Worked pretty extensively with Matt on a solar project. Went back and forth a ton and really got into the details of the scope of work, what I was looking for, and the equipment I wanted. We agreed on a price and equipment. With no notice, I got a contract with different equipment than I requested, at a higher price than we agreed to. The price on the contract was still very very good, and better than competitor quotes I had received. But despite having a strong start and Matt seeming like a really good guy, I get sketched out when people don't follow through on their word. If you get a quote from them, make sure it's not too good to be true. Can't comment on the quality of the work performed since it fell apart at the contract stage, but the portfolio he shares looks like he does good work. Matt's also pleasure to deal with. Shame we hit that roadblock at the end. read more

In the beginning, when they approached you they sounded caring about your money to not spend too much, BUT in the end, the price is skyrocketing, slow work, too late to cancel, and very poor quality, and cheap materials. So many UNPLEASANT surprises and deceit at the end. The worst deal ever - super expensive, low quality of work. 40K for 9 panels of solars, HVAC (thought the whole package, but it is not - they don't change, not even one, of the exhaust grille, not including the ductwork), and low-quality very long from China patio cover. The solar took a year to start working and not sure if they install them properly or new solar panels since so far only produce between $3-$7 credit through IID up until now. Once they got paid, nothing else they can do to help (sure). Be careful with their marketing scam of tax credit and 0.99% APR. after comparing with other solar companies, their price is doubled. Do your due diligence and hope that they will change in positive business conduct. read more

Very disappointed in this company. One of my fears in installing such an expensive thing attached to my house was that (with all the talk of warranties) the installers may not be around to help you if it all goes wrong. To be fair, the installation of our solar system was good quality, but wait until you have issues (and you will). We are not even 4 years out from the install (a system over $30k) and it's not working (apparently has been out 3 months but since they never set up tracking I had no idea and now am on the hook for $1200 extra power bills), and I could not get these guys to answer a simple email or return a call to diagnose the issue. We are having issues with the inverter faulting out (brains of the system). I finally had to call another company. Don't use this company. read more

I started with a different solar company through Costco. After the signatures they told me I'd have to replace the roof under ALL the panels including the plywood under the shingles. Cost was $5000 more! I got out of the contract and found Stephen Griffin construction. They matched the Costco price and charged me $1500 for a roof repair on a smaller section that actually needed repair. They did a great job and communicated well throughout the whole install. It was easier than I expected. Understanding the options and billing from the electrical company is complicated. I thought I understood it so I called the lady at Griffin Construction that does the paperwork for the electrical company. I was amazed how knowledgeable she was and patient in helping me understand the process and billing. read more

This is a cautionary tale...we had this company come out and give us a bid on a new roof and fascia replacement for our home. We had two sales people come to our house on April 11th and give us a very slick and convincing sales pitch! They promised us the moon. The job included everything and they promised us no other costs would be added! Jorrel, the salesman, even wrote in the contract, "price fixed" "will not increase." Not only did they give us a great price but said they would be able to come out toward the end of the next week and begin the job! We were in a time crunch because we had painters coming on June 1st. We were thrilled with the price and what seemed like a very professional company. My husband and I are both retired teachers on fixed incomes so we thought we were getting a wonderful deal! Then everything began to devolve. They sent out a person to measure the roof and report back to them. They said the permit was pulled and we waited for them to begin the job. The following week, they did not begin the project. When I questioned them as to why, they told us that they had a few other projects ahead of ours. They also said because of our steep roof, they would have to order extra safety harnesses. I didn't understand why they didn't tell us that sooner but we went with it. I did have a difficult time choosing the color but nothing that would have slowed up the job. The saleswoman kept in touch with me, which I really appreciated. Something I thought was weird was they sent out another person about 1 week later to measure the roof again. By April 24th the color was chosen and all they needed to do was start the job. We didn't hear from them until Sunday, April 29th at 10:27 p.m. by text. In the text they said they would be out in the morning and then said the following: "Just so we are on the same page, once the roofer tears of all the old roofing there might be an extra charge for structural damage..." My response: "I don't understand the extra charge. We were told the price was for everything including fascia and dovetails. We spoke about this when you were here with Jorrel. We did not want any other costs. He reassured us." We did not hear anything until the next morning. The saleswoman called and told me that they had underestimated the number of "roofing squares" they needed and that the cost overage would be almost $5000!!!! I almost fell off my seat! She also told me the tear off crew was on its way! I don't know if it was on its way or not but I needed to speak to someone else about this! She had "the president of the company" call me. It was her brother Matthew. He gave me the old, "I 100% understand you are upset" routine but I think he didn't at all understand how upset I actually was! I trusted this company to do what they promised. They in no way handled this in a professional manner. At this point, they did not even try to make a concession or try to make it better for us because the messed up. They had the attitude that it was my problem they messed up and that I just needed to deal with the extra $5000! I was shocked. I asked to speak to the owner, Steve Griffin. He called me about 20 minutes later and made it clear to me that he was in no way prepared to "eat $5000" on this deal. I assured him that I was in no way going to pay an extra $5000. I told him to stop his crew from coming over and I wanted my deposit back by the end of the day. About and hour later, his wife, Cathy called me. She seemed concerned that I was not happy and that they would get a less than a stellar review on social media. Only when I mentioned that we might split the cost of the overage did that become an option. I told her we had lost all trust in their company and that even the cost split would be a hard sell with my husband. It turned out that my husband, the most reasonable person I know, said, "Absolutely not!" He did not trust this company now, at all and neither did I! We were afraid they would try to get more money from us after the roof came off. They did bring me my deposit by the end of the day. I cannot speak to the quality of work this company does because we got out before they started our job. Use your own radar but remember, if it seems to good to be true, it usually is. Good luck! P.S. Even though we had to begin the stressful search for a new roofer all over again we hired, Andre's Roofing. We feel he is fair, honest and will do what he says he will do. read more

they do not responed to you . we first found this company over a year ago at the phelan fun days and said they will come out and give us a quote and never did. then we see them again at the fun days a year later left our info with them again and they said they will come out this time. gave my wife a call like two weeks later said they will be here on a sunday and still never came out for a quote . never heard from them since . I love working with businesses that -are knowledgeable, and if they don't know - they ask and get back to me ASAP -have a timeline and stick to it, show up when they say they are going to show up, and they don't leave early -communicate well, keeping me informed of what to expect and why. Steve Griffin Construction did an incredible job installing windows and solar for us. Will 10/10 work with them for future home projects. Thank you for your service. Our appointment with Paul was great. He was on time and very efficient. He worked around our families crazy schedule. It was so easy to work with their finance company who was also great. Paul kept us informed every step of the way. Paul contacted us to let us know when to expect the crew and approximately how long the installation would take. The installer where very polite and professional. I had a few questions and the crew answered them and explained what I needed to know.
