Our design goal was to work with the natural draininage and lay of the land -- and Pete did not disappoint. His Bobcat professional [Paul] quickly turned Pete's vision into reality. His forms crew [Tony, Justin and Dean] had the experience and stamina to complete the pre-pour requirements on schedule and showed up at sunrise the next day, ahead of the three cement trucks to finish the job by sunset. Back to Eden Landscapes wasn't the cheapest bid we recieved, but their seamlessly-coordinated teamwork and the quality of the finished job allowed us to maintain our "work/shed" construction schedule. Not a good experience. This was an over $10k job, I expected better…read more After quote and down payment, process was slow. Granted we had to deal with heavy rainfall which caused delays. Time management was poor, he would tell us he was coming at 8am, show up at 11am. We had to keep calling him, to find out when he was coming. He continued to ask for payments but we pushed back on contract completion items. Now, 6 months after completion, I have had several leaks where fittings were not connected properly. I won't call him to repair because I don't feel he was reliable.

Greg did a rough sketch, added suggestions, and we went from there. All prior grass and planting material were removed by them as agreed upon prior to the work beginning. They had a clean slate to work with. Upon clearing an area with plants Greg and Jimmy came upon two alligator lizards that they moved to the back yard. Hopefully, they will find their way back to the front yard after the work is completed. They really did create a beautiful outdoors landscape bringing feelings of the Sierra Mountains and Joshua Tree to the landscape. An example of how a low maintenance and drought tolerant landscape can be lush and exciting. During the process, both Greg and Jimmy paid meticulous attention to detail with the placement of the brick walkway, brick lined pathway, placement of boulders, rocks for the dry creek bed, and plants. Happy that I opted to add the outdoor lighting. The lighting adds to the magic of the landscape. Needless to say, the landscape went beyond my wildest expectation and works well with a historical Tudor style home. It is gorgeous. Bummer, I had such a great experience with Alex just a few months ago. This time he ghosted me as…read moresoon as he received payment and has been unresponsive. I needed his help to get my property ready to be listed on the market. I ended up asking neighbors for help last minute as he failed to show after rescheduling with me. He quoted me Full Landscape Maintenance to include "mowing the lawn, precision edging, blowing off all hard surfaces, and professionally trimming and shaping all of the shrubs shown in the photos. We'll leave the entire landscape clean, neat, and well-groomed with attention to detail to give your property a polished, well-maintained appearance." He even said "I can include pressure washing of the concrete patio at no additional cost as part of the service to leave everything looking clean, fresh, and professionally finished." I also booked him to help me replace irrigation heads. When we came back to the house I was so sure he wasn't done but he was nowhere to be found. Weeds were left, I had to ask him to cut them down. Trash was left, I asked him to remove and that never happened. Concrete patio was never pressure washed, mulch was never swept up, debris on the concrete was never blown off. He had dug up a few irrigation heads to attempt to replace, since the heads weren't broken he didn't replace, but he also didn't fill in the hole and instead there was mud all over the concrete into the sidewalk. He had apologized and reassured me he will be back to fix his mistakes which I genuinely appreciated. Given our work history, I sent out payment in good faith. Surprise surprise, he didn't show up, then he rescheduled again! Alas he never showed and of course never responded. Incomplete work, non responsive, not a man of his word. Do not hire him. If you do end up needing his work, do not pay on Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp. Pay on your credit card because you will end up disputing the charges for incomplete work.
