This place is awesome!! I seriously injured my shoulder in July 2023. I started PT here in August, and have been going twice a week. Finally I had surgery to repair the damage, and continued with PT. I've mostly worked with Jordan, but also worked with Brooke. They are both phenomenal! They're encouraging, very personable, and very knowledgeable. Also the front desk staff is compassionate and very competent. This has been a very long process, but coming here regularly has made it better than bearable. I was having a lot of pain in my knee and hip, and did not want to go the steroid and pain killer route, so I decided to take the physical therapy route. I liked what I saw about Steppin Up on their TV ads. They seemed very personal and positive, which was exactly what I was looking for. Plus, my health insurance covered them! Bonus!!! I called and got set up for therapy. At my initial visit I was carefully evaluated for pain and mobility. Two therapists moved my leg and knee in various positions, asking me about the degree of pain I was experiencing. Very thorough exam. I was then assigned a therapist on my next visit, and stayed with that therapist throughout my care. I liked that a lot, because I was able to form a patient/therapist relationship with her. She was compassionate and understanding, but always challenged me to do my best. After each session, Lauren sent exercises to me on email. I could view videos of the exercises for home care, which was part of the therapy. I also had the option of getting print outs if I wanted. After about a month of therapy, I was evaluated again for progress. My progress was such that my visits were reduced from twice a week to once a week. After seven weeks I was discharged, with instructions to continue doing my home care three times a week. I was VERY impressed with this Steppin Up facility, and I would especially extend my compliments to my therapist, Lauren Cliffton. Lauren helped me not only with my knee and hip pain, but also with balance. She was always in a great mood, always willing to help and encourage me, and was a great listener. I would definitely recommend Steppin Up to anyone who is looking for physical therapy, because I can report that my knee and hip pain are gone! On July 20, 2018 I fell and broke my wrist requiring surgery. I chose Steppin' Up Physical Therapy. Actually I didn't even consider another facility. My previous therapist Jordan Tait recommended James LaRowe Occupational Therapist due to the nature of my injury. I was a mess my first visit... still coping with pain and unable to pull up my own pants. Jimmy immediately acknowledged my pain and while talking about a treatment plan began phonophoresis. He also recommended a book about pain Why Do I Hurt? (about the neuroscience of pain) by Adriann Louw. I believed I 'was not' going to succeed at rehabilitating my wrist... until Jimmy changed my thinking and attitude and I started believing that although painful I could do this! If my mind can conceive it and my heart can believe it then I can achieve it! Jimmy is a good listener and he has been great at educating me about the anatomy of the wrist as well as providing me with an at home exercise plan. I am currently in week 6 of therapy and I am so happy that I made the choice to get help... if I wasn't part of a team with my therapist I would not have come as far as I have with my rehabilitation. My name is Annette Kelley, this is my 5th time back. This time I was in a car, accident hit and run dealing with back issues. My Doctor sent me to another Physical Therapy place ,I won't mention any names. I was not pleased with them, I felt like I was doing it all by myself. The person kept disappering and I didn't get no results. This time I told my Doctor I wanted to go to Steppin up He said yes BOY WAS I HAPPY. Pamela is still that nice and friendly people person and she has a very good memory. She remembered my name and she rembered my sign in number WOW THATS AWESONE keep up the good work little bit. It was my turn to go in, I met Jerad he was very nice I was asking him questions about my back issue. Jerad anweed all my questions about my back issues. He broke it down so I can understand what he was saying to me. He educated me that day I was surprised. I always like to learn when it has to do with my health. Keep up the good work.The next week I had Randall, I really like him too. He said he had been there for a week and a half to me it seems like he has been working there for ever. He worked on my back he knew the right spots to work. He was there every step of the way and he cares about his patents keep up the good work my back is getting better and better thank you. Cat she is on it, when it's time for the heat on my back and the little square things she puts on my back, I don't know what you call them but, she puts them both on the right spot and it helps my back alot. She is vey nice and polite you go girl. Saving the best for last, Emily always smiling cheerful she don't play she don't take her eyes off of you when you are doing your exercise she got me a few times thats a good thingI always have fun with her somebody needs to change the 5 star to a 6 star because STEPPIN UP HAS PASSED THAT IT SHOULD BE A 6 STAR THANKS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO. read more
