Dr Steve has been my dentist for over 20 years. I have seen his practice from the beginning and I would not trust anyone else but him to take care of my teeth. He has done crowns, bridges, fillings, extractions and regular checkups on me. He has treated both my children as well and he made going to the dentist an unstressful situation. He is a very gentle and competent dentist. I hate shots but it is bearable when Dr. Steve gives them. His work is excellent and if my crown comes back even slightly off color, he has it redone for me. He cares about his patients and treats them with with the best dental procedures. Dr. Wong is such a great dentist. We live in Vallejo but prefer to still cross the bridge when any of us need to go to the dentist. My husband chipped his tooth last month, and Dr. Wong fit him into his schedule first thing the very next morning. My husband ABSOLUTELY refuses to go to the dentist, so it means A LOT for my husband to go and see Dr. Wong. Dr. Wong is very personable and makes sure you know and understand what he is working on. I have been a patient of Dr. Wong for almost 10 years now. He is a perfectionist, which is a key quality a dentist should have. No matter what I come in for (cleaning, filling, crown) he makes sure I leave his office happy with the result. He takes his time to make sure all of my fillings look just like a real tooth- to this day I can't even tell which teeth he has worked on because it looks that good. In addition, he never pressures me to opt for a more expensive procedure. Instead he explains into great detail on the pros and cons of each treatment options and answers all of my questions before he starts. He is also very down to earth and converses with me about anything (food, gym, etc), which is great because it takes away the awkward silence I get from the previous dentists I've seen. Very cool to know that he actually tries to connect with his patients. I can't forget his great staff. They are all very friendly and welcomes you as soon as you walk in. They are also very well educated on all of the dental procedures and are able to answer a lot of my questions over the phone. They are great with providing me estimates on all the work before I come in. I also see them laughing/joking a lot with both doctors which shows me that they have a great working environment. I could go on and on about all the great experiences I have had with this office, but it'll take me forever. Man-oh-man! I've never had a dentist I looked forward to seeing before. Dr. Wong is friendly, kind and easy on the gums.

I was a patient here for 15 years and was happy with the service until my last visit in September 2016 when they let me know that we had a balance on our account. And they couldn't tell me how it had happened. They took months to send me a bill. They sent the bill in 2017 and it was for over $500. The invoice was for treatments going back to 2014! They hadn't billed me correctly in 3 years?! To make matters worse about four weeks after receiving the FIRST invoice we got a FINAL NOTICE! They were going to send our bill to collections if we didn't pay the amount in full. When I made the final payment and told them we would not be going back they said what happened was that they had a virus and that's why they hadn't billed us correctly in 3 years. This was after asking for an explanation 8 months ago. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

I have lived in many cities in the U.S. and Dr. Steve is the best. His professionalism and great work speaks for itself. If you don't need a service, he will tell you. He's a caring and honest man and will not do any unnecessary services. Dr. Steve is tops in my book. and I'm so thankful he's my Dentist, Dr. Steve has the honesty and integrity to help the patient and not his wallet. No, services are not free, but, they are affordable, and you won't get taken to the cleaners for required services. I don't want to forget his office staff. Let me tell you that never, ever will you receive less than stellar service from them. They are always courteous and professional with you. Every patient receives nothing but kindness and patience from each member of Dr. Steve's staff. I used to hate going to the Dentist. Why? Because I was scared to death of the procedures. You can't find a better dr than Stephen Wong. My family and I have been with him for over 29 years. He is honest,caring,and when we need him he is there to helps us. As an example of how wonderful he is ; last January I need a root canal and went to see a specialist (female, who's name I can't remember) at Shadelands Endodontics, and after charging me for a "better " x-ray to identify any problems she said I only needed one root canal. However, once it was done she said I needed another one, well I called Steve and was able to see him and determine that I did NOT need a root canal . I used to live in San Pablo and now we live in Sparks,Nevada and we drive to see him for our dental needs . My husband,children and grandchildren love Steve Wong and his staff . I came for my first visit today; I have had absolutely horrible experiences in the past with dentists and was very nervous---but Dr. Wong made me feel very comfortable. I was very surprised that I only waited about 5 minutes to be called in. At other offices I would unfortunately wait about an hour to be called in. Not here! That was a definite plus in my book. Finding his office is a bit tricky though--his office/suite is located in the same building as a Concentra Urgent Care. You have to enter the building and take the elevator to the second floor to get to his office. After my xrays were taken, Dr. Wong began by explaining what dentists generally look for in the X-rays while showing me and giving examples with my own, and then proceeded with the check-up. I have been hurt and traumatized by plenty of dentists in the past but Dr. Wong was extremely gentle and even though I had a small chip in my tooth he was not "pushy," and told me that in all honesty I didn't need it filled now, but later down the line I would, and that it was up to me if I wanted to wait or not. I really appreciated this because I have had "pushy" dentists before, who tell me I need something done right away, and when I would get a second opinion I was told I didn't need anything done at all. I appreciated Dr. Wong's honesty and professionalism. Also, Carmen and Michael were very friendly and extremely welcoming. I have been sold and will be keeping Dr. Wong as my primary dentist. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone as well. read more
