Showed up on time. Competitive bid and did not change from agreed quote. Took care of small details. Friendly and courteous. Very happy.

We used this company twice and were very impressed with their professionalism and work ethics, even recommended them to a relative who also used them. We thought great we have a roofer we can turn to if needed. So that is why we called them back for a minor repair. Marcos (who we dealt with on our previous jobs) came out to take a look. He even came into our home to visit for awhile, talking about his ranch home, animals he had and showing us family pictures. Told us the job would take about an hour and he'd be back the next day. Never showed up, never called, never texted. We sent two messages to him with no response. So very disappointed as we thought we had a reliable roofer we could turn to when needed. read more

MZ Roofing was able to quickly take care of our leak at a responsible price. Customer service was fantastic as well.

I had tiles missing on the edge of my roof and I wanted to make sure it was repaired before the next winter storm. I placed a few quotes through Yelp and the MZ Roofing was kind enough to make time for me the same day to do a quick estimate. Even though the job was small they are willing to go out of their way to help me. Marcos came over to my home and was very professional and cordial. He gave me 2 different estimates to fit my budget which I am grateful for. Because I was busy, they went ahead and did the job while I was at work. Once they were done, they texted me, sent pictures of the completed job along with the invoice through email. The whole process was very easy and simple. I highly recommend MZ roofing to take care of all your roofing needs. read more

Best explaining issues, reasonable pricing. Quick and thorough service. Local contractor and easy contact

The pre inspection went very well. Everything was very well explained. Employee was very helpful. Job was done quickly.

I'm not sure it it was Marcos that I met on the first day, but I wanted to thank you to him because after having several roofers come out with expensive drones trying to up-sale me on work I did not need. Marcos was the first person to actually get on my roof do a full inspection and show me where my house is leaking. The staff was very professional and friendly and a pleasure to work with. Reasonable pricing too. Precios razonables también. read more

Well, after 29 years with the original roof, it was bound to happen. After heavy rain, I looked up and saw the infamous stain on my drywall ceiling. Yup, leak.I'm a meticulous guy when it comes to a big job like this started calling companies. I kept a notepad and started calling. After 5 different companies coming out and telling me since I owned solar, they would have to sub-contract my job out to a solar specialist they work with. For the total job, I was getting quotes from $26k to $34k. Pretty ridiculous. I realized I was going about this the wrong way. I contacted a solar company I trusted (HPM Solar) and since I own the panels outright, I asked them for a roofing company they would recommend and work well together. They told me "MZ Roofing." A family owned, certified, licensed company. They came out and gave me a quote of $14,600 for a "Lift and lay." I asked whatbthey recommended, 30lb paper vs synthetic. They said it was up to me since the price was the same. Other companies were trying to upsell me and talking like a used car salesman. What I really appreciated was they had a clause in the contract that afforded a certain amount of leniency for damaged tiles and wood that needed to be repaired. All the other companies had an entire menu of uncharges they would force me to pay for. From $20 per tile they cracked to $100 per sheet of wood, to everything else. Those type of companies start at one price and end at another. Not MZ, they were straight forward, easy to communicate with. The workers were friendly and the company even brings a "port-a-potty" to stay at the job site. I cannot say enough good things about MZ. Not a single issue. They handled the permits, inspections and kept me informed. I'm grateful for being told about them and depending on them to replace my roof read more

After initially calling them for repairs Marco showed up the next day right on time for my estimate. Competitive price and had his guys make the repairs within a day or two. Good work and cleanup was great. Would definitely use them again! read more

I had a roof leak and they diagnosed the problem and did a great job. Another roofer wanted more just to replace some tiles but MZ said it was the valley that was causing the leak. I had a few missing tiles that needed to be replaced before a storm hit our area. Of the five companies that I reached out to for this project, MZ Roofing was not only able to provide a quote within an hour of my inquiry, but finished the job the same day of my request - within hours. The other four companies eventually got back to me, but their prices were all over the place and none could provide me a schedule. MZ roofing recognized it was an easy project and priced me fairly. They were honest, did a quality job, fast, and earned my business that day and going forward. I recommend MZ for all your roofing needs. read more

