My husband and I just bought our first house with the help of Steve and Lisa, after they were recommended to us by friends who purchased locally a few years back. We have quite a few friends and colleagues who also purchased recently, and after hearing many of their experiences, feel incredibly grateful that we landed with them as our realtors. They were very hands on and supportive through the entire process. They brought their expertise to viewings, attentively incorporating our own needs and goals for a future home with practical considerations we wouldn't have thought of as first-time homebuyers. During our offer and escrow period, they once again stayed on top of everything. Every inspection we needed was scheduled quickly and seamlessly, they made themselves available when we had questions, and when we hit the occasional snag - dealing with a difficult lender or scheduling required remediation work - Lisa navigated us through those stressful situations and helped us avoid any delays. We are so grateful to them both and will think of them again when we - or anyone we know- is looking for a realtor. read more

I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Steve and Lisa Haussler of Coldwell Banker Reality, Pasadena, who have demonstrated unwavering support and dedication throughout this process during one of the most challenging periods in my life. Their dedication and compassion during this time spoke volumes about their character and commitment, both personally and professionally. After a devastating fire destroyed our home in Altadena, leaving us in a state of uncertainty and distress, we were in dire need of support. It was during this tumultuous time that we turned to Steve and Lisa, even though they were coping with their own loss in the fire. Their willingness to also take on ours exemplifies their extraordinary kindness and selflessness. Steve and Lisa approached our search for a new home with relentless energy and expertise. They did not just assist us in finding a property; they took the time to understand our needs and preferences, ensuring that we would find a home that was not just a roof over our heads, but a place where our family could create new memories. Based in the Altadena-Pasadena area, their knowledge of the real estate market expands far beyond our hometown. They provided insights and options throughout the broader region, which allowed us to explore various choices that truly fit our family's desires. They ultimately found us a beautiful home in the City of Glendora, a location that perfectly suited our desires. Even after the sale was completed and escrow closed, Lisa and Steve continued to support us. They provided invaluable assistance with post-sale items, going above and beyond to ensure that our transition was smooth and stress-free. Their post-sale guidance demonstrated their commitment to their clients does not end with the transaction; they genuinely care about ensuring that their clients are happy and settled. I cannot express enough how grateful we are for the support, dedication, and expertise that Lisa and Steve have shown us. Their work ethic, compassion, and tenacity set them apart in a way that makes them not just exceptional real estate professionals but also wonderful friends. I wholeheartedly recommend Lisa and Steve to anyone looking for not just incredible realtors, but truly remarkable people who are committed to helping others, no matter what the personal challenges they face. You will find more about them at haussler.com or at their office at Coldwell Banker Reality, 388 S. Lake Av. Pasadena, CA 91101. read more

We really can't say enough good things about Lisa and Steve Haussler. After our family lost our home in Altadena, selling our lot was one of the hardest things we've ever done. Steve and Lisa also lost their home in the Eaton Fire, and they truly understood how emotional and difficult that process was. They were tireless advocates from start to finish, and we always felt we were in capable hands. They genuinely had our family's best interests at heart. They're exceptional real estate professionals and even better people. We recommend them without reservation. read more

I had a fantastic experience working with Lisa and Steve as a first-time home buyer to purchase my new condo. I trusted them implicitly to provide me with honest counsel and to protect my interests throughout my house hunt and home buying process. Lisa and Steve vigorously advocated and negotiated on my behalf and expertly guided me through the inevitable surprises that arose during the transaction. Lisa and Steve were extremely communicative, insightful, and detail-oriented throughout our buyer-broker relationship. They are also just kind and wonderful people. I look forward to working with Lisa and Steve in my future real estate transactions and have already recommended them to my family and friends in the Greater Pasadena Area. read more

Steve and Lisa each have excellent qualities and skills that, when taken together as a real estate team, make for an amazing duo. They are there for the buyer at all times, providing expert guidance, knowledge, and a long list of resources that we were able to draw from. They were always able to get back to us in a timely manner with answers to our questions and helped us explore options in a patient and practical manner. You can count on them to provide an honest assessment of the property's pros and cons. We know from past experience (selling our first home and buying our second home in 1999) that they remain available for referrals for any house-related needs that arise for years to come. Finding and buying our third home after losing our last one in the Eaton fires could have been a daunting experience, but they made it as smooth and positive as possible through their empathy, knowledge and problem-solving skills. read more

