I had been visiting this office for routine cleanings over the past couple of years, and Dr. Kim seemed nice enough. However, things changed during a series of five visits related to a cracked tooth that had been causing sharp pain when chewing since summer 2024. From the first visit in August 2024, I raised a concern that the tooth might be cracked. Dr. Kim repeatedly dismissed this and insisted the pain was caused by clenching too hard. On the second visit, he shaved the tooth down to adjust the bite, but the pain worsened. It wasn't until the fourth visit that he finally acknowledged there was, in fact, a crack in the tooth, and referred me to an endodontist. It was disappointing that the tooth ended up needing a crown after six months of severe pain--especially since I had voiced my concern about a possible crack from the very beginning. Despite feeling upset over having my initial concerns dismissed, I never complained or placed blame on Dr.Kim. I returned to Dr. Kim for the crown after undergoing root canal treatment by the endodontist, wanting to have it done before a scheduled long trip, assuming he would be able to handle the procedure properly this time. During the fifth visit, he began the conversation by commenting on how difficult it is to detect a crack. Then, in an agitated tone, he said things like, "I played by the book," referring to the earlier bite adjustment, and, "Anyway, the tooth is now treated, so what's the matter?" Since I hadn't gone to argue, I replied, "You've said that many times already. Let's just proceed with the procedure." However, while he was shaving the tooth down, he lost his temper and began repeating comments nonstop: "I don't want to do this now." "Be grateful for what I did." "I don't do unnecessary treatment. Do you want me to have done the root canal from the beginning?" "Not many other dentists explain things as long and kindly as I do." I had to sit through all of this with my mouth open during treatment. Then, suddenly, he stopped and said a piece of the tooth had come off. The first words out of his mouth were, "It's not my fault. The crack was already there." He continued making excuses until I finally said, "Please stop talking and resolve the issue." At that point, he went silent and completed the buildup--but then told me to leave because he had no time for the next procedure. Dr. Kim was extremely disrespectful and offensive throughout the entire appointment, which lasted nearly an hour and forty minutes. I might have been able to overlook his lack of skill, but his attitude during that last visit was completely unacceptable--especially for someone in the medical profession. read more

Thanks again for outstanding service from a really nice guy! I had a chipped tooth, worried I would need a crown. Dr. Kim slipped me in, worked through his lunch and fixed it. Great work, great result. Dr. Kim is always very professional. It seems he has the latest and greatest equipment, which makes life very much better than other dentists. He is good at explaining about the root cause of cavity and overall dental care. And also he is friendly. However when it comes to cavity treatment and filling or other extra care, you need to aware that it takes twice/third times on overall procedures than other dentist, and you would feel that he is struggling and it makes the patient nervous. He treated my 2 teeth and filled both. But both filling fell off or chipped after 1 week and now I need another treatment but I don't want to go back to him cause I know that he did his best but it didn't work well. read more

I'd been coming to Dr. Kim for about 3 years and he is the nicest, most honest and genuine person you will ever meet. He focuses a lot on preventative care and making sure you understand how to take care of your teeth and have good dental hygiene. He doesn't try to do unnecessary procedures where he doesn't need to. He will actually recommend against fillings or procedures that he doesn't think you need. For example, I have two teeth with buckles against the gums where there were fillings prior but they fell out. I went to Dr. Kim and asked if I should re-apply the fillings to these teeth. In his honest and professional opinion, he actually told me that as long as I keep good hygiene, he didn't see a need to re-fill those fillings. His thoughts were to keep my teeth as status quo and try not to add anymore fillings if not needed. What dentist would pass up on giving a filling, right? Only one that is truly looking out for your best interest. He told me to think about whether I really wanted the filling and if it keeps bothering me and having sensitivity, then he would be happy to apply the filling. His staff is really great too. They are super responsive and very nice. They always have a cheery demeanor and are happy to see you. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim. It's so hard to find a trustworthy and good dentist like Dr. Kim these days. If you've been holding back on going to the dentist for any reason (cost, fear, etc), don't hold back anymore. Had my first appointment with Dr. Kim last month and giving him top rating. Like many, this is not my favorite activity. I lost my previous dentist when insurance changed and hated to look for new one. Strong Yelp reviews and equally strong ratings on my insurance company website caused me to choose Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim's staff was very friendly and got me through the appointment / entry process during COVID safety times. It appeared they took plenty of care to minimize risk. (ooops, my mistake using the Listerine to wash my hands, but hey, we must keep washing our hands, right?) Dr. Kim was friendly and personable. He listened carefully to my history and concerns. He took appropriate time to explain what he did and why, and gave views/recommendations on my concerns. Since I had put off finding a new dentist, especially with COVID, I was overdue for cleaning so that part was not enjoyable but he made it tolerable. He took additional time to educate me on my teeth (using the X-rays to explain) and I feel better about their condition and will use his tips for ongoing care. I know my late afternoon visit kept him beyond normal hours but patient care was clearly his priority. I was the test victim, and will now be sending other members of my family to Dr. Kim, so I guess that's the best testimony I can make. read more

I can't say I've always had great experiences with dentists, as I'm sure many of you can relate, but rest assured Dr. Steve is one of the best dentists you can find. I recently visited Dr Steve's office and LOVED my experience here. Dr Steve opened this office last year and everything feels so clean and comfortable. The detail is meticulous and that speaks a lot to me about how a dentist does his work. I loved that he took the effort to have LCDs available to watch Netflix or movies during treatment. Makes the time pass so much better. Dr Steve really gives you all of his attention and it was obvious to me that he's really enthusiastic and passionate about dentistry. I am very surprised that his review is quite good. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with him. His staff who is his wife didn't tell me the price. I told her we don't have a dental insurance on the phone. She told me that his charge is the lowest in the town. When we get there, without asking me, he did a few other treatment for my daughter and charge me quite a lot. Later I asked why the charge is high then they explained I agreed to do so. I am shocked that they told a lie. His wife said they will give me return and asked me to sign on the paper. The paper was about I agreed to do all treatments and he did. If I don't sign on the paper, there is no refund. I have never seen any clinic like this. Dr. Kim, I will never go back so don't worry.
