Not only do they sell these excellent round sourdough wholemeal and white loafs but also special flavoured bread, like walnut, garlic, rye & caraway seed etc. At only £2 a loaf or £2.50 a 'special' loaf this guy is cheaper that your, "high-end" supermarkets such as M&S and Waitrose. There is simply no comparison to the quality of Woodlea Bread. It is baked fresh every day, in an honest, traditional fashion. This is the real deal! Woodlea Stables is actually a functioning farm, mainly having free range chickens. This means you can stock up on wonderful free range eggs in addition to sacks of potatoes, freshly baked cakes and scones. In addition to the excellent pies, we thoroughly enjoyed the people we encountered. We decided on pies for everyone, chicken & leek, steak, and steak & haggis, with chips and mash. The steak was the clear winner: tender chunks of steak, perfectly seasoned and moist. While eating at the communal table, we had many lovely chats with locals, which - in addition to the great people taking orders - made our experience even more memorable. The same girl asked me to not drink it inside the cafe since the drink was not purchased from them.
