My family and I are road-tripping from CA to CO to visit our home state. While in Mesquite, our check engine light came on and we got the diagnostic code from Auto Zone. We didn't know if we could make it back home, let alone CO for our trip. We decided to take it to this Chevy dealership in St. George to ask their thoughts and see if they could potentially help us get back on the road. Thankfully, our car is drivable, but lacks some of the power to really move. Everyone we spoke with was so helpful! I bought a used truck ('10 Ford) from them that had their "gold standard" inspection or whatever they call it, only to get the vehicle back to Vegas where I live (yes drove several hours to purchase) and have it leave me stranded far from home. After fighting to return the vehicle for possibly another. I get a second truck home (yes after driving back again) 2018 f250 this time oooo nice right? My husband and I have purchased a couple of cadillacs from Stephen Wade and always found them to be easy to work with, this time we brought our Cadillac in for service and I saw one beautiful car, a Camaro Convertible 2024. This is the last year for those cars and I was interested in owning one. Ashley Perry was the salesperson who helped me through all my indecision and was patient and kind. The end of the story is I decided not to purchase the car and when I called Ashley to let her know she was nothing but grateful that we came in and spoke with her, she never high pressured us or gave us the idea that she was only interested in her commission. My husband needed a neutral safety switch and it needed to be a Chrysler part because he'd changed it twice with a auto zone part and was still getting a check engine light. No dealership had this part in California and believe me I tried. This dealership had 3 of these. My highest accolades goes to Erin in parts and how he helped me with this. Bought a used 2015 Escape and the engine blew a head. Dealer has not fixed it. And has offered to replace engine if I pay for part of it. Cost is around $6500. And Kevin the GM wants me to pay 2500. After doing some poking around I heard that something happened to the car while it was waiting to be sold. I heard from a salesperson that the Escape was getting some minor repairs to the front end. Sounds all fishy to me and now I'm out of a car after having it for 2 and a half months. They need to own up to this and take care of it. My 2015 Jeep wranglers timing chain went out, so I took it to Stephen Wade Jeep / Chrysler to have it repaired. I had 167,140 miles on the original engine and timing chain. There rep. suggested I put a new engine in it do to the fact everything behind the new timing chain would be old and week! So, I agreed to have the new engine installed, and it came with a 3yr/ 100,000-mile warranty. But just at 29,957 miles on the new engine it failed!! So, I take it back to Stephen Wade Jeep to have it fixed or replaced under warranty! They removed the intake cover and said they found dirt and water in the intake so they would not honor the warranty, First I do not run the Jeep through rivers or lakes! Second, I do not rock climb with my Jeep. So, the only way dirt and or water got into the intake was through there negligence not mine or the local garage who I have change my oil and rotate my tires and air filter. So, they refused to honor my warranty and wanted to charge me for them having to remove the intake $697! We drove two hours to look at a vehicle they advertised on line. The carfax showed it to be in great shape. When we arrived they had to find the vehicle. It wasn't waiting like they said it would be. When they finally pulled it out front, my wife and could hear the level ride suspension compressor trying to keep one shock full. When we started to take it for a drive the front end made a lot of noise and didn't feel right. I had to ask at least five times what their techs found when they inspected it. The only answer I got was that the vehicle was safe and it would t be for sale if it wasn't. Once back at the dealership we had to ask three more times for their inspection report. While we waited they just decided to make an appraisal on our truck and undervalued by $3000. When we finally got to look at their inspection report it showed that the vehicle needs approximately $10k worth of work to make it safe. Yet they kept insisting of it wasn't safe they wouldn't have for sale. Don't shop here. We didn't feel they were all that honest with us. read more