Lisa and Steve are an absolute pleasure to work with, and we cannot thank them enough for helping us purchase our first home! The Hausslers were recommended to us by my parents who worked with Lisa and Steve to sell their previous home and purchase their current home. We feel so lucky that we had the opportunity to work with them as well. They were extremely detail oriented and attentive, and guided us through every step of the home buying process. After our first conversation, they immediately determined the type of house and area that we were interested in. Once we found our dream house, they helped us with everything from the offer to closing. They were always happy to answer our questions and give their expert advice when we needed it. The Hausslers are very organized and helped us complete every step of the process on or ahead of schedule. We absolutely adore our new home and we are beyond grateful to Lisa and Steve! read more

As a first time homebuyer in Los Angeles, the process was daunting and I didn't know what I didn't know. Luckily, a friend referred me to Lisa and Steve and I'm so happy she did. They were incredibly helpful, thorough and diligent throughout my entire home buying journey and effectively worked through unexpected bumps along the way. Their combined experience and expertise in the LA market is unbeatable and I look forward to working with them in future home purchases. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

A decade ago, after two unsuccessful starts with other realtors in the Pasadena area, I met Lisa at an Open House. We clicked! At that time, Lisa and Steve were so professional and trustworthy in guiding me through the home buying process. Ten years later there was no question who I would reach out to when it came time for me to relocate and sell that same home. Once again, they answered every one of my questions and provided market research to support their answers, prior to putting my home on the market. They provided guidance and resources for staging, inspections, open houses etc. They were always available every step of the way. It means so much to me to have a team of folks that you can trust and that you know has your best interest in mind. This was reinforced time and time again as other professionals (other realtors, the escrow company, the stagers, etc) I encountered also indicated how much they liked working with the Hausslers. Professionalism, integrity and kindness --- three amazing qualities that the Haussler's possess. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the experience that I had with Lisa and Steve Haussler in selling my home. They masterfully navigated this complex process and made it easily digestible to me, turning what could've been a very complicated and stressful experience into an enjoyable, profitable, and speedy process. They kept me fully in the loop and engaged throughout the process while utilizing technology to minimize any headache from the mountain of paperwork involved. I fully intend to engage them again the next time I buy or sell a home. They started the process by reviewing all my options with concise data from the neighborhood and similar homes, then advised on what the best return on investment would be. Once I made the decision to go with them all the documents required for signing were sent to me online for easy digital signature. Any questions I had about the documents they patiently and thoroughly explained so I knew at all times what I was signing and why I was signing it. When it came to the open houses Steve and Lisa expertly staged the house with the furniture I already had and brought in a few accessories to really make each room stand out. Since I was living in the house at the time they also worked within my schedule and consistently communicated with me about any open house or special showing. When the multiple offers started rolling in as a result of their hard work they came over and reviewed each offer with me and we determined the short list of offers we'd counter and then helped me pick a final buyer. Once a buyer was chosen they continued to help me navigate through the escrow process, ensuring I was informed about any inspections or visits from the new buyers. I could not have asked for a better experience selling a home and was continually impressed with their professionalism and willingness to help with whatever questions or concerns I had during the process from start to finish. If you are planning to buy or sell a home, do yourself a favor and go with the Hausslers. It'll be one of the best decisions you can make when navigating buying or selling a home. read more

Having been acquainted with the Hausslers since they assisted my sister and brother-in-law's first real estate transaction, over 30 years ago, and a few others since that time, this was personally my third real estate experience with them. I was impressed with Lisa's knowledge of the market and excellent trade contacts. The Hausslers are a great team who make selling and/or leasing property easy and simple, this one being a particularly emotional sale. They let us know what to do, what to expect, and fortunately there were no snags, delays or setbacks. Lisa and Steve have always been, and were especially in this instance, always available to answer questions and offer assistance for virtually everything having to do with this transaction. They are a wealth of information and knowledge in every area of real estate and home ownership. I count myself blessed to know them. read more

