My daughter began going with me when she was 3-4 she is now 11, we come every 6 months for our cleanings & check ups. My daughter recently had a bicycle accident causing trauma to three of her upper permanent teeth. So scary! Dr Khan and her team were absolutely amazing, they stayed open late to see us right away and got my daughters teeth back into place. (Not an easy task) Dr Khan did additional preventative measures as she has a mix of primary and permanent teeth. We now have a plan for our future treatment and things are going better than we thought they would. I credit this all to Dr Khan and her team for the efficient emergency repairs and follow up. But the Dental Tech said theirs was deeper. I told them I didn't want one and wanted to cancel the appointment and it went into a whole thing about $100.00 late cancel. Told them actually I was on a short list that I didn't get ask to be put on and technically it's not late. But I already paid $200.00 for my retainer and I wanted it as soon as possible to stop the jaw pain. I grind my teeth. Yes I sign the agreement to get the exam and retainer and to cover the cost if the insurance didn't cover it. But suspicious that the insurance didn't cover anything at all. How can an office stay in business when the patient get quoted for $138.00 for a deep cleaning they didn't want and ends up being billed for additional $220.00. That's on top of the $340.00 CT (cool pic bro), $250.00 exam fee. All up front minus the part the insurance didn't pay. Anyhow, I will contact them for a break down and talk to my insurance. Then I will have to contact the DOH for their rude rude heavy handed sales tactics on people who are experiencing pain. He patted my shoulder and told me he was sorry when he gave me my injection! I was able to listen to a meditation while he efficiently and carefully did the root canal. I had zero anxiety and 100% confidence that he knew what he was doing. I highly recommend his office if you are one of those patients that doesn't like to have dental work done. I must not forget to mention Jonathan, at the front desk desk, who is so kind to not only me, but every patient he comes in contact. He treats every patient like they are the only patient they have. Then, during the same visit, he changed direction and said it might be another tooth. The diagnosis felt all over the place. He recommended pulling tooth #30, and if that did not solve the pain, possibly pulling another tooth next. That is extremely concerning when tooth removal is permanent. Thankfully, we got a second opinion. The new dentist and even his assistant immediately identified the real issue on the X-ray at the root area of the painful tooth. A root canal was needed, with no extractions required. If we had trusted Dr. Marfo's recommendation, my family member could have had teeth pulled unnecessarily, followed by bone grafts, post work, cost, and pain/suffering while the actual problem was left untreated. Based on this experience, I have no confidence in his judgment or treatment planning.
