I've been coming to Stephano for a couple of years now and this is my first review. Recently, Ive had an uptick in coming to him because I discovered if I purchase a larger sized pant in the waist, the length is long enough to fit my long legs. Sometimes I have to purchase a size 6 to be taken down to a 2 and Stephano is my GO TO. I've had so many pants altered and they fit my waist perfectly. He takes them, has me try them on and pins for a precise fit. Dresses and skirts too. He's soooo fast.. One morning I need a pair of pants that afternoon and he was done before I even got back home. Stephano is old school tailoring. He cares about the work and I will come back to him as long as he continues to work!!!! 8 stars if I could!!! read more

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the alteration done on my dress was done good. I get the sense that the owner is very skilled in his work HOWEVER, the owner is really, really, rude. First impressions are always important, and we only went to this place out of recommendation from the dry cleaners nearby. We came in, he didn't address us, so we politely greeted him. He was busy, which I understand, so we waited until he asked us what we needed, which was just a small alteration to a dress (just making it a little shorter). He told me to go put it on first, which I did, and then came out. We told him how short we wanted it, and he made me turn and turn, until he made me look at him and said " Stop. Please. Every time you look down it moves the dress".... I didn't know... this was my first time getting an alteration. Furthermore, I kept stepping on my dress which is why I looked Down for only a second. But the way he said it sounded like he was yelling, and mad. It felt like he was talking down on me. There is a kinder way of saying what you need me to do. You don't need to sound so rude. It seems like he has no respect for other people and he seems very strong headed and demanding. You can say it's how you were raised, it's your culture, or whatever, but you are running a business so you need to know that not a lot of people will like your attitude. You need to learn how to treat all of your customers. I was crying in the dressing room afterwards because it really sounded like he was mad at me for not knowing better. Also there was a guy who came after me and was waiting patiently, he didn't hear the owner the first time, and the owner threw his hand up, basically like a "come on, seriously?" way. I get it can be annoying sometimes but he was clearly on his phone and didn't hear you. You didn't have to do the hand motion, it was unnecessary. If you want the job done, you can be sure he'll do it, however you'll have to deal with the attitude read more

This tailor knows how to get the job done but he is a bit strong in the tone of voice and a bit rude, unfortunately. Also, it seems like he can't be bothered when he's on lunch because he eats inside the place and doesn't have a sign that says he's on break lol He comes off strong...I get that he's an older fella but he was a bit standoff-ish. We were really polite coming in and were excited to get some alterations done on a blouse and I even told him we are new to the area but he didn't seem to care. He made my mom try on the blouse so he can measure...I say "made" because he didn't ask politely and he asked for the payment upfront. There's a reason his shop has been open for years and I'm sure he's great at alterations but he should treat customers a little nicer because it's a bit off putting I would say it's fine to come in here if you're in need of alterations, but don't expect a friendly / respectful conversation. read more

The best Taylor in the valley. My wife needed her dress altered and it's a heavy beaded dress. Stephano did an amazing job. You can't even tell it had work done. Wow just amazing. I had the opportunity to work with Stephano from a recommendation. I was so surprised by the great work on the dress alteration, the timeliness and cheap cost. Compared to other tailoring shops in the valley this one was the best for the value. I called in to see if they needed to take appointments he said no just walk in was fine. There is one fitting room so I had to wait a little but definitely worth the wait. He was very attentive to my needs and works quickly. He keeps his word on the time he will get the job done. I brought in my dress on Monday and it was done by Thursday. Pay in advance is required at this store. $20 for a hem alteration for a lace dress. Looks fantastic! Please do not go to this place. The guy seems very nice initially like he can help you. I'm specifically talking about alterations. I had a dress taken there and a few other items, and after he not only ruined them, he didn't offer any solutions to make it better. Mind you everything had already been paid in full and he just told me I needed to figure out this is the way that it was.I would definitely reconsider this place because you think you're gonna get one thing and you get something completely different. If I could give zero stars I would. This place should be shut down. Took in two Robert Graham shirts to have sleeve shortened. This place did the worst job possible. He ruined my shirt. Not only were there threads all over the place the RG that is on the sleeve is now just an R with a hole in it. The shirts were new with tags. He didn't want to reimburse me without my receipt which I didn't have so I will now be taking him to small claims court since the shirts are almost $200 each. I told him he show her embarrassed by his work quality. He said at a loud tone "I am the BEST". He may be the best at something but alterations is not it. Brought a $300 bodycon dress to have taken in at the knee and shorten. Simple right? Paid double price for a 24 hour turn around. Since he did a decent job hemming a jean jumper and dress the first time I figured he'd do a decent job. I picked up the dress 3 hours before my event and tried it on at home. THE DRESS WAS LONGER THAN THE FRONT! LOOKED LIKE A HANGING CURTAIN! I ran back to show him the hack job and he says he doesn't look at the back so he didn't notice! The inside dress lining was also twisted and he didn't care because it visually looked fine to him. He had a major macho attitude but agreed to fix it. I waited 20 mins for another bandaid hack job. I was so upset I couldn't wear the dress for my event but lesson learned. I will never go here again! Just rude to everyone who came in! Go somewhere else if you want a trusted tailor! I don't know how his wife or the lady working in the shop deals with him. Bless her heart! My husband has also been there before (once) and he got stuck with a needle!