Lisa and Steve were so wonderful to work with! It was my husband and my first time buying a home and they were both so knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. As first time homebuyers, we wanted to find someone we could really lean on for advice and trust. We're so lucky to have been referred to Steve & Lisa! We cannot imagine going through this process again with any other agent. Steve & Lisa took the time and effort to get to know us and understand our priorities and preferences. They took genuine interest in finding the perfect home for us and we cannot be any happier. They were honest in their opinions, pointed out things we would not have thought about, and guided us through the offer and closing process. Even after closing, Steve & Lisa followed up with us and helped us find great contractors. Steve & Lisa genuinely care about their work and it was such a pleasure working with them. We felt incredibly reassured from start to finish and cannot recommend them enough. read more

Steve and Lisa are INCREDIBLE! I had tried working with several agents before finding them, but never felt comfortable enough to move forward. It was a completely different experience as soon as Steve and Lisa came into the picture - they made sure I was informed, comfortable and supported at each step of the process. I can't recommend them enough! read more

A few weeks back, we sold our house - our first - with the help of Lisa and Steve, and reflecting back, continue to be thrilled and thankful for the thoroughness, dedication, professionalism, and sheer joy and friendliness throughout. Even though Lisa and Steve were recommended to us by friends who also had a great experience with them, we met with a few agents to make a decision; this was our first time selling, and we needed a trusted, dedicated resource. Lisa and Steve came in more prepared, more ready, and simply more personable than anyone else (a high bar in the Pasadena area), and kept up the level of involvement throughout. From planning towards showing the house, managing actual open houses and visits, to an eye for photos, gardening, and a myriad of other things we wouldn't have thought to, their commitment dazzled us through the entire process. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that both are well connected and established with the city and the community as a whole. We still lived in the house during showings, and here too, we found the Hausslers to be super understanding. Lisa and Steve researched, unearthed, and then helped perfectly resolve a number of hurdles that we would have gotten burned on, and we ultimately sold the house with and through their help. Moving is an emotional ride - especially for a first house - and having 2 virtual friends onboard to see you through the process is amazing. We literally and figuratively couldn't have done it without Lisa and Steve, and would heartily recommend (and work with them again) anytime! read more

Judging by the reviews, perhaps I caught them on an 'off' day or perhaps we just didn't click as personalities. I went to one of their open houses and got a cursory greeting from Lisa. We began a brief conversation but the instant she got a text, she looked down at her cell and kept reading as if I weren't even there. No 'sorry,' no ' just a sec.' Anway, I was taken aback by this but I just moved on through the house and Steve (I guess - I only know from his photo since he didn't say hello or introduce himself either) was wandering around glued to his cell. I went back to try again to talk with Lisa but she again got distracted by someone in the driveway. As a prequalified, serious buyer, I wasn't there as a looky-loo. I thought the house was lovely but the brush-off I got from the realtors was unfortunate and a turnoff. Onward. read more

Lisa and Steve Haussler are fantastic agents. They helped me since day one, when I landed in their office following a friend's recommendation. I still remember when Steve told me "We will find you a beautiful house" and today, after I bought my house, I am really proud and happy to say that the dream came true. And I really need to thank Lisa and Steve for this. I should also say that they helped me not only to find my new house, but also in the process of settling in. I asked them for recommendations for a flooring specialist, a painter and electrician. Lisa gave me the three names promptly and..oh, I was so happy with her suggestions ! The three contractors did a wonderful job in the time we had agreed upon and within the initial estimate. Thank you, Lisa and Steve !!!! read more

I wish to recommend Steve and Lisa Hausler, Real Estate Agents for Coldwell Banker. They did a simply outstanding job helping my husband and I to find a home in the Pasadena/Altadena area. They're knowledge of the area was extensive, almost almost encyclopedic, and their customer service is superb. They listened intently to our needs and desires, found listings that were in line with our budget that met our wish list criteria and were available and helpful throughout every step of the purchase process. They made the experience of home search and home buying as painless and efficient as possible. I truly can't say enough good things about them. They are just wonderful to work with! read more

I have used Lisa and Steve twice. Once to sell my Mom's house, and five years later for my own house. They are amazing. Selling/moving is a daunting experience with so many moving parts, but they make it as easy as possible. Both times I reached out to them, mostly to get an idea on how to proceed. They come equipped with comps and all sorts of useful information. They helped me figure out what needed to be done to get the houses ready for sale and even set up me up with contractors/service people when needed. They gave me a framework to proceed and without that, I probably would have just procrastinated for months. I also appreciated how they would listen and respect me if there was something I did or did not want to do. After we signed the contract they got someone in to take beautiful pictures and someone else to create a floor plan. They also created a wonderful website for the listings. Both times the houses sold quickly, and they stayed on top of everything every step of the way. They are organized and proactive. Both houses sold quickly and easily. Both houses closed escrow within about 2 months from the first time I contacted them. Realtors all charge the same amount, but Lisa and Steve really put so much effort into the job! read more

