Have lived in Arizona last two years and got a guest pass for two weeks. Really sad to see the gym go downhill like it has since I've been gone. Unclean facilities, overcrowded and lots of people with no feel. -People lifting bare feet and resting their feet on dumbbells in between sets -people vlogging on weight room floor (not everybody wants to be in the background of your video) - dirty bathrooms - blood on a foam roller - and much more. Sadly I've been told the DuPont location is the only location that gets updated equipment but also is overcrowded. Really nice staff. Love what they stand for and appreciate their support for first responders but at what point do I sacrifice a bad gym experience for their beliefs $40 for a two week guest pass is ridiculous

Sat down with Brad had a chat and decided to take the plunge. Best decision I have made in a very very long time. Tori has been amazing to work with. Tori has been on top of my nutrition and fitness and helping me understand how to manage that in an amazing way, she has always provided me with actionable items I can work on and guided me on how to manage my meals and relationship with food along with kicking my ass at the gym. Seriously though she has helped me tremendously on how to lift and work out effectively and correctly. She pushes me to always give my best and is a constant motivator. The sheer amount of knowledge on how to correctly manage nutrition and working out has been amazing and an eye opener. I could talk and talk and talk about all the amazing things this Gym is doing, but I'll end with a short personal journey: Before velocity my A1C (this determines if you are diabetic) was all over the place and was only in control due to meds like insulin, and when I worked out or played sports I would eventually injure myself due to bad form or doing things the incorrect way. After 12 weeks at Velocity - my blood sugar is the best shape it has been in a very long time (completely of insulin now), and I am having the best time working out I have ever had. The entire team at Velocity is amazing, everyone there is ready to help and work on helping me achieve my goals. So if you have made it this far in the review, what are you waiting for?

I love hot yoga!" I can't make hot yoga an everyday part of my practice, but every so often, I like to take a heated class to shake things up. My heated class this time happened at Fusion Yoga in Fort Wayne. First, I gotta give a shoutout to the owners for providing childcare. I have never seen such a thing at a yoga studio! I didn't have children with me, but several women in my class did, and I love that my sisters in yoga were able to practice for an hour in a space that welcomes kids, then kindly takes the children away so mom can focus on herself for a bit. What a wonderful thing to see, and it really set the mood for a nice class. Celeste was the instructor for my hot vinyasa flow class. She was great, and her class really kicked my butt. It was way more advanced than I thought it would be! In Celeste's class, I really challenged myself and did some things that I had never tried before, and I was happy with myself for keeping up with the class. The class was packed mat to mat, from the door to the front of the classroom, and a couple of times I had to focus on my breath so I wouldn't spiral from lack of fresh air (which can sometimes happen in a hot yoga class). But I made it the full hour, and was rewarded with that incredibly light and otherworldly feeling you only get after a hot yoga class. The studio itself was undergoing some renovations when I visited, so I didn't get to see much beyond the classroom and the lobby. They sell a lot of yoga paraphernalia, like yoga mats, clothing, and yoga mat cleaner that they make in-house.
