For over 12 years Dr. Jin and her staff have provided top-of-the-line dental health for me. After my long-time dentist retired, I gave 3-4 different dentists a chance but they all proved untrustworthy (e.g. telling me I needed expensive procedures I knew I did not need) and/or were ill equipped (e.g. rundown offices with out-of-date equipment). Good luck it was finding Dr. Jin, whose offices and equipment are always state-of-the-art! For example, at the start of the pandemic, she quickly acquired the latest health-safety equipment that enabled her to continue serving her patients without hazard. Her office and its location comes close to "luxurious," as well as just simply lovely, comfortable and convenient (easy access from HWY 680 in San Ramon, fairly near Costco, etc.) For all this, one might anticipate top-of-the-line billing, but no, compared to charges from other dentists dating from 10 years ago, not unreasonable. Especially, considering all the extra expenses I would be paying for the unnecessary procedures that had been proposed - and on one occasion "demanded" if I were to become a patient. I recently dropped my retired-teacher dental insurance and am now on self-pay, which turns out to be cheaper, even given a new crown looming in the future. The courtesy and sincere interest the entire staff shares with you reinforce the comfortable feelings you feel the first time you step into the building itself, even before reaching the office. And an extra plus: highly skilled hygienists...Tiffany, for one, is the best ever ! That being said, all in all, trust is the best feature of Dr. Jin's service -- she trusts you and will work with you to meet your situation and needs. And you can definitely trust her ! read more

I started seeing Dr. Carol Jin when my previous dentist stopped directly billing insurance. At the time, I needed a crown, as a previous dentist had botched one--leaving a significant gap between my teeth that caused ongoing problems. Worse, the original procedure had been quite painful because the crown didn't fit properly. Dr. Jin swiftly and expertly fixed the issue. She removed the old crown and placed a new one with remarkable ease--by far the most comfortable crown procedure I've ever had. She got the fit right the first time, closing the gap and ensuring a proper bite with my opposite tooth. What a relief! Beyond her skill, Dr. Jin uses some of the most efficient and modern equipment I've seen for both x-rays and crowns, making the process smoother and quicker. Her dental assistants are top-notch--friendly, professional, and gentle during cleanings. Equally impressive is her administrative staff. Unlike many front-desk teams that seem frustrated or indifferent (understandably so in many cases), Dr. Jin's staff are friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Their positive demeanor is a rarity these days, and I truly appreciate it. I very much appreciate the understanding and flexibility of Dr Jin and her staff. My husband has dementia and some days are better than others for him. He had a teeth cleaning scheduled and when we got to the office he became agitated. I apologized and said we would have to leave and offered to pay something for the late cancel. They were quite gracious and understanding about my husband's condition and I was not charged for this. We went back for another attempt at cleaning hubby's teeth. Dr Jin's office is not as flexible in terms of scheduling appointments. We found that the dental hygienists are great here but that's the only good part. Work for root canal and coordinating that with her referred external provider was a big pain. Work was also very expensive for a single root canal. When I gave this feedback, I was told that her practice isn't the right practice for my needs. I also got a letter from her office terminating the relationship that was already terminated. Bottom line, if you are looking for basic care, this practice may be a good choice. For any advanced needs, you will likely regret going here. read more

The best around, hands down! All the girls in the office are amazing. They all are so helpful and kind. It's really a pleasure going in. The office is clean, warm and inviting. Frankly, I didn't like the dentist. Previously I've had a few traumatizing experiences. I was nervous and apprehensive to say the least. I was very lucky to have stumbled across Dr. Jin and the girls. I started seeing her about a year ago and now refuse to go anywhere else. Tiff always does my cleanings and she's so sweet and efficient. I really enjoy our chats and she's become a friend. I look forward to seeing her. Dr. Jin is awesome. She's punctual, good, very fast and does a great job at making me feel comfortable. On one occasion I went in to get some work done, and she asked me if I had coffee before I arrived. To make sure she gave me enough numbing medication. I really appreciated that and it helped us both to save time and avoid trial and error. It's a small gesture, yes...but one that showed she cared about covering all the bases before we started treatment. I've never had a dentist ask me that. In the past they just do what they think is best. Then find out later, after we started that I need more numbing. She explained that caffeine will interfere with the numbing process so she needed to add a little extra. She's thorough, confident and very easy going. Everything you look for in a dentist. If you're looking for a 5 star dentist, look no further. Book with Dr. Jin for the win. After my visit I check in with Marissa for billing and setting a future appointment. She's always such a doll, she knows my routine and always takes my schedule and preferences into consideration. She also knows that if insurance isn't covering it, my husband is.
