While gum tunneling is considered "minimally invasive," I don't think it should ever be taken lightly when it comes to WHO performs it. This is one of those procedures where experience, precision, and artistry matter tremendously, and this woman IS a surgical artist. I was pretty nervous the week leading up to surgery, having built this procedure up in my head as a huge and painful event. Instead, the entire experience felt like relaxing girl talk while the Queen of Dentistry worked her magic. Before I knew it, I was done. The craziest part? I walked out smiling, feeling amazing, and you genuinely couldn't even tell I had just undergone periodontal surgery. Yes...really. The recovery pain was surprisingly minimal considering what I had done. The realization of no longer having gums that felt like frickin' tissue paper and finally correcting my bizarre gingival defect has been eye-opening. You don't realize what your mouth has been missing until it's finally healthy again! The difference has TRULY been life-changing and I feel like my mommy makeover has been completed with exceptional results. My only complaint? The stitches weren't available in neon pink or glitter (tee hee, just kidding!) I have been scared of getting my 4 impacted wisdom…read moreteeth out for years, and I had visited two oral surgeons prior to him (one also very highly recommended in Manhattan), but I didn't feel comfortable with either of them doing the procedure. After seeing Dr. Tuchman, I felt a lot more comfortable with him and decided to have him do the procedure due to his very attentive bedside manner and expertise. The other oral surgeons told me that couldn't remove all of my wisdom teeth--one was very close to the nerve, and the other surgeons offered to cut the tooth in half. Dr. Tuchman took an additional x-ray and said he could remove the tooth without complications (the risk factor as low as 0.5%). He also explained that there were risks to cutting the tooth in half (i.e. infection, issues later in life), so he was confident he could remove all of the wisdom teeth. I am very happy that I chose him to do my wisdom tooth extraction! As a result, he removed all 4 of the teeth completely, and I was very surprised that I didn't have almost any pain afterwards and pretty minimal swelling. I did have to wait a little bit in the chair for him, but definitely worth the wait if you get to the appointment early because he takes time and a lot of care with his patients. If I would've known that I wouldn't have much pain at all, I would've gotten the procedure done earlier. He also deeply cares about his patients and gave me a call after the surgery to make sure I was doing ok and taking my medications. His secretary is also great and helped me reschedule my appointment a couple times after I needed things switched around. His office is great. If you're scared of getting your wisdom teeth removed, I would highly recommend Dr. Tuchman's office!

First, without telling the patient beforehand, Stephen J Klein deceived me into signing for cancer diagnosis without any explanation, which is illegal. I never asked Stephen J Klein to get a cancer diagnosis, but Stephen J Klein deceitfully misled me into thinking I was signing for a tooth extraction. The doctors, nurses, and secretary never mentioned the tumor diagnosis to me. Now Stephen J Klein keeps threatening me and overly charged me 500$. Second, I had already had an x-ray diagnosis done at another clinic. X-ray results showed that Stephen Klein did not successfully complete the bone engraft. This is a very serious medical accident. However, Stephen J Klein still threatened me and overly charged me 500$. Third, during the process of extracting my teeth, Stephen Klein did not wait for the anesthesia to take effect before forcefully extracting my teeth, which caused me tremendous pain. Serious scheduling and professionalism issues at the front desk…read moreI want to lay out exactly what happened because I think other patients deserve to know before they book here. 6/24: I called and scheduled an appointment for 7/15 at 2:00 PM. For the next two weeks: I received zero confirmation -- no call, text, or email. Nothing. 7/7 (first call): I called myself to confirm since I'd heard nothing. The front desk staff member answered, then abruptly told me to hold while she started talking to someone else on another line. When I asked if she was even talking to me, she hung up without a word. I had to call back a second time that same day just to get an answer. She confirmed the appointment and told me she'd call again two days before to reconfirm. Two days before the appointment: That promised call never happened. One day before the appointment: She finally called -- only to tell me the doctor no longer had my confirmed time available and asked if I could take an earlier slot instead. Less than 24 hours' notice to completely rearrange my schedule, after being told twice that everything was locked in. When I explained I couldn't make the new time, she offered a next-available date that was also too far out to work for me. She has no real acknowledgment that any of this was an inconvenience on my end. She made no apologies at all time. The bigger issue: This wasn't one bad day. It's a repeated pattern -- no follow-through on promises to confirm, getting hung up on as a paying patient, and last-minute changes with zero notice. That's a work ethic problem at the front desk, and it directly affects whether patients can actually rely on this office. I originally chose this practice because a friend had a great experience with the doctor here, and I have no doubt the clinical care may be good. But I can't recommend this office as long as the front desk is run this way -- the disorganization and disregard for patients' time undoes all the goodwill the doctor may have earned. Management really needs to address this.
