Halitosis treatment!! I waisted my time and left with over 4000 dollars worth of loan for halitosis treatment, didn't even receive 1% result. Only thing he did he put the probe between my teeth and said I have bacteria. He gave me a cleaning which wasn't even needed because I do cleaning every six month.he told me to come back for two week,when I went back I didn't even spend three minutes he run the probe on top of my teeth gave me a mouthwash ,and told me to come back for maintenance.this is not what I was expected. Awful scam artist! He told me I had 8 cavities (never in my life had I EVER had more than 1 cavity at a time). He said they were "Junior" cavities and that would not show up on an x-ray. Used some machine that he invented to see them. He said it was more or less preventive. Preventive fillings for cavities? You have to be kidding me. I heard about dr fox over the internet but I consider partially my fault for not looking at the bad yelp reviews before visiting the office. So after reading about his Harvard course teaching experience and serving as an advisor for over 21 patents that revolutionized the industry I finally decided to visit and consult him regarding his miracle halitosis treatment if you search his YouTube video and also read his website he claims to develop some miracle treatment to cure bad breath. As soon as I entered the office I was told to fill in the documentation and told to leave the insurance part to be left empty so that receptionist can fill it in. Anyway I was paying out of pocket so I went to consultation room where I was told by his assistant that they hear several stories a day and people come here and tell them how their life has completely changed after the treatment and this is when I was telling her how halitosis is affecting my social life and nevertheless the professional life and after a minute he walked in and smelled my mouth and told me that these are anaerobic bacteria creating the volatile sulphur compounds and he will take sample of the bacteria from the mouth to analyze under the microscope and he took the sample showed me under the slide the bacteria , first of all I must say I am not a dentist and as a client I rely heavily on doctors advice and what would be your response if you hear that someone has a solution to your problem that you have experienced over several years if you look around his room filled with being an inventor of enamelon toothpaste and serving as a cosmetic dentistry professor for Harvard you would feel that you are in the right hands for professional advice and I will paraphrase it what he said " I have done this before and this will go away and I have a procedure I am going to charge you what I charge you for a crown that will include some supplies and antibiotics that you can take and this will be all over " hearing this I swiftly made the decision to proceed with the procedure and went out to pay upfront 3000 dollars using my credit card and as soon as I came in I was told doctor is going to numb your mouth to start the treatment my mouth was numb with anesthetic injection and with the topical one and he took out his cavitron ( ultra sonic scaler) to start scaling my mouth and then he used high volume suction with the tongue suction head for couple of times and I thought it's just the beginning but then 10 minutes later I was told to go home and I was given a bag of philips toothbrush and flagyl antibiotic to take it for 10 Days . My whole mouth was so numb that I couldn't even complain and I just took my wife I went home and ten days later I came back for the second appointment and this time he didn't even take the sample of Slavia from the mouth to check under the microscope to see if it has improved or reduced I stated my condition that I went for the interview and people were still putting hands on their mouth and i failed it and all he told me " I ran out of all tricks may be you need to visit gastrologist " At that very moment I felt so disappointed to see that people with all these credentials and qualification are just there to rip you off and take advantage of your misery . This is to you mr.fox and I know you would read it : when a patient comes to you and tells you his problem he must have tried every single thing before hand including eating yogurt berries hydrogen peroxide owning 40 dollar ultra sonic brush avoiding garlic spicy food or alcohol Don't make false claims of miracle treatment when all you have to offer is to charge 3000 dollars for dental cleaning and a tooth brush If you tell anyone and even on your YouTube video that you will charge 3000 for dental cleaning no one will ever come to you You know it's wrong unlawful unethical and falsifying unrealistic claims along with false advertising is a crime and I could have reported you to consumer protection agency and American dental association to revoke your license but I am better than you - I know money is important for everyone but you don't have to deceive people to earn it and those credentials on the wall mean nothing if you are not an ethical honest man So people save your money and if you are suffering halitosis please try to do something else but don't come to this place read more

It's hard to believe an office this incompetent can practice medicine of any kind. I came in for my annual cleanings and every time, Dr. Fox would numb my entire mouth beyond belief and blast off his cleaning equipment. Any skilled and careful dentist would not need to numb his patients for a routine cleaning - sheer laziness. No doctor has ever done that before or after and when I mentioned this to my new dentist, he seemed concerned. Then, upon leaving, his staff would force an iPad upon me and ask for a positive patient review. So be forewarned, if you see any five star reviews, it's probably because the staff pressured you into leaving one. And now, almost five years after seeing Dr Fox as my dentist, his staff still cannot figure out how to remove me from the mailing list despite multiple requests. The staff is good, the doctor is also nice, but the bad breath treatment is temporary. You have to keep going and maintaining it with their products. If you do not, the breath issue comes right back. So I am not going anymore. I use regular Therapbreath mouthwash and it does a better job than their maintenance mouthwash. If you have extra $3000 to throw away you can try this. Well...after almost 3 years Dr. Fox responds. I will say this...i had brought recent xrays to the office and STILL he proceeded to give me unnecessary xrays. I still do not understand why that was needed. He did not acknowledge that. Additionally, it would have been AMAZING to have been explained what treatment I was receiving prior to receiving it. I had one problem tooth and that was what I went in there for...instead he gave me this gum cleaning which saved me from a heart attack BUT my one tooth got ignored. Thank you Dr Fox. I will be