Been here 2x - best place in the valley to get your pants altered. Great work and they also patched my son's jeans which he dragged through the ground because it was too long so yes they can fix broken jeans as well. Just make sure you bring them clean that is their requirement. No same day service but it's pretty fast - it'll take a few days. If you're looking for same day service go all the way to downtown by the fashion district. Great value - depending on the type of pants or if you want original hem it'll be more. $10-20 is the range for jeans alteration I think. read more

Jimmy is amazing! My review is really for Jimmy. I had a situation where I had lost my receipt for my pants. They had a sign up at the front to make sure to keep your receipt. I was going to take a picture of mine but both my hands were full, as I also picked up our long bridesmaid dresses. When it was time for pick up, they couldn't find my pants of course. Jimmy and his wife looked everywhere and they couldn't find them. I felt more horrible having them do all that work than actually losing my pants. I apologized profusely, I was really embarrassed. I said I'll just come back another day so I can try to look for my receipt again. When I went back a week later, I told him I really couldn't find it but I pulled up the picture of my pants when I ordered them online. Jimmy really focused on looking for them. Honestly his wife didn't even greet me as soon as I walked in at their shop. I don't blame her since I know for sure she was still upset with me from last time. After searching top to bottom, Jimmy found my pants! He was still smiling after all that. About the alteration, they did a great job for both our dresses and my pants. The stitching looked just like the original, as they should but at a more affordable price. The owner is a very honest guy and made the process so easy. They have 2 fitting rooms to try on your clothing. He takes his measurements that you need on the clothing. It's a cash only but the prices are very reasonable to what you will find in the area. I picked up a week later and it was great work exactly what I was looking for. For simple alterations like hemming pants, this guy is good. He did a fine job on a couple pairs of jeans I brought in, and I might come back if I need other pants hemmed. For more complicated items like dresses, I'd recommend looking elsewhere, as he was unable to finish the job and unfortunately therefore my dress, which cost about $150, now looks worse than when I started, and he told me he's unable to correct the odd gapping that was created left from the first round of alterations. I don't understand, as this seems like a simple fix to my eyes, but he just kept saying no with no explanation. read more

His work is pretty consistent and turn around times are usually a week. If you lose your receipt and don't remember what you brought in to get fixed, good luck because they're organization system isn't that great lol. They only accept cash which sometimes is a hassle because everywhere is cashless payment these days. He can't alter everything because I brought in some Loewe jeans that needed to be taken in at the waist but he wasn't able to because I wanted to keep the back tag/patch (hello it's an $1100 pair of jeans) and belt loop holes so I had to take the jeans elsewhere to be altered. The shop is right next to a laundry mat so parking is sometimes a hassle and the area is sketch but his prices are less than most shops in the valley read more

Finding a good tailor is like finding a great barber; you stick with them for life once you found "the one". I took a pair of pants that I received from SuitShop that were too loose/baggy despite being "slim". I found that Jimmy's was local and the closest to me so I decided, meh why not? I walked in and was greeted warmly by Jimmy. I told him that I wanted my pants hemmed, tapered, and made slimmer. Jimmy had me try them on and then spent nearly 10 minutes measuring and pinning everything to ensure it was PERFECT. I didn't even have to make a single comment because he knew EXACTLY what I wanted just by looking at me. Turn around was about a week as I told him I was in no rush. The wait was definitely worth it because Jimmy went above and beyond what I expected. The hem was perfectly hidden, the taper was exactly how I wanted it, and the slimness was on point. 100/10 job and I'm now ready for the back-to-back weddings I have planned! We are so happy we found Jimmy's Alterations! Husband-wife alteration team. The most affordable and reasonable alterations service! We've only brought pants to hem (at least a dozen men's pants and a few wide leg women's pants). $7 for hemming straight-leg pants; $10 for wide-leg pants. You will need to try on the pants (there are 2 dressing rooms) and they will measure and check with you how short you want it hemmed. We returned in 3-4 days to pick up the pants. Professional worksmanship and perfectly done! Jimmy's is the only place we will bring our clothes to be altered! CASH ONLY! (An extra plus is that they are next to La Michoacana ice cream shop so I usually get a scoop for the road!) read more
