I was awake but the extraction happened so fast I didn't get a chance to react. Dr. Kalman is so gentle and I love his bed side manners. Dana was very patient and I appreciate her looking out for me especially since I'm nervous Nelly. I felt no pain other than a little soreness and a tad swelling but otherwise I lived another day. My choice of pain meds when needed was, Advil Dual..you can find them on Amazon. They reacted better to my body and not make me nauseous or dizzy. Otherwise everything else is great. I would definitely recommend anybody to get their tooth extracted by this facility especially with Dr. Kalman. Thank you again!

No pain during procedure and that is what matters!!! Had my impacted wisdom tooth removed here and…read moreI can say that is it painless during procedure! Location: the clinic is along Woodhaven Blvd. The clinic is huge and clean. I felt like this is new facility cause its very clean and well maintained. I got street parking cause there is a lot of residential areas nearby. Checkin: You have to check in on the desk, I made apppointment by phone so it was easy to checkin. I have to wait for like an hour to be called for my procedure. Employee: Dr. Cardo is very professional, explains well the condition and treatments. He will show you to the monitor the teeth that has problem, the treatment and the after care. Again, I didn't experience any pain during procedure which is great. The employees are well known and informative about the case. They will give you health teaching before you leave. My only concern is that during your procedure the door is widely open, so people might see what they are doing to your mouth. I'm not sure if that's the protocol on the clinic but it's not bad to have a little privacy specially with dental procedures. Definitely will come back here for future treatments! Dr. Cardo helped me remove my impacted wisdom tooth.

In the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic - Dr. Kollander came in to save the day!!…read more After several traumatic dental experiences throughout my childhood, I have developed severe dental anxiety. I usually can't even get X-rays without shaking/crying just from the thought of the dentist. This lead me to put off dealing with an impacted wisdom tooth for years. I finally reached my breaking point when the impacted tooth broke the one in front of it in half and left the entire nerve exposed. Of course, this had to happen right as the world is suffering from the corona virus and many dental procedures were restricted. I was going to try and wait it out but woke up one day and the pain was more than ibuprofen could handle. After hours of calling and being denied by oral surgeons on account of covid-19 restrictions without anyone even looking at my teeth situation, Dr. Kollander had me in his office for a consultation the same day, and approved an emergency extraction using IV sedation the next day after! I was so relieved to finally put this to rest - but still terrified of the unknown procedure. If you're like me and reading some of these reviews - please don't take the negatives to heart because I have no clue what dentist these people are talking about but it couldn't be Dr. Kollander or anyone of his staff members. I was treated with respect and such warmth - even in the middle of a global health emergency. I felt sorry for putting the workers at risk by coming in to the office, (not that I was showing symptoms - but we really can't be too careful) and not once did they make me feel sorry. They were professional courteous and polite the whole way through. Dr. Kollander explained the procedure prior to starting and answered all questions I had. This was by far the most extensive work I've had done in one sitting - two extractions right next to each other - yet it was the most comfortable I've ever been at the dentist. I did not feel a THING during the procedure, and here I am the next day with minimal pain, just some soreness. I highly recommend Dr. Kollander and his staff for anyone in need of some serious dental work with anxiety like mine. I was even shaking before the IV was in and the wonderful assistant was so empathetic and really made me at ease. I am so grateful to have found this place - especially during this crazy time in the world, as it was really hard to even find anyone to look at my teeth! I want to thank Dr. Kollander and his staff for risking their health to be there for their patients. I will be back to discuss implants when this pandemic is over. I hope you and your staff remain safe and healthy!

I arrived and filled out the necessary forms. The front desk lady, who seemed Asian was very nice, polite and professional. I can't say the same about the other receptionist in the back computer, as she half answered other patients questions as if she was being disturbed from her social media scroll break. I had a positive experience with the exception of the ridiculous wait time. If you make an appointment here, clear your schedule and be ready to wait 1-3 hours. Bring a book, some headphones and you'll be set.

This place is terrible. Although I had a 10 am appointment, I had to wait two hours to be seen. I was initially going for a consultation and, to my surprise, was offered an extraction. I decided to take the offer so I wouldn't have to come back and experience the terrible wait time again. However, as soon as I agreed, the dental assistant and the oral surgeon administered sleeping gas without telling me! I had no idea I would completely fall asleep; I thought I would be given local anesthesia. The next thing I knew, I woke up groggy without my wisdom teeth. It felt extremely intrusive and callous. While I am glad to have gotten my wisdom teeth removed, I am extremely disappointed by the way this office treats its patients, from check-in to check-out. It's not hard to be a decent person and treat people with respect, which this office fails to do.

The person who called to remind me of my appointment also told me an estimate of the minimum and maximum out-of-pocket cost with my insurance which was very helpful. The whole process from start to finish for my appointment was about 1 hour. Their office is on the 3rd floor and you can open the door (without knocking-the building interior looks a little like an apartment complex so I had expected someone to open the door for a hot minute). After checking in, I filled out some sheets of paperwork as a first time patient and sat at their waiting area. The waiting area has some social distanced seating (~4-5 chairs) and while small, seemed clean and cozy for a dental place. Dr. Gene Pezzollo was the doctor who removed my wisdoms. I had intended on removing all 4, but he had mentioned that one of my teeth was close to a nerve and explained it by noting it in my xray. He suggested to leave it if it didn't bother me because there were certain bigger risks involved with removing it. I was thankful for his advice and took it. Overall the rest of the staff who prepped me as was as Dr. Gene Pezzollo were great in making sure the surgery was as painless as it could be (they thankfully checked multiple times). After the surgery, I was given a sheet of instructions and extra gauze. I would highly suggest you take the rest of the day to rest. Also, make sure to come to your appointment on time!
