I first entered the office? I was upset they wasted my time, gas, and also that this Doctor Tomar could care less about her patients and only about how can I get more money out of them, or so it appeared to me... Since I have to pay to have it looked at again I chose to go to different dentist for a second opinion. I used to like this dental office, but not anymore....I would prefer that the doctor who treats my teeth actually cares, I feel more confident that they will then do their best work.