Steve and Lisa Haussler are an extraordinary team of agents. In the last year they represented us first as sellers and then as buyers and we couldn't be happier with how things went. Thanks to them, we've moved our family into a home we'll be excited to live in for years to come. We met the Hausslers at an open house they were holding in our old neighborhood. At the time, we were just considering how to sell our house. Right away, Steve keyed in to what we were planning, what we needed, and what our best path forward was. In days, they had a thorough plan for how we should proceed and they were by our side the whole way. Lisa is tireless, and her response times for even simple questions is impressive. Together, they are responsive, supportive, and thorough. They're wonderful people who inspire confidence that the crazy, stressful process that is buying and selling a home in this market can be a positive experience. Thanks, Steve & Lisa! It was a pleasure to work with you, and we're so happy with how everything turned out! read more

I am thrilled to recommend Steve and Lisa Haussler as outstanding client-focused realtors with an extensive knowledge of real estate in the Northeast Los Angeles, Pasadena and Altadena areas. Steve and Lisa were our agents when my husband and I bought our first home in Eagle Rock in 2009. Throughout the years, we stayed in touch. They gave us great advice about renovations we were considering and referrals for contractors to work with as we updated our home. As we begin to consider a larger home, Steve and Lisa were always willing to help us view homes on the market. In February, they helped us orchestrate a complex offer to buy our next home and list our current one in an extremely competitive market. The whole process of upgrading to a new home had been so daunting, we considered not doing it at all. However, in Steve and Lisa's capable hands, we felt completely taken care of at every step of the way. Lisa made herself available to us all the times of day and night. She is a positive, tireless force and a clear and direct communicator. We ended up with multiple offers above asking on our current home and Lisa helped navigate the timing so beautifully that it almost felt easy. When everything "falls into place" with Steve and Lisa, it is because of the endless amounts of work they put in behind the scenes to make things run smoothly for their clients. I could not recommend them more highly. read more

I saw a listing under Steve's name and called his number. I was surprised when someone else picked up the phone, identifying herself as Lisa. I asked for Steve, since the listing was under his name. She said she could help me and she did answer a few questions, and after 5 minutes or so, said she had to attend another meeting. She didn't ask for my contact info to continue our conversation. She seemed impersonal, unfriendly. I will find a different, more friendly realtor. read more

My husband and I had the pleasure working with Lisa and Steve Haussler on the purchase of our first home. Lisa and Steve do all of the things that make them great agents; they pre-visit properties, pull permits, know the market, and were ready to advise us every step of the way. We never felt rushed to make a decision hastily with them and they were knowledgeable about every step of the home buying process. In fact, they would advise us to pass on places that they thought would not meet our needs, or, with this competitive market, going for a price that they thought we could do better.  They made it seem effortless how they were so in-tune with what we wanted.   They advised us to consider listings we usually would not, leading us ultimately to the house we purchased.    From the start of our submitting the offer to the closing we knew they were fighting for us, providing the advice we needed and paying attention to every detail. They provided excellent recommendations on inspectors, landscapers and even designers.  We never felt pushed, but instead that we were getting great advice from wise friends. Even after we closed, they continue to follow-up on our behalf which goes to show how much they care about their clients.   They are not just superb agents who always act with integrity, but kind, intelligent, thoughtful people.   We truly feel lucky that they represented us.    Home buying can be very overwhelming, especially if you are a first-time buyer like we were.  Lisa and Steve's expertise, responsiveness, and honesty every step of the way made the process significantly less daunting.  I would wholeheartedly use them again for any future home buying or selling needs. read more

Steve and Lisa are amazing! within just a few days of putting our house on the market, we received 12 offers and sold it for $300k over asking price. Their marketing, photographer and virtual tour was impressive. They were extremely responsive to all of our questions and walked us through each offer. We couldn't have worked with a more professional team. We highly recommend them and we couldn't be happier with the process and end result. read more