sure to steer all away from your business. I did get my one tooth fixed out of pocket after using up my insurance on this one visit. Again, thank you dr fox. bravo. STAY AWAY!! Dr. Fox advertises he does porcelain veneers all over his websites. He told me that I needed veneers because I have enamel issues. Instead of using porcelain he used zirconium without giving me an option. The only time I authorized for him to use zirconium was to crown one of my back teeth because I grind my teeth a lot and he said that I was missing a third of that tooth. He charged me over $15,000. The claim was sent into Cigna. The paper that I signed said I had porcelain veneers done, he used the porcelain code, and everything was fine until I received a statement of benefits that said he owed me around $10,000. With that much money his story completely changed, my chart was altered, the paper that I signed was altered, he had a conference call with my husband whose policy it is and Fox changed his story to Cigna. Oh, also, within the first week of having the veneers one of them chipped by the gum line and he blamed me by telling me I was flossing wrong. When I had gone back he put on the new veneer without using any latex gloves. He gave me a free at home whitening kit which was beyond too strong for my gums and contained peroxide. I asked him previously if there were any that didn't have any peroxide and he said that there were and that is what he would give me. He didn't! He also didn't tell me how many days to use it. I figured that I should probably stop once my teeth started to become extra sensitive and I could see my gums being eaten away by this crap. He's very into the so-called high tech gadgets he has but I only saw one thing relatively high tech a few times and then it disappeared. He loves talking about how he loves the best of the best whether it be cars or technology. He made a night guard for me that I can't use and when I showed it to my new dentist he was in disbelief. Fox still owes the money. He sent me a letter after I asked for the money back and a copy of my file that he will no longer be my dentist without any reason given. If I had ever been disrespectful to him that would be one thing but I never was. On the letterhead it says that he's affiliated with Harvard University. He's not. My husband called the University's dental program and they said he used to be but no longer. Oh, I almost forgot, I was clearly having allergic reactions to the neuropenephrine (sp? The numbing shot) and his head was in the clouds until I mentioned that I felt like I wanted to puke. I now know why I would constantly shake. My new dentist doesn't take insurance, but it's worth it. I had gone to him previously but I couldn't afford the dental work needed at the time. He was really in as much disbelief as my husband and I were when we spoke to him and he saw what Dr. Fox (I swear I hear Steve Martin sing, "Son Be a Dentist" from Little Shop of Horrors whenever I think of him) did. There is one interesting thing, on my last visit he took x-rays and didn't tell me I had cavities that needed to be taken care of that my current dentist had to take care of after looking at Fox's film and examining me. I was very dissatisfied, to say the least, when it came to my son and getting the necessary treatment for his bad breath. I truly believe that this experience was awful. As a mother, I would do everything in my power to help my child. Dr. Fox appealed to my emotions saying all of the right things such as "I know it's hard at that age, confidence is a big deal, without treatment - this bacteria can eventually lead to cancer...... So, it is understandable as to why I agreed to the treatment, which by the way, was done so fast, I couldn't even think about changing my mind. I was also told to wait in the waiting room. Why couldn't I have stayed during the treatment process? In the end, this treatment that cost three thousand dollars did very little to nothing to help my son. Also, I believe that the staff knew the insurance company would never cover this treatment which was put in as a "scaling of the mouth" twice. (something like that) Not everyone has that kind of money to throw out. If you have this problem, make sure it is not the mouth that is causing the bad breath. Dr.Steven Fox is the worst worst dentist I have ever experienced. I went for cleanning, the cleanning took maybe 5 minutes. Some people might his good for taking such a short time but a real cleanning should take 30 - 45 minutes. He will put this thing on your gum to numb it to make you feel like he is really doing something special but it's not. It was a waiste of money. I was so upset because he has all of these diplomas from the best schools in the U.S. and he is so bad at what he does. He has up to date equipments that he uses to tell you that you have cavities and evererything, he told me I needed to repair 5 teeths because of cavities, so I decided to go for second opinion. I went to two different doctors. The first one told me I was fine and I went to another one because I wasn't so sure the second one told me I was also fine. This is nothing against Dr. Fox and his work, but instead the assistant/receptionist that was irresponsible, showed a lack of ethics and incompetent w/ regards to insurance processing. I arrived for my 9am appointment and was sat down relatively quickly by Dr. Fox himself as the receptionist was not in. I informed him my insurance had changed and he said okay. He started work and then the receptionist/assistant came in and I again told her my insurance had changed. She took my information and that was the last I saw of her until my procedure was over. When I was going to check out she said I was no longer covered by my new insurance and I was to pay roughly $500 out of pocket. Why did she not come in and tell me that? When I asked that, she said she was running late this morning because of the train and had to catch up on things. That SHOULD NOT be my problem. While in the office she said she'd attempt to see if the insurance could cover any portion of it. Following that visit I received a couple nasty phone calls from her (or another) saying I needed to pay the bill. Well, I never received the bill for which I explained that but the nasty phone calls continued. I should not be paying for something which they improperly handled. Be sure you are very clear about services and coverage before anything happens. She was irresponsible and I shouldn't have to pay for her mistake. read more

You don't have to wait long to get an appointment and wait times are short. However, once there: I had x-rays performed as they were 'necessary' BEFORE Dr. Fox informed me that they don't do bridges (which is advertised on his site, and the price of which I was told over the phone before scheduling, and was the only service I was interested in) as it was an outdated procedure, and offered implants instead.