Marcos and the office staff were all very communicative and great to work with! After purchasing our new home we found out we needed a new roof and fascia board replaced. Marcos and his team were quick to come out for a quote and were very transparent and reasonably priced. MZ came out and gave me a fair quote to repair my roof leak. My house was built in the early 90's, so the roof tiles are hard to find and they were able to find some that match really well. They came out with-in a week of the quote for the repair. On the day of the repair they showed up on time and did a professional job on the repair. They took pictures of the whole process and sent me them after the repair. The work is warrantied for a year, which is great too. They did a great job and even left me some extra tiles. From the first contact message sent to MZ Roofing to the end of the job MZ Roofing was professional, courteous and fair. We had a repair on our roof that wasn't extremely major but very concerning to us....Marcos came, saw the shingles we needed and told me they could match the shingles and repair it quickly (we were worried about another Santa Ana wind event and possibly showers later). The workmanship was impeccable and his worker was conscientious and courteous. The work was perfect as I can't even tell where the repair was done! Their price was very fair. Not that I want to need to replace my roof in the near future, Marcos said I had several years left before I needed to worry....but I can tell you for sure MZ Roofing will definitely be the roofing company I would call for any roofing issues or replacement. Our 60'x13' patio roof needed significant repair. The rock roof was new in 2002. Skip to 2022, and not so good. I contacted MZ Roofing for an estimate to replace this with a better product. Marcos provided a couple options, along with quotes. He was more than happy to get a city permit at my request, even though it was probably not required due to the small percentage of the roof. We decided on a TPO-based patio cover with new plywood along the length of the patio plus new facia boards all around the roof. Marcos even came up with a brilliant way to brace up the side facia boards that other contractors did not suggest. Marcos and his crew kept an eye on the weather to be sure to complete the project during a window with no rain. (Very Much Appreciated!) Tear off of the old roof and replacement with new wood was all done in one day. They painted all the wood before it was installed. That alone looked great, but wait, there's more. They arranged for the city to do the initial inspection the next business day, and the crew completed installation of the new roof cover the day after the city inspector provided approval which included replacing a couple rows of matching asphalt shingles the length of the patio roof to seem the two roofs together. A cold rain come through later that week, which provided a great test of the new roof, yet delayed final inspection by a couple of days. There were no leaks, and the rain rolled off the new drip edges just like it should. Final inspection occurred in a couple days. It passed, inspection and looked marvelous from above and below. The crew did a thorough cleanup of the job site, and used special tools to pick up stray nails and staples that fell on the ground and in the grass. They properly disposed of all materials at the local dump. The final invoice matched the quote to the penny. That alone speaks to the integrity of this company. They're quick to answer the phone that's the only positive thing I can say. I had someone come look at my roof to give me a quote, they took no more than 10 minutes to look at the entire roof. What I expected for just a couple tiles. Once they finished the roofer told me it would be 3 days for me to receive an email with a quote. 3 day turned into a week still no response. I called the lady made it seem as she was still waiting on her boss to give her a quote one week turned into another week I called them again and the lady gave me the same excuse. I looked around quite sometime to find someone to replace my Father's roof. I decided on MZ roofing based on reviews, and they were super responsive and willing to accommodate my fathers schedule. They came out and did a professional and good evaluation of the roof. No pressure to go with them, no scare tactics. They basically said here is what we recommend, here is the price and let us know when you are ready. The office communicates quickly and efficiently. They provided options for down payment to be by check or Zelle. I don't recall if they did Venmo, but I used Zelle for the downpayment. With that, they got permits and only wanted to know what color we wanted. They were nice enough to bring samples for my father to see, bc brochures are not always accurate. After the decision on color was made, they went to work within several days, and were done within several days. My father said they were super professional, and their work was amazing. My father is very had to please and so I was amazed that there weren't any issues. There's been on rainfall since they did the roof, no leaks and things seem to be great. I would completely recommend them, and did so to my sister as well. No reservations on recommending these folks, They are great! read more
