Need a magnum? They've got you covered with various options to choose from - the bottles are beautiful and make a great gift. I popped in on a quiet Christmas Eve and was thrilled to find a magnum of the delicious, fruit-forward bottle we'd just been gifted and enjoyed: 2018 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 'Ponytails' The magnum gift was very happily received! I've been to Stephen & Walker pre-pandemic for tastings and appreciated their Zins and light bite pairings. It's located in downtown Healdsburg, just off the Plaza.

Highly recommend a visit to their tasting room. This is truly a family operation and they make beautiful wines.

The Pinots here are money. We first got introduced because my mother in law's neighbor, Kristin works here and gave her a bottle for the holidays. We had it with dinner when we visited and were so impressed. It was on our list to visit the next time we're in the area. Fast forward to when we were able to visit and taste the rest of the wines over Presidents Day weekend. The place is only a tasting room. They get their grapes from different vineyards and concentrate on perfecting the wines. Barbara Walker sure does know how to make amazing wines! They had some outdoor seating available and what a surprised because Kristin was working! She was so knowledgeable about the wines and gave us full details. The tasting also comes with some cheeses. It really complements the wines. The wines were so delicious that my husband decided to become a member. We don't live in the area, but now that we're members we'll need to visit his mom more and come here to taste and buy some more wines!

Such a disappointment. This was honestly the worst wine tasting experience that I've had in Healdsburg thus far. Made a reservation in advance through Yelp for 2 tastings here which was very easy. Stephen & Walker is one of the few tasting rooms on the square that's open passed 5, so I booked a reservation for my friend and I since we were having dinner in Downtown Healdsburg right after. I've been to several other tasting rooms on the square (I'm also a member of Wilson and JCB), but I had never been to Stephen & Walker before. It always seems busy when I've walked by, and I was excited to finally give them a try. Our reservation was at 5, but we were running a little behind from Trione's member pickup party. We called to let Stephen & Walker know, and they said that we were fine. When we arrived, we were sat on their front patio. As you know during COVID, tastings are by appointment only and on the patio only. Their front patio is setup very nicely and the ambience is there. It's $20 for a tasting and they do a cheese and wine pairing. Each tasting is waived with a bottle purchase. When we sat down, Deb gave us menus but didn't come back for a while to actually pour our wines. There were a few other groups there (maybe 2 other tables), but it wasn't busy. When she finally came back over, she just poured the wine and gave no explanation about it. In fact, she did this with every single wine that she poured. Speaking of the pours, they weren't very generous. They seemed to keep getting smaller and smaller as the tasting went on. Service was slow and inattentive throughout the duration of our tasting. Deb seemed more interested in assisting the other tables that were there. When we were ready to leave, Deb came over and asked "So what wine are you buying?". Wow. Um NONE. None of them were even worth buying. Not only was the service bad, but the wines were mediocre too. I didn't enjoy their white wines at all, and their reds were decent but not worth the price that they were charging for them. The cheese was good, but that's not even from their winery. It's from Williamson down the street (a much better tasting room too). My friend and I were both left extremely disappointed with our experience here. With so many wonderful tasting rooms on the square, there's absolutely no reason to ever come back here again in the future.

After joining a few other wine clubs prior to Stephen & Walker, I was stunned to find this winery and wish I had much sooner. On my first visit I met with Branden who was very knowledgeable on the wines and made sure to answer any questions I had. I especially enjoy bringing friends and family to try their wines, play games and relax. Their family and dog friendly environment are refreshing. Thank you for making this the place to be!

10/10! The wine is fantastic, the value is amazing, and the environment is so relaxed and awesome. They even have card decks and games you can play! I cannot recommend enough. This is our favorite place in Sonoma court by far. The tasting fee is waived by a purchase of 1 bottle. A must visit!

