BEWARE! This practice should not be trusted! I usually don't take the time to review places but my experience with Mabry Dental was so corrupt that I felt I owed it to others to spread to word. I'm trying to save others from unnecessary dental work and unethical practice.
In early July, I had the misfortune of having a routine dental appointment with Dr.Kemps. I am someone who has not had dental issues and have always just maintained the 6 month cleanings. No issues, no cavities, just general check ups and cleanings every 6 months. But this dental appointment was like nothing I had ever experienced. They took a million x-rays and when I asked why they were taking so many, they seemed annoyed that I would ask and told me that it was to get me fitted for a night guard. When I shared that I don't grind my teeth, they said, we are fitting you in case.
Dr.Kemps was a complete alarmist and was visibly irritated with any of my questions during the appointment. She was pushy and clearly trying to sell me on things I didn't need. She insisted that I needed a night guard, even though there wasn't any evidence of grinding my teeth, she told my daughter that she needed her wisdom teeth out even though she had just had them removed 5 months prior, and the cherry on top was that she told me that I had 5 CAVITIES!! I was shocked because I have never had a cavity. I explained to her that I wasn't feeling any pain in my mouth at all and asked her to show me the cavities. Her response was, "well I can see them on the x-rays and Dr.Mabry agrees". The dental office was eager to make the appointments to have these "cavities" taken care of and wanted me to schedule all of the dental work before I left that day.
Luckily, I went with my gut and left without making any follow up appointment to have dental work done here. I waited 5 months, and still with no pain and no evidence of cavities in my mouth, I returned to my regular dentist. She thoroughly examined my teeth, took additional xrays, and also compared my new xrays with xrays from 2 years ago She shared with me that I actually have NO CAVITIES, and that there haven't been any changes in my mouth over the past 2 years to indicate any decay. I was both relieved and shocked that Mabry Dentist could get away with creating false dental problems and just assuming that their patients would believe them. This is so dishonest and wrong.
I caution anyone who is considering this dental group. Please get a second opinion before agreeing to have any work done to your mouth! read more
