The office itself is always immaculately clean, the staff are professional yet warm, and the overall experience feels like everything is done at the highest level. Every time I come here, I leave with a smile (literally and figuratively). SHOCKINGLY TO ME: a crown is removed, a brand new one created, and installed IN ONE APPOINTMENT! Today's technology used at Petrie uses a camera to 3d your crown and tooth area and the result: perfect. Prior history, I had to have the crown adjusted when high points become noticed. Here, my crown is the best fit ever in my life and at one appointment. Prior replacements required two appointments and more work to create a crown. Reminders are nicely made to avoid forgetting an appointment too. Simply a happy customer for a good reason: nothing could be done better.

I saw Dr. Olga and her dental assistant Gosia. They took X-rays, including a panoramic X-ray, and examined my teeth. They even used a device which created an digital model of my teeth! This is definitely a top of the line dental office! We discussed a path forward to clean my teeth, replace my missing molar, and even straighten my teeth. They were so nice and explained everything in terms I could understand. Everyone there, including the front desk folks, were so wonderful to me. Great care, but their billing office is less than professional. My son had work done at the…read morebeginning of the year. We were charged for the work and Delta Dental paid their portion and I paid the rest with my HSA. When I got the receipt, I found that they had over charged me by $300+. My HSA placed a hold on my account until this money was reimbursed. Today was the third time I contacted Down to Earth Dental to resolve this. They want to give me a credit for the dental office, but my HSA won't accept this and has told me that they need to be reimbursed for them to unlock my account. Each time I contact the dental office (by phone and in person) I'm told they need to have their insurance manager contact me. They have not contacted me and many months later this is still not resolved. I have almost $2k in my HSA that I don't have access to due to this office not refunding my overpayment. I feel like this will not get resolved without outside intervention. As of today, I have filed a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Office in order to resolve this ridiculous situation. Be prepared to use outside interventions to resolve any mistakes they make when billing their patients. I'm guessing they figure people will overlook a few hundred dollars because an attorney will cost more than that amount. My advice is to let them know the Attorney General's office will receive a formal written complaint if the billing issues are not resolved. The free consult I received from a local attorney informed me that I was one of many that had called her office in regards to this same situation by other patients. UPDATE: The billing issues I was having were resolved. The insurance manager got in touch with me and refunded my account. My HSA is now available to me.

I'll start with the fact the office feels out of date and dingy and is frankly due for a remodel on the inside. I never got the feeling that I was being taken care of by their staff using anything particularly state of the art. During my first appointment, Dr. Kim, though he is a nice person, was yawning the entire time he worked on my teeth.