I have always owned Chevy vehicles and have been a loyal customer. The service department at this dealership is the sole reason I will NEVER purchase another Chevy in my life! What's even sadder is their sister company the Toyota dealership in town treats me like a queen when I bring my commuter car in for service. I have a MUCH nicer Chevy but because it's not "brand new" I don't deserve to be treated decent. I brought my car in fully detailed and received it back from an oil change clearly left out in the rain all night and spotted up! My vehicle has NEVER been in the rain before!!! I have never posted an online review before but felt I needed to create an account just to be able to warn others about this company. I ordered some parts from the Chevy website and had them delivered here for installation. Luckily I was able to pay for the labor through the Chevy site so I got a fair price. While getting the work done I ordered a bed cover for my truck. I asked for a labor quote on installation and was told it was a very complicated process and would take around seven hours costing $1050 in labor. I am not the most mechanically inclined person but this seemed a little excessive to me so I opted to take the cover with me and try to install it myself. It took me less than 40 minutes using only a screwdriver and a wrench. I have had friends tell me horror stories of this company price gouging on labor costs before but for some reason I didn't believe it. Their stories sounded too outlandish to be true. I am telling you they are true. If I hadn't seen it for myself I still wouldn't have believed it. If they hadn't tried to so blatantly and excessively gouge me I probably would have been a repeat customer. Everyone in the parts department is extremely friendly, accommodating and had great customer service skills but, the thought of them trying to do this to someone who is slightly less mechanicals savvy like my mother, wife or daughter is so utterly disgusting I have to give them one star. We are from Idaho Falls, Id. and were down in St. George for spring break. I have a new 2024 Chevy pick up and noticed the transfercase was dripping oil when we got down here so i decided to take it to the dealer to simply get it topped off with oil so we could make it home. I pulled into the quick service lane and explained all it needed was the transfercase oil check and topped off so i could drive home. they proceeded to say they might be able to get it in to do that in a day or two and that they have cars stacked up outside waiting for a service and are two weeks out usually. They couldnt seem less interested in taking 15 min. to help me out so i could head home. I have heard alot of bad things about Stephen Wade here in st george and now i know why. i understand being busy and having a list of cars waiting but all i needed was the oil checked and maybe a half quart of oil added to get me home 8 hours, i wasnt asking them to fix it! needless to say i stopped by the jiffy lube on red cliffs and they pulled it right in topped it off and wouldnt even let me pay!! read more

We're not from the area. This dealership may be great if you are purchasing or getting a tuneup but if you have an emergency they over promise and under deliver. We lost the keys to our truck at Lake Powell, had to have it towed all the way to St George. Were originally told they could rekey it first thing upon opening (7:30am). We called multiple times and were told it would be a priority. Each time they acknowledged our urgency since we had to get back to Idaho for appointments but the action didn't reflect the words. I was about 2,500 miles from home when I thought that my 2019 Chevy Colorado had a serious problem. Lots of clunking from the passenger side rear tire. Thought either suspension or something worse. Brought it to Stephen Wade. Fortunately, it wasn't serious - but a fluke! A small rock/pebble was stuck near the leaf springs and prevented the springs from properly flexing. The pebble/rock was very tough to see, so I credit Tony, the Mechanic, for sticking with it to find it and Mitch - the service manager who helped me - for finding time to fit me in to the schedule at 730am. On July 31 my suburban broke down 3 miles from this dealership. After making it here safely, I had to get my own rental because according to the dealership "this was sleepy southern Utah and not Orange County" (where were from). It was a faulty fuel pump and I was told that it could take a week or a month and we don't know. I was also told that I could tow the truck home at my own expense and that the dealership couldn't do anything for me... pathetic. They didn't even bother looking up the protection plans that I have with my warranty or my On Star plan. My local dealership was able to get me into a loaner and had my truck delivered to my home when this dealership "couldn't do anything for me". Now I am told that my rental and our unexpected hotel stay won't be covered because I didn't call GM. I believe Chevrolet represents GM don't they. Someone will pay for this. read more

