The entire team stayed on, which says a lot about Dr. Choi. The other day I went in for a scheduled filling. They found, after numbing my gum and a few quick races with their brand new little x-ray gun (which makes it incredibly easy by the way) that there were a few small cracks in the tooth, but actually no cavity. Since I have terrible insurance right now and couldn't really afford to pay for the service, Dr. Choi said "no problem. We can defer this and there will be no charge for today." it is so refreshing these days when so much in life is so transactional. I had an 8:30 appt walked into an empty clinic with no one to check me in until 845. when i was finally acknowledged by front desk staff she said " your appointment was for 8:30, did you even complete the my-chart check in? it was sent to you last night" which i wasn't aware was needed. finally made it back to see dr Kim (she was kind) . then they had the same front desk staff member come to do a cost breakdown and they way she spoke to me was soo aggressive and rude . they should really get another person to do that job. when i seemed hesitant she told me "well your pain isnt going to go away" which i knew but did not care because i wasn't going to patronize a place that made me feel soo uncomfortable. when i refused service she ripped off the dental bib and stated "WE ARENT GOING TO DO ANYTHING THEN, YOU CAN LEAVE" i was genuinely shocked at how untactful she was its like she didn't even give the day a chance. needless to say i will never be going back Ever and i mean ever

I later pulled up the practice on Yelp but didn't see many reviews. After asking around and hearing stories about different practices I decided to give Lemon a shot. I'm so happy I did! The practice is clean and beautiful. Everybody from the first phone call through walking out the door was very friendly. I was afraid of going somewhere and then wanting to over treat, or have an aggressive treatment plan. This was not that at all. They genuinely care. I'm actually looking forward to coming back in 6 months! The wonderful hygienist that I had said she commuted from Vancouver for 6 months just to work at this practice! That speaks volumes. I left one of these as well on Google I want to warn people, trust your instincts They will also try to upsell you on things you do not need. I even discussed it with another office and found out that this is something that they all do but not necessarily needed, these people do not tell you The truth . Today I go in because they can do the extraction come to find out that because the endodontist did not put in the notes that he had discussed with me that if I continue to have pain to have the tooth removed and that it could cause more infections down the line because it has bone loss and will continue to get infections if I had originally had this done in the first place I wouldn't be going through this nightmare, they will gaslight you and say they didn't say things they did and then when I told them that my other dentist I saw yesterday agreed that it should be removed. He doesn't want to do it because it wasn't one of his doctors in Brightnow ?? Like she's not a Dr too ? This is a tooth that will continue to give me trouble. It's almost like a wisdom tooth. It's so far in the back. I've never been so angry at a dentist office in my entire life and this is now the second office in Olympia /Lacey. These people don't actually care . They also tried to tell me that it was myofacial Pain .. for what two months? It's not jaw pain and I love how people tell me what I'm feeling. The fact that no one else caught my infection aside from another place that irritates me so much. When you advocate for yourself they make you feel like you're wrong. Then along comes Dr. Winter to blow all my expectations out of the water. He may be Hollywood-handsome, but he knows his dentistry!! When he started to hint that a root canal was needed, I completely shut him down. He didn't argue with me. That's how gentle he is. His assistant Trish waited until I was ready for more info and she educated me, then Dr. Winter confirmed why this was the optimal solution for my particular dental concerns. More info always helps me make decisions like this -- vs. info that is scattershot and untrustworthy online. Trish gave me all the factual info I was missing. And then the hygienist Addie blew my mind with all the info she provided on how I can avoid spending more $ than necessary on the periodontal cleanings I need 4x a year. She really listened to all my concerns, and while she had my complete attention (meaning I couldn't yak since she was working on my teeth) she "brain-dumped" all the info I told her I was craving. She knows how to tailor her message to her audience. All without missing a beat as she cleaned my teeth. Great multi-tasker! Incredibly, she managed to turn my few remaining uncrowned teeth to an ivory to match my other teeth. Gone is all the yellow -- in a single cleaning! Why haven't other hygienists in the past done this for me??? Maybe because they were trying to sell me on whitening treatments I wonder? I can't take the risk of bleaching my sensitive teeth, and Addie totally sympathized. She gave me a crash course in protecting my teeth going forward. And last but most emphatically not least, this clinic has the most impressive technological advances I've seen at previous dentist offices. You'd think all this state-of-the-art technology would cost up the ying-yang but they really aren't any more expensive than the other dentists' offices I've dealt with. This is my very first Yelp review, because it's the first time I felt compelled to broadcast how great these people are!

I was fraudulently billed for "enhanced" teeth cleaning when in reality it was a standard teeth cleaning as I have gotten all of my life. I had to refer this matter to the Washington State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. Sound South Family Dental & Dentures refused to cooperate with the BBB. The accountant provided a false statement to the AG's office. Avoid trouble and stay away from this business.