Selling real estate for over 31 years and I can tell you that you will find no better agent than Steve Haussler. I cannot say enough good things about Steve and Lisa Haussler. They sold my late mother's house in nine days for well above the asking price, to just the right buyer. Their marketing skills are unparalleled, as are their knowledge of the local market, their skill at envisioning how to show the house to best advantage, and their ability to attract the most qualified buyers. But beyond that, it was a pleasure to work with them. They are truly wonderful and caring people, and their ability to explain and advise as needed made the whole process far less intimidating and confusing than it otherwise might have been. The absolute icing on the cake was that they know everyone in the business and they also know the best people to get things done. They managed the preparation of the house for sale -- painting, flooring, landscaping, cleaning, and staging, without a hitch, and they did it while I, the seller, was in another state a thousand miles away. Their communication was awesome and their efficiency truly phenomenal. I recommend Steve and Lisa wholeheartedly and without any hesitation. read more

My husband and I have worked with Steve and Lisa on several transactions, most recently the purchase of our new home in June. The search for our new home was a long one because we weren't entirely sure what we wanted to focus on. Throughout the process, Steve and Lisa helped us focus (and re-focus when we changed direction) on what our needs and wants were and ultimately, they helped us find our beautiful new home. What I have always appreciated about working with them is their professionalism and attention to every detail of the transaction. In addition to advising us on every aspect of the somewhat complicated transaction, their proactive approach ensured that we closed on-time. They also have extensive knowledge of professionals of every kind to meet every need (floor specialists, general contractors, appliance repair, etc.). Buying and selling a home can be an incredibly stressful experience. Steve and Lisa make it seem easy. They are delightful to work with and we could not be happier with our (many) experiences with them! Thank you! read more

You couldn't ask for a better team to have on your side wether you are buying or selling a home. We've done both with them! Personally they are two incredible people to know, professionally they are amazing. I always felt secure based on their knowledge and dedication to each of our transactions. Selling our house was a little harder because we had raised two babies in it and had to now go though this process with them which added extra work. Steve and Lisa once again took the time to make what could of been a big burden, a very stress-free process. I highly, highly recommend them! read more

I cannot give a higher recommendation than Steve and Lisa Haussler as real estate professionals. As a Co-Trustee, I was tasked with selling a property long-distance and relied on Steve and Lisa to literally be the eyes and ears to my Co-Trustee, multiple beneficiaries and me through every step of the way. They guided us with humor and grace and things could not have gone more smoothly! I don't just attribute this to the depth and breadth of their expertise in the Altadena market or to their years as real estate professionals (which they have in abundance), but really to who they are as people. Their ethical standards, care and advocacy for me and the Trust as their clients never missed a beat. Their attention to details and willingness to go above and beyond always made me feel they "had my back!" Examples: 1)At my request, they stepped in and helped me deal with a long-term tenant in the house gracefully and compassionately. 2)They always gave me a range of options for work that needed to be done to the house to enhance the sellability - negotiating a fair price with their trusted subcontractors and generally "project-managed" every single detail. The house shined like a jewel at the end even though it had been extremely neglected for years. 3)Their communication with me was impeccable - always making sure to get prior approval, keeping me up to date, always answering their phone (even when they probably shouldn't have) and never making me feel any question was a dumb question....and there were many!! 4) When the time came, they helped my Co-Trustee and me evaluate, strategize and select the best offer from several. I will say that I now know how lucky we were with Steve and Lisa. The Trust is in the process of selling another house in another market with another realtor who is now in the unfortunate position of having me compare them to Lisa and Steve (and sometimes find them wanting!) Oh well, they can't all be as awesome! read more

Everything about the service we got from Steve and Lisa was top-notch, starting with the purchase of our home in 2003 going all the way up to its sale in 2013. Steve is like the House Whisperer -- he really knows architecture and has a great sense for which people belong with which houses! His depth of knowledge about the houses and neighborhoods of Pasadena and Altadena is impressive. Lisa is a crack negotiator - honest, tough, and thorough. We are nervous about our next purchase in a very competitive market, but with these two on our side we know that we will get the respect from sellers' agents and the good counsel that we will really need. We have several friends who've also used them through multiple transactions who'd tell you the same. read more