Multiple people told us to check this place out and I'm so glad we did. We went on a Sunday evening which was quiet but it seems like it is busy during peak hours. Carly was our sommelier and she was wonderful. Described the wines with so much detail, and gave us suggestions not only in the area to check out but also wineries/tasting rooms in San Diego. The artisan tasting was delicious, the cheeses and chocolates paired so perfectly with each wine. Both my girlfriend and I ended up buying bottles home (a bottle purchase waives the $20 tasting fee). During the holiday season, there are some specials with bottle prices as well! I will definitely be back again!

We found this place on yelp and couldn't be any happier! It's family owned and we met the son of the owners. Our bartender Yesenia was AMAZING (friendly, personable, & attentive) and it was only her first day serving people. The best part is that if you check in on yelp you get free tastings for TWO! and if you are just coming for a tasting, they will waive the tasting with you when you buy a bottle, which will make your overall cost even cheaper. They pair four cheeses with four wines, and the tasting includes a total of five wines. My favorite wines were the Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville (smooth, leathery, fruity) & the Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast. The salted truffle cheese was also amazing and they gave us extra which was an added perk. Definitely stop by if you are in the area! They are one of the few wineries that stay open late (7pm).

My first time- Stephen is a great host. The wines are delicious. I joined the club. I loved the small charcuterie plates.

Is there any vineyard in Napa that grape stomp all year around?

We chose to drop in Marine Layer Wines. The tasting room is located in a very nice area in beautiful downtown Healdsburg across Healdsburg square. Parking is accessible all around the street and Healdsburg square. The modern decor was beautiful and bright. There were plenty of tables and couches to accommodate all different size parties. The vibe was inviting and family friendly. There was a cozy fireplace in the front as well. We ordered a glass of Lyra Pinot Noir and a glass of Aries Chardonnay. My Pinot Noir was smooth while the wifey's Chardonnay was crisp and refreshing. The wine was great quality. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Marine Layer Wines. The staff was nice and helpful. Incredible wines, incredible views, and most importantly absolutely fantastic family running the vineyard. They have awesome member events - And super affordable price to join the members club. Incredibly stunning property. The people pouring the wine are so generous and kind. It can't be that hard to open a winery, right? Wait...how do you make wine? I guess it's not all that easy. However, the folks down at MoniClaire made it look effortless. And given their expansive property with breathtaking views of the Sonoma Valley, luxurious infinity pool and adorable wine tasting room I'm sure they are perfectly content with their decision to have opened a winery. This was our last stop on the Platypus tour and was also the most beautiful. Words really don't do the property justice, but the views were by far some of the best I've ever seen. The owner spent nearly an hour with us. We started in the tasting room where we had a few pours and tastes of cheese. We were then escorted through the property and over to his personal home and deck where we were able to snap photos overlooking the beautiful views of the wine region. The owner told us stories about the vineyard and we learned about how he quit a job in Silicon Valley to pursue his dream and named the vineyard after his two daughters. Our stop at MoniClaire was the perfect ending to our day of Sonoma wine touring and left me wondering one thing. Can I move in?

Mark is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate in what he does. You do have to make a reservation ahead of time though for tastings. But it's definitely worth it! Mark greeted us by the door of the tasting room/production facility which is just off the square. He spent time walking through the winery's history and how he and is brother run the business. By the end of the tasting we had talked about wine, food, music, documentaries, and much more. Mark made it feel like we were all siting around the kitchen table just talking about wine and life. I liked this setting (one group at a time with 100% participation) much more enjoyable than most other wineries we visited which have more of a bar/restaurant feeling where the server would just pour your tasting, give you the one sentence blurb they learned about it and then disappearing to help other tables for 10-15 minutes until it was time for your next pour. We started the tasting with their "White Wine" and Viognier. We then moved on to the reds including Pinot, Zin, Merlot, Malbec and Cab. They were all very well made and quite tasty. Ended up purchasing 3 bottles to go and a membership to be shipped later in the year. I'd definitely recommend others putting Blanchard on their list of places to visit in Healdsburg. Appointments are needed as Mark only does one group's tasting at a time.
