    Dr. Heiden and his staff are quite knowledgeable and personal. I have been going there for a few years now and will continue to do so.

    I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent visit to your office and to request a…read morerefund for services that were not disclosed to me in advance. Three weeks ago, I had a full eye examination with Dr. Wise, an ophthalmologist (MD) in Florida. Since I have worn glasses since high school, all I needed at this visit was a new prescription after losing my glasses. Last year, I also had a full exam at LensCrafters in Aventura, where the front desk clearly explained all costs and insurance coverage before my appointment. That visit was handled transparently and professionally. At MyEyeDr, however, the front desk did not explain what my insurance would or would not cover. During my appointment, a technician took retinal images without informing me that this would result in a $44 charge. I should have been told in advance and given the choice to decline. In addition, I was charged $140 for a contact lens fitting that was never discussed with me beforehand. The optometrist attempted multifocal lenses, which did not work for me. I was the one who had to suggest the lens setup I normally use (one lens for distance), and only then did he agree it would work. This left me feeling the fitting was unnecessary and not worth the fee. At checkout, I was presented with a bill of $640 that included these undisclosed charges. I was not prepared for such an amount and chose not to proceed with the purchase. The interaction with the sales associate afterward was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Because I was not informed of these additional services or fees beforehand, I am requesting a refund of the $44 retinal image fee and the $140 contact lens fitting fee. I believe this is a fair resolution given the lack of transparency and communication at my appointment. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and resolution.

    POOR ONLINE ORDERING EXPERIENCE. I placed an order for frames on 3/25/26 and paid via PayPal,…read morereceived a confirmation immediately but then didn't hear anything for a few days. So I emailed them on 3/28/26 to find out what the status was and did not receive a response. So today 3/31/26 I called and they told me the frames I ordered were actually not available and they would cancel my order. When I asked why they never notified me about any of this, the man on the phone just said "because we didn't get to it." They may have a great walk-in mall shop (I have no idea), but AVOID ONLINE ORDERS with Next Level Optical - they are amateurs.     3 stars I needed new glasses while visiting our son in…read moreFlorida January of 2024, this place got good reviews so went there, they were very nice HOWEVER I paid $500+ for the glasses which is fine it is what it is but I live in Indiana, the lenses I paid for I cannot seem to clean no matter what product or soap and water I use so I went to my regular optometrist for new lenses (December 2024) they said they would need to send them in, I cannot go without my glasses so they said if I called next Level they could give me the shape number of my lenses that they should have them and if not their lab should and that would prevent the need to send them off, I called was informed he did not keep that information, he didn't send lenses to a lab he did it himself but did not keep any of that information on file, I had him speak to my optometrist in case I was asking the question incorrectly, she hung up astonished, said he told her he didn't keep that kind of information in my file, he saw to many patients to do that?! my advice, find somewhere else

    To the Yelp readers. I am flabbergasted by the last…read morecomments and only 5 out of 7 comments made. Let's do a reality check. Thank you to the 2 positive reviews. I am in agreement there is a problem w/members of the staff (they are the front line -they are good at what they do however a little refresher in public/patient relations is in order) that's when one takes ownership and asks for the doctor call you back direct. Let's remember quality vs quantity. Dr. Braverman is excellent in his field. As he does have ancillary employees, it's a sign of his quality and teachings. Not incompetent in any way, knows what he is doing with out a doubt. Do your research Dr. Braverman is TOP in his field in the state of Florida, New York and the Country.... The Dr. Has written so much he is a skilled clinician as well as an accomplished educator. Not only is one anxious when making these life changing decision one is also in someone else's hands. And for one I am happy to be a witness to such a unique and rare eye condition in the presence of an expert. And fortune to find the authority in Rare Eye Conditions. (Toxoplasmosis) for My dear Friend, Patient Thomas J. Murray I witness nothing but exemplary patient care. In such a serious matter. The doctor saved Mr. Murray's Retina. 14 years later here we are to present. Mr. Murray has returned do to a partially detach cornea related to a bad contact lens experience. Bravo-Dr. Braverman, you have saved his eye again. In closing, if for some reason you are having a financial problem, a treatment problem, or are not following the doctors immaculate treatment orders. STOP don't complain, speak with the Doctor... If by now one does not know waiting will take place in a waiting room, then I can say, you don't want a doctor to pay attention to your very unique and medically over all health!! Their staff can definitely use some training on how to treat patients, or even use new staff. It's not right to have an appointment scheduled for so long, then call the patient on the same day an hour before their appointment (after they've rearranged their whole day) to cancel their appointment because they made a mistake! And it's not the first time it happened. They make too many mistakes! One of the girls is too busy on the computer online shopping instead of tending to the patients and she gets REALLY loud with all patients, embarrasses them in front of everyone. Just plain rude, nasty! Definitely do not recommend going here, EVER!
