Parking is impossible here because of the limited parking spots by each store. Got to wait for another car to leave and see if any car is fighting for the same spot and then you go berserk! Not much going on here. There is a limited option of stores in this mall that I go to. Wish there were more stores of my type!

I wish I visited that mall, but thank goodness for old photos and memories. The facility looks very nice with many high-end and upscale stores, which you'll find in other outdoor malls as well. Most of the stores I saw outside have a great variety to choose from, with so much to offer. Although that may be true, some of the upscale stuff may not be eye-appealing to some, but everyone's taste is different. There are a couple of retail stores that ring a bell, such as Gap, At Home Furniture, Loft, Bath & Bath Body Works, and Stop & Shop. While exploring, they also provide entertainment, and also dining as an alternative of a number to pick. It's easy to get around, and a map is provided in different areas of the place, which is not hard to miss. In its condition, I see The Shops thriving in the years to come. I wouldn't consider it the place of returning to any time soon due to how far I am, and also my interests in terms of stores. On the flip slide, the changes that occur are what draw my attention, and will be back to observe for that purpose (along with other Shops and Malls). It's clean and kept up very well, and that's what matters. Link to my memory review: https://www.yelp.com/biz/simon-mall-nanuet

Second floor mostly has women's apparels and a huge backstage section for items on big discounts. Third floor kid's apparels, toys and home products. I found the store well lit, clean and organized. Found few tops for my daughter in the backstage kid's section of backstage. Prices were excellent, under $20 for each. We also found couple of pairs of shoes in the women's clearance section. Both pairs had over 65% discount as they were on final sale. The staff members were friendly throughout the store. They assisted with finding the size of the shoes, did quick checkout and packed all items in paper bags. Overall it had a really nice shopping experience at this store.

Except, with the predicted Saturday-into-Sunday snowstorm, we were on the clock. Forget about the Macy's in Yorktown Hgts- that place is downright depressing with no furniture dept. This Macy's, on the farthest side of the Palisades Mall is a breath of fresh air. To add, there's a huge furniture dept on the 3rd floor. We were happy. Whether you need a new statement sofa, sectional, dining table, bed frame or something small to finish your room, this location has all the pieces. Every floor in Macy's was swarming with people and clothing racks were neat AND filled. Our guy Andrew was exceptional. He didn't nag and didn't stalk us. He went above and beyond and exuded great, old-fashioned customer service from helpfulness to language to knowledge- the dude was just high-level. The atmosphere is relaxed, he took care of pricing and we left with a smile.

Pros: (+) cute clothes…read more(+) wide range of colored & printed pants (+) reasonably priced (+) cute shoes Cons: (-) some t-shirts and tank top have cheap quality fabric (-) their displays are a little dry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I usually buy from Delia's through their online store where it's easy to view the clothes and shop. I can honestly say I drop a pretty good amount when shopping online. So when I saw that there was a Delia's store in the mall I got so excited!!! However, when I walked in, I was a little disappointed on the way the store displays looked. Basically, the clothes look much cuter online than in store. The visual displayment of their shirts....were hung on what looked like a clothing line. It looked a bit tacky for such cute shirts. I did find some cute stuff there..dresses, patterned socks, accessories, shoes, etc. I was loving their range of colorful and printed pants! The good thing about shopping in store is not having to pay shipping. If you can find what you are looking for online and verify if they have it in store too...then you can save yourself shipping costs. They do have cute stuff, I'm not going to lie. The prices are decent. Not as affordable as Forever 21 per se, but decent. $30 for some wedge shoes. The most expensive thing I saw was a sequin dress for $70.

For example, there is an entire storefront devoted to claw machines. There is another store called "mystery bins" that has a random assortment of items that kind of look like they fell off a truck. There is a rope obstacle course for kids on the upper floors of the mall. Cool concept, but a little off putting that things could fall from above on to shoppers on the lower levels. THE NOT SO GOOD ----------------------------- - The mall is definitely showing its age with cracks on the floor, ripped up leather on the cushioned benches and dated infrastructure. - Food court consists mostly of fast food vendors you can find outside (e.g., Wendys, Taco Bell, Burger King, Nathan's). MIXED THOUGHTS ---------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Was as busy as any mall on a Saturday afternoon, but, aesthetically it's no competition with the shinier Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall and American Dream Mall.
