Then I received an email confirmation that the order was being processed. That was 7/21. The status never changed. I place a call to customer service last week and spoke with someone utterly incompetent. Today I spoke with a competent customer service person but the item is NO LONGER IN STOCK. What? I never received any notification from Chico's and it's been 21 days! Apparently, no one pulled the order and the item and the order disappeared. And there is no manager-level person to speak with for 24-48 hours. I also no longer like shopping in the stores for the reasons expressed in other reviews - I feel like I'm bothering the staff. Generally they're gathered around the sales desk, clucking about someone else's wayward daughter or Jennifer Aniston's latest boyfriend... waaay too busy to acknowledge your presence. I'm not a huge Chico's fan to begin with, although I'm right in their zip code... middle-aged and a little plump. Some of the jewelry is interesting, and once or twice a year I actually find a shirt that's not sized to fit John Goodman. Most of the stuff is so "Here's some pull-on pants and garish tops to disguise your lack of waist" but it only draws attention to the problem. If you have that problem. Which I don't. Really. I don't. Everything is so very shiny and synthetic, in hideous animal prints (so edgy!) and since one trend is never enough, they usually throw in handfuls of sparkly rhinestones or "fun" beading on top of it. Their "unique" sizing system (1, 2, 3, 4) is just stupid...what's wrong with S,M,L,XL? Or even Tall, Grande and Venti? I've never actually bought anything in the Woodcliff Lake store. First of all, giraffe-print chiffon scarves went out in the '80's. And secondly, I don't want any of those gossiping gals to get a penny of commission from me. If you really want a 'Chico's kind of day' I recommend the much smaller Westwood store. It's hard to navigate (there are racks and tables everywhere) but the saleswomen are friendly and helpful. The sales are great at either store. It's definitely the place to go if you're looking for that special rayon t-shirt with a silk-screened panda on it. (Rhinestone eyes!)

He's great helping you order something online, or helping you to find something in store. But should you have any issues with anything bought here beware. He ordered me a pair of sneakers that they had online, but not in store. He seemed great, and pleasant etc. Shortly after getting the sneaker, and finally opening the box to wear the sneaker, they didn't look anything close to the photo online. I decided it wasn't for me. At that time I read up and found the return policy to be 60 days. I went on about my usual business until I needed to go to the mall again, in which I called their customer service to verify since by that time I had misplaced the invoice/receipt, and brought the shoe in for return shortly after 30 days. He automatically said no. I said but I spoke to customer service this morning. He began lying that without the receipt there's no way he could even pull up the item or return it. I said so can you call customer service since they said it was possible. He said sure no problem. This dude! Picked up the phone and automatically started talking ( he had someone on hold!). He then walked off into the back of the store ( no longer visible) and walked back out, and said it's not possible I can't return it. I end up leaving the store calling customer service, who ends up sending him the invoice they pulling up with my phone number. He then claims its been over 30 days he doesn't know if he can take it back now etc. Customer service tells him to do it as a one time courtesy. Blah blah blah another 30 minutes later after babysitting him and thank goodness I kept them on the phone he completes my return! MORAL OF THE STORY: If you are not 100000% sure of the product you are purchasing, avoid this location, and this deceiving con artist of a manager. He will lie and avoid processing your return at all costs. I will never step foot in this champs store again.
