We actually decided not to use Rocket Mortgage (forgoing their discount offer on our monthly rate) and go with Aran instead because the customer service was clearly so much better, and we'd rather get the house we want at a tiny higher cost than fail to get the house at any price. Aran is presumably a VERY busy person, but he was able to treat us as if we were the only clients we had. He made what could have been an overwhelmingly complex/time-consuming/stressful process into something like a series of happy calls (maybe 20-25 over 3-4 weeks?) with an especially well informed friend. It'll be a real long while before we feel like buying a house again, but when that time comes, I hope Aran is one of the first people we talk to. Plus he's just a really nice person.