They Did minimal diagnostics w/ ECU and said they couldn't find anything. I asked if they did pressure testing for leaks and Ken let me know that aside from The $137 of finding nothing wrong except my car still misfires and throws codes, Ken said he'd have to charge additional to do the smoke test and actually find the problem. Wow, this place is kind of amazing. My car isn't fixed yet but every single interface with anyone has been a complete delight! These people understand communication and keeping people happy. Our car broke down on the freeway. It's Saturday. We called and they got us in to run a diagnostic and get things going. They found a problem but had to order a part. Anyway, that all happened within less than an hour. We were offered pizza, donuts, coffee, a place to sit inside (which is clean and marble and awesome!). We even got to take our dog inside with us. They try thier best to give you good customer service but it's not whole heartily. I bought a car from them. One time I lost my keys so went to get spare key from Stephen wade. When I got into my car the alarm went off. I couldn't turn it off so I call Stephen Wade they said they couldn't help me and was yelling at me that I didnt follow instructions. I followed exactly what they told me and the guy was so rude and arrogant that made me feel like there's nothing they could do. I was in tears. It got resolved by some bystander who knew how to stop it. I went back to Stephen wade another guy there who helped me fixed the problem within 30 sec. I wish I remembered his name he was nice looking fella with white hair. Months later since I bought this car from them I had free oil change deal. I also had engine light on and to see what it was. I made appointment with them Friday morning, They changed the oil but couldnt check engine light it was 4pm before I could pick up the car they asked if I can bring the car on Tuesday morning. That time I needed shuttle service. When I arrived Tuesday morning I waited for shuttle service for 1.5 hours. I finally told them I need to get home because my babysitter needed to go. So they had me try to fit in a old mini van with 6 other people. I did not understand why they had to cram all of us in when we should be respecting social distancing. I was not comfortable with situation it seems unprofessional and I walked away. Told the driver please take those people home first. I called friends to see if anyone is as available because most people are at work. Finally one of my friends happens to be available finally got picked up so I can get home to my kids. They called early afternoon to inform me what going on with my car i asked them when my car can be picked up they said 4. So my husband went over after his work at 4pm to pick up the car, the car wasnt ready and my husband waited till 5:45pm to finally take our car. Auto Repair Service: Incompetent and rude was my impression of them when everything was working at it's best. When their poor record keeping and unaccountable behavior cost me an additional $500 I felt inspired me to write my first review of anything ever. I will never use them again. I brought my car in to have the air conditioning AC worked on. It was covered under a 3rd party warranty after we paid the deductible. This is my family's only car and they had the car for a week because they took way too long to submit a request for a payment. They gave us the car back but the air conditioning still did not work. It would shut off after running for a bit. My wife took the car again. The mechanic asked if it was working right now and she said it was so he refused to take it. He told us to drive it around more and bring it back if the problem persisted. He was also very condescending to my wife and asked if she "remembered to push the snowflake button." Because it is our only car, we don't drive it much, we don't live close to the dealer, we had just moved to town the week we brought it in, and the AC failure was hit or miss it took us about a month and half to bring the suburban back. Long story short when we brought it back they refused to believe that they had not fixed the AC the first time. They had no record of our second visit where we complained about their repair. And since they were fixing a piece that they hadn't tested the last time they claimed they fixed the car and that was a totally separate issue so we had to pay the diagnostic and deductible all over again. $500 dollars gone because their mechanic won't own the fact that he never fixed our car despite the fact that we told him so within a week of his claim to have done otherwise. read more

I have been using stephen wade chevy service for several years. I own a service business which requires vans. We have tried to use stephen wade for service but have come to a halt because of poor service. Even after 10 years and building relationships, i take my truck in for repairs and paid them over about $1000 for repairs. Get the truck back and a few days later have a new issue come up on the dash. I looked under the hood to see and found a tube that had been disconnected. I have called at least 6 times and left 3 to 4 messages for my service writer to call me back and he doesnt have time to give me a call back? And they know the situation that i need my vehicle right now. But they are too busy to fix one of their mistakes becuase they have so many new customers coming in that your business doesnt matter to them