What really impressed me is how much they listened and took my needs into account. As a nursing mother, some treatment paths are not ideal, and they were happy to direct a course of treatment that wouldn't interfere with my breastfeeding. Dr Imani and the nurses really listen and care about their patients. I will be back the next time someone in my family feels ill. I can't recommend enough; this was a truly positive experience despite my not feeling well. Great job!

I was really excited to meet with Dr. Mallick. He seemed like exactly what I was needed. I have chronic gut health issues (poor digestion, nausea, bowel issues) and he emphasized finding the root cause. This is just what I was looking for and after being so sick for 3 days, I booked a call with him. Looking back, I see similarities to my interaction on the call and the interaction we had in person. I scheduled the call, watched the linked video which looked good, he seemed to be the type of doctor I needed to truly heal. On the phone call itself, I briefly explained my issues and the call seemed a little bit rushed but I assumed he was busy, he is a doctor. I was handed to his receptionist and scheduled my appointment, he said to think of this first appointment as an interview. My husband, who took off for this appointment and my 1 year old son came with. The appointment begins and he talked a lot about the process, asked me some questions - but not with the intent to get to know me, understand, or to listen but because he was listening for the response he needed to decide whether to take me as a patient. During the appt, he told me he has ended consultations early in the past, once he learns that they are not the right fit for him. He asked many questions, some in repeat because he was making sure I was committed to his process and he made this very known. He seemed understanding of my son being there but when my son needed me for a moment (I was still listening, parents learn how to multitask) and said how "he will wait" before continuing. At the end of the appointment, he talked about the investment which for 4 months (which is what he recommended for me) it was $5600 and included everything such as supplements, future appointments, etc. When we started discussing financials, we felt pressure to sign up for their financing, apply right there, and we will be all set to start. We took time to privately discuss and I decided that I wanted to give Dr. Mallick the benefit of the doubt and asked if I can discuss some concerns with him. I didn't want to write him off without trying - this is about my health after all. I shared my concerns about how the interaction felt very different than I was expecting. I explained that I was seeking a human to human interaction, someone to truly listen to me, to take time to ask about what I was experiencing, and I asked for more transparency for what the treatment plan is which he doesn't usually share in detail as to not overwhelm the patient. He said he has had 3-4% of patients that would drop out of his process. He said "it's called vetting" to describe what his initial consultation is for. Reflecting back, I consider that a small percentage when the percentage of patients who likely walk away after this type of interaction are probably much higher. When I said that I was looking for someone to truly listen, he said "Didn't I listen when I was asking you questions about (XYZ)?". There is a difference between listening for the right response & truly listening to someone. He also said how the appointment can't be like "having a coffee and chatting". Which looking back, I feel that my concerns themselves were not only refuted but again, not truly listened to. We left without signing up for anything and I went home and sobbed and prayed to God for help. I felt like I would never find anyone to help me until, with the help of God's direction, I found Dr. Joel Miller, a functional medicine doctor that loves to serve and listen. Dr. Mallick, I hope you truly reflect on my feedback and the concerns that I see others have shared in the past. I also encourage others to read his responses to previous negative reviews.

My personal experience was this was the worst first-time visit I have ever had. I filled out the usual new patient paperwork and then was called back into see Gottlieb. When he saw my chart and inquired about a procedure I had done with a colleague of his in the industry, and I did not have glowing things to say about said colleague and my procedure, Gottlieb proceeded to chastise me for even showing up to see him for a simple ear cleaning. This Gottlieb guy felt he was so unworthy of being selected by me, a new patient, to choose him for a procedure cleaning when I could have just "gone to his idol instead," who, I may add, did a surgery on me that did not go well, was a complete failure, and made my condition worse, so why would I choose to go back to said provider that made my condition worse, or ever see him again? Read the room, dude. Were you really that clueless?? Apparently so. I have never in all my years of going to ear doctors (over 40 years) seen a man feel so inferior to his colleague at the sheer mention of his idol's name and then have the nerve to chastise a new patient for "choosing him" instead of just going back to this other colleague of his that he idolizes and feels a massive inferiority ego complex being mentioned in the same industry against. Total unprofessionalism; if he is that ego-sensitive to the sheer mention of his idol's name and anything negative mentioned about a patient's experience with said idol of his, which the patient has every right to say, as I did, he should not be dealing with patients in any form if he is that sensitive to a differing viewpoint that challenges his view. It's none of his business why a patient chooses to go to another provider, the reasons are many, and he shouldn't have questioned me for choosing him over another competitor of his. Honesty, It's none of his business, it is a choice who a patient chooses for medical care. I did not bring this conversation up initially and had no plans to even talk about it. He prodded me for information when he saw the other guy's name mentioned on the form and wanted details when I told him I was not fond of his idol colleague. This entire conversation was instigated and started by Gottlieb almost immediately after he came into the room to see me. This is the most unprofessional first visit I have ever had with any medical provider. I told my regular ENT about this interaction, and he was shocked at this kind of treatment and agreed that it was very unprofessional and bizarre. Terrible experience. There are plenty of ENT providers to choose from in the DFW area to help you with your needs; in my opinion you would obviously want to choose someone else who actually cares about you, the patient, wants your business, wants to help you, and won't judge you instantly and question you for even choosing to use their services or question you if your view on something or someone is different than theirs. Go anywhere else. I wish I hadn't seen this provider.

I want a real doctor who is responsible and genuine and that's him and his office! Dr. Gottlieb could easily read that right off the back and was just fantastic when it came to responding to me. Honest, to the point but I 100% felt and received top notch care. I had four other friends go to him for the deviated septum surgery and they couldn't stop raving about his work. I'm just now recovering and it has been such a healthy for the most part easy recovery. My face is looking great and not a lot of bruising! Surgery lasted an hour and that surgicare staff was just as amazing. Very rarely do I review doctors office but this was worth it!

I love leaving good reviews when good care is received!…read more First of all, I scheduled this visit as a sick visit because my ears were throbbing all night, I'm new to this office and wasn't too sure, but when I walked in, the atmosphere was very friendly and well taken care of. They gave me an iPad to check in and do forms, which I love because my hands hurt too and to write most of the time. The process was very straightforward and easy to do! The gentleman upfront was very nice even when they got busy he was still attentive, the nurse in the back was very sweet and friendly, and the doctor was as well. Dr.Livengood explained everything very well and offered a steroid injection to help. Overall, I had a very good experience, not to mention I was seen in a very timely matter and didn't wait 3 hours to be seen! I'm impressed and definitely will be considering making this my primary care doctor!
