Devin did a great job upgrading the radio in my 15 year old Hyundai Santa Fe. Great customer service and took extra time to thoroughly check me out on all the new features in the Elite unit. Clean install and on time delivery! Highly recommend! read more

I came in and after being greeted I said I would like to purchase an audio set. They said the salesman would be right out and when he did she said I wanted some audio for my minivan and he then helped the lady who came in after me. I left and waited outside but no one wanted to help. I heard good reviews about this store. Unfortunate that they have horrible customer service. I went to my car to locate another store but after 10 minutes a staff person came and stood in front of my car facing me while he vaped. I'm sure that was intimidation to leave so, I did. read more

BAIT and SWITCH?? Hmmmm I contacted S&VC for a window tint. I told them I wanted Limo on all except driver and passenger windows. I was told a quote of $350. The time was done well. When I picked up the car the total was $380, I questioned, and they said it was due to the limo. I told them I mentioned this when I got the original quote. The guy said oh they made a mistake; the problem was that it was the same person I spoke with the entire time. Did they need some extra beer money. I don't think they was honest for them to raise the price. So, buyer BEWARE!! read more

I have given stereo & video center business a few times now and every time they have problems. Today was my last straw with them though. I went in on Monday and showed the manager my screen and let him look at it to make sure it would work with my truck so of course he said it would work so I made an appointment. Fast forward to this morning I dropped off my truck I get all the way home and get a call saying the screen will not work. So I drive all the way back into town to pick up my truck no big deal. But they want to charge me 85$ for "labor" and saying they wouldn't give me my keys if I didn't pay that fee. Mind you my truck has been dropped off for all of 20-25 minutes. So after arguing for a while I don't really have any choice but to pay this extremely ridiculous labor fee for doing absolutely nothing but looking at a cord and saying "oh yeah this won't work now pay us 85$ for that". While the confrontation was going on the young lady working the desk kept chiming in and being very rude and making un needed comments trying to escalate the situation and being very unprofessional and throwing my keys on the table being very dramatic after I was the one being screwed over and scammed! I WOULD NOT recommend this place as they will act helpful at first but will just scam you for more and more money if you aren't careful!!!!! *** Editing this review. If I could give them 0 stars I would! They didn't even put my buttons back the right way. I have my air bag notification popping up on my dash because they were to lazy to hook it up correctly. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Stereo & Video Center - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Tyler, Texas

Don't let these guys install anything in your vehicle. They do not know what gauge wiring to use for quality amps. I supplied them with all the correct wiring to install my amps and subwoofers, they chose not to use it but didn't tell me until I picked up my vehicle. They not only used the wrong gauge wiring, but they wired my subwoofers to 1 ohm impedance which my amps were not rated. They effectively destroyed my amp which is now out of warranty. They accepted fault but refused to cover the cost to fixing the wiring and replacing the amp. They only reimbursed me the cost for their shotty install. read more

Customer service at its best! The owner, Dennis, and Steven (Manager?) were awesome. These guys coordinated the install of my custom surround sound, and I couldn't be more pleased. Great owner, manager, and install team. Professionalism, and reasonable pricing will bring me back to Stereo & Video Center for any future projects. read more

This is our third trip to Stereo Video Center. We are waiting in their video TV room as we have another video and XM radio installed. Every job has been completed with complete satisfaction with service and quality installations. Our first install was to get XM Sirius in our Jeep. Got a JVC unit with a satellite module add-on. The second trip was to a replace a failing XM module on a Lexus. The new unit needed an adapter (in stock), and it now works flawlessly. The third trip, we are waiting to have a three-camera backup system in a 30 foot motorhome and a satellite upgrade too. We expect to have equally good results this time too. read more

They did a great job on a smart radio install. Quick and efficient!!! Price was great. A little under what car toys quoted me in DFW. They were very knowledgeable and friendly even tho it was crazy busy. Would definitely use them again. I will probably bring my cars to have the windows tinted. read more

They FAR exceeded my expectations!!! I went to the store Fri. morning needing a new TV and receiver. Dennis was at my home within the hour to see what was needed. Om Monday the new equipment was here and installed. WOW what service! The fellas that did the installation were extremely caring and conscientious. They were truly professional yet very personable. I was pleased to have them in my home! Kudos and my sincere gratitude to all at Stereo & Video Center. I HIGHLY recommend them and will do business with them again. Have no idea why it shows me in CA. I live in Flint, TX read more

Tim is very knowledgeable regarding installation and finding electrical problems with my car. Thank you Tim, you are the best in town.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. Had an Alpine radio installed and was back every week for two months straight with an issue! Paid over a thousand dollars for the dash kit and radio and had a problem with both. The dash kit caused me to be STRANDED multiple times because it drained my car battery and was not wired properly. And after everything they blamed it on the type of car that i had! The only good that came out of this was that i was able to get my full refund and i WONT be back and i won't recommend this place to anyone! Spend your money somewhere else! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. I bought a pair of car speakers from here, and was blown away by everything of the sale. The salesman was awesome. I could tell he literally just wanted to make me happy with any purchase I would be making. He then quickly installed my speakers for free on the spot right after I purchased them. The salesman was the best salesperson I've ever dealt with in any service. I wish I would have remembered his name. I would've payed twice as much somewhere else, and it would've taken hours. It took approximately 30 mins tops to listen to different speakers, choose one, install them, and then pay. Awesome place. read more

Seth, James, & Billy went above and beyond my expectations. Chuck Norris has nothing on these cats when it comes to customer service. Go here. Buy stuff. Be happy. Feel good. Your eyes and ears will thank you for it. read more

If you need a custom quality system for your car or home look no further. Have been in quite a few homes with custom theatre rooms, sonos systems, and outdoor systems that were all top notch. I was also recently demoed a car audio install in one of the managers 2013 Truck that rivals any competition setup I have ever heard. read more

These guys are awesome! I have been buying from Dennis and his team for several years and they are the best. Always helpful, courteous and competitively priced. Don't waste time at the big box stores. Buy local and support small business people that support our community. read more

You failed...I came in to purchase a car audio unit and no one, I mean no one asked if I needed assistance. Money must mean very little to these people unless you are buying Home Theater Systems. This isn't the first time they have "pissed" me off. The first time was in 1985 (Logview), thought I would give them a second chance. There will not be a third chance. read more

I'm seldom impressed these days but Tim and his crew did an outstanding job installing a Kenwood A/V system in my 2017 Tacoma which replaced the crappy Toyota Entune System. I'm very happy with the product and the personal support provided. read more

Very freindly staff, treats you like part of the family. This is my third custom build and have not been disappointed at all. Would recommend to any and everyone. read more

I recommend Stereo and Video Center wholeheartedly. I basically rebuilt a house on my ranch and contracted someone to install an audio system. I was sorely disappointed, but upon recommendation of my builder, went to Dennis Mortis at Stereo and Video. He was extremely helpful--especially considering he was cleaning up after some one who dropped the ball--and very reasonable. I subsequently had them do some work on my wifi system and am very pleased with all the work they did.. 5 stars is not enough! read more