anymore. Poor service poor accountability and just plain horrible experience. This isnt the first time either. If you want to use this company plan on paying for their mistakes and waiting because they dont want your business. I bet that i get a call back now that they have a bad review. Absolutely Horrible Service! They replaced a part in my car in May, I took it back in, in August to have the same part repaired! I was told by Mitch it had to be replaced for $480. After they figured out it was the same part they had fixed only 3 months earlier, all the sudden the part could be "fixed" instead of replaced! Here I sit 30 days later. Same part, same problem! They are too busy, and have no loaner cars, no matter how long I wait! So, because I'm self employees and can't use their shuttle, I'm SOL! I bought a used car from these guys, agreeing to price on a long distance purchase. Before anyone goes, be advised that ALL of their fees including the etching fee are negotiable, and DO NOT PAY FOR ETCHING. I didn't. While I liked the car I bought, It was not disclosed that it had a window tint when I bought it (I couldn't tell from the pictures), and I asked to have it removed they tried to keep tacking on charges after we agreed to the price and I'd flown to pick it up. Horrible, insulting and degrading experience, treated like a second class citizen! To start, I bought a used Ford Fusion there about a year ago, the experience was ok, but I was not happy with the gas mileage, and it had been in a wreck they did not disclose, so I took the car in to see if I could trade it in on something more economical. I decided to look at a Sonata and a focus my salesman said was on the lot, this is when my families experience started to get insulting. After not finding the car in the parking lot, our salesman stated that we should wait there while he went into the back lot to look for the focus. We baked in the hot sun for 45 minutes! We felt like they had forgotten us, all we could do was watch two other salespeople make rounds back and forth in the lot for no apparent reason. Just when we were going to leave, out comes another sales guy. The new guy said our guy was hung up, he would help us, He also had a great car out front to show us, good news, I thought... We finally made it to the front of the building and there sat a late model Malibu, what is going on? The strange new salesman said that he thought this would be the fit for me! Confused about the bait and switch and seemingly being stereotyped for a person that can not afford a 9700.00 Ford focus when I had just purchased a 9500.00 fusion earlier that year, I could not understand why I was forced into this Malibu from the "back lot" on "special" for the day. I asked the fill in sales guy why he brought this out, he said it's perfect for me! ok I said, so the gas mileage is better then? it's get a mile a gallon better then your Fusion he said... Wow! that is when I realized just how badly I was being treated, that is when I said we were done here. Someone had decided what car I could afford, what car was best for me, and the rep was not interested in showing me the Sonata or the Focus at all! He just sat there staring at me, I guess he would rather drive the golf cart around the lot some more.. All this without looking at my credit or looking at the Fusion for trade. First, let me just say how much I HATE car shopping!!! I loathe pushy salesmen and the endless task of looking at different cars. Thanks to the fact that the Stephen Wade dealerships all have website. We were able to look at their inventory online. Thus, skipping the endless walking of the lots! After perusing the websites when it was convenient for us, we called to make sure that it was still available. The lady I spoke with said that it will definitely be there for us to look at and test drive when we come in. When we went in, they had sold the car we were interested in. Luckily, they had a similar car and were willing to give us the same incentives as the car we originally wanted. We worked with Brad Moon. He was very friendly and definitely not pushy! Which was a really nice! Unfortunately, it took a very long time to actually buy the car! We arrived just after 9am and left with our new car around 12:30. And after having our car for a couple days, we noticed that the tint on all the windows had air bubbles all over. We currently have it scheduled to be fixed. Overall, these guys are good to work with. But, there is always room for improvement! read more

Was passing through town and needed my SRX serviced. The team at Wade were able to get me in on a Saturday, completed the service promptly for a reasonable price. At my request they also checked out a funny noise coming from the power steering and added fluid for no charge. Their lounge was comfy with good WiFi, free drinks, and donuts!! ;-). Several folks checked in with me during the hour or so that I was there to make sure all my needs were met and keep me apprised of their progress. A+ read more
