Miss Rita and Miss Jaye, both dental assistants were just wonderful! Their cleanings were swiftly done and then Dr. Dansie showed up and said they had no problems. This seriously was the quickest dental appointment we have ever had for the boys. Thank you Dr. Dansie for an awesome experience. Clearly both Miss Rita and Miss Jaye are a direct reflection of your work ethics. We have since scheduled their next appointment.

Our family had been patients at The Kids' Dentist for about two years, and until this experience,…read morewe truly loved the office. Two of our children were patients there, which makes this review especially disappointing. After Dr. Dansie presented a treatment plan for our 4-year-old son that included general anesthesia, multiple crowns, and two pulpotomies (baby root canals), we decided to seek a second opinion before proceeding. The second dentist recommended treating the cavities with fillings under local anesthesia and laughing gas, with no crowns or pulpotomies. We found this reassuring and simply wanted to discuss whether a more conservative treatment plan would be appropriate for our son. Over the next month, we called the office at least six times trying to speak directly with Dr. Dansie. We were told he was on vacation. Ten days after our initial request, another dentist left a voicemail offering to answer our questions. We missed the call, and when we called back the next business day, we were once again routed through the front desk. The lack of direct communication resulted in significant miscommunication. We were under the impression that the updated treatment plan would not include crowns, pulpotomies or general anesthesia. We scheduled treatment based on that understanding. Then, just two days before the appointment, we were informed that Dr. Dansie would not be there and another dentist would perform the procedure. At the appointment, the covering dentist planned to complete Dr. Dansie's original treatment plan using crowns and the pulpotomies. The only change in the plan was to use local anesthesia and to complete treatment over multiple visits. I shared that this was not the treatment we believed had been discussed. The dentist refused to modify the treatment plan. For that reason, we left without treatment. Two business days later, Dr. Dansie called and explained that he had never received a message that we had been trying to reach him. By then, it had been over a month since our initial request to speak with him. I shared the same concerns outlined in this review, and he was apologetic and understanding of our decision to leave the practice. We ultimately chose to leave the practice and sought a third opinion. That dentist recommended the most conservative approach of the three opinions we received: fillings only, using laughing gas and laser dentistry, with no crowns or pulpotomies. I understand that dentists can have different treatment philosophies, but the poor communication, last-minute provider change, and confusion surrounding our son's treatment plan caused us to lose confidence in the practice.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was professional, polite, and so welcoming. They were patient and kind with the kids, which immediately put us all at ease. The dentist was absolutely hilarious--he had all the kids laughing and feeling comfortable, which made the whole experience fun instead of scary. I was especially impressed that we never felt rushed. The team took their time with each child, explained everything clearly, and made sure everyone was comfortable. They've clearly put a lot of thought into making the office kid-friendly, with thoughtful touches and a calm, cheerful atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back. It's such a relief to find a place that genuinely cares about making dental visits a good experience for kids (and parents!). Highly recommend! Thank You Luong and Staff

An employee, Shalona, said, "He peed last time he was here." I retorted, "That's absolutely & verifiably false." She replied, "That's neither here or [sic] there, but he can't be in here with no documentation or harness." I showed her the law (RCW) on my phone, showing it's not required & she exclaimed, "Don't put that phone in my face! If you don't take that dog out, we'll call the police!" I did not put my phone in her face & hoped she'd call the police, so it'd be documented. The witnesses would've been named in a lawsuit... Ultimately, Dr. Luong emerged & mediated a compromise, whereby he said our dog could stay for the visit if I agreed not to bring him again. Shalonda lied about our dog urinating in the office, violated my rights & threatened to call the police. This business should educate itself on the Service Animal laws of this state, so as not to violate other people's rights. Moreover, they should treat people with dignity, respect & professionalism. Being accountable isn't their priority, as that entitled, rude & disrespectful Karen should've been reprimanded & made to apologize for her deplorable behavior. I cannot recommend a business that treats folks so despicably...

The way I was treated by the reception staff made both my daughter and me feel uncomfortable from the moment we walked in. Instead of being met with understanding after proactively communicating that we were running a few minutes late, I was met with arguments, an adversarial tone, and a complete lack of empathy. As a parent, it's heartbreaking to have your child watch you be spoken to that way before even making it back to the exam room. I understand the need for office policies, but professionalism, kindness, and customer service should come first, especially in a pediatric office. I left feeling embarrassed, unwelcome, and disappointed. I sincerely hope the front desk receives additional customer service training so other families don't have a similar experience.
